The Life is Strange series is an excellent franchise helping to keep the choice-based adventure genre alive with interesting stories full of heart, relatable characters and a nostalgic vibe. Following on from 2024’s Double Exposure, Square Enix has now confirmed that they will be unveiling the 6th entry in the series next week.
Taking to YouTube, the official Life is Strange channel has teased that the franchise is set to return this year, posting an upcoming livestream set to go live on the 20th of January.
While there is very little to go on so far, the description for the livestream reads as follows: “Separate the real from the rumor… Join us for the exclusive reveal of the next Life is Strange game.”
While this could be a hint towards the game itself, the description is likely in reference to a recent leak by the PEGI ratings board for a game called Life is Strange: Reunion.
Curiously, the description for the title was eerily similar to that of the very first LiS entry – and so this comment by Square could be them trying to hint that there’s more to the game than the leaked description let on.
Either way, we won’t have to wait long to find out, with the Life is Strange livestream set to go live on the 20th of January at 5:30PM UK time.
