Capcom to release standalone PC benchmark tool for Monster Hunter Wilds

Monster Hunter Wilds is almost here. With Capcom having recently announced the second and final open beta test, set to take place before its launch next month, the team have shared new details on some of the improvements beta players can expect from the game’s full release, including a standalone PC benchmark tool.

In anticipation of the upcoming 2nd beta test for Monster Hunter Wilds, the team at Capcom offered a small look at some of the changes players of the first beta can look forward to with the second outing (and also launch), taking to Twitter to say:

“Here's a look at our updated Prioritize Performance mode for PS5. The team has been addressing rendering issues from the open beta test and is continually working on improvements for launch.”

Due to Twitter compression, it’s tough to determine exactly what has been changed, however hopefully the improvements should be more noticeable in-person.

Beyond this however, Capcom also confirmed that the PC platform has gotten some additional love since beta 1, writing “here are the performance goals planned for launch! PC Gamers: Performance will be improved in a similar way and we are looking into whether we can lower the recommended GPU requirements,” adding that “We also plan to release a standalone, free hardware benchmark tool.”

Capcom’s recent games have been increasingly more demanding hardware-wise, and with Monster Hunter Wilds easily set to be the biggest entry yet, it is nice to see that Capcom is trying to accommodate as many set-ups as possible.
