Michelle Mills and Geraint Berry sentenced to 19 years each for conspiring to murder Christopher Mills

A woman who plotted with her secret lover to murder her husband so they could start a new life together has been jailed for 19 years.

Michelle Mills, 46, and Geraint Berry, 47, planned to kill Christopher Mills so they could continue their affair, and Berry recruited Steven Thomas, also 47, to help carry out their attack on 20 September last year.

UK Foreign Office victim of cyber-attack in October, says Chris Bryant

Minister says ‘any individual’ at low risk from hack, while Sun reports Chinese cyber gang responsible for breach

The UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office was hacked in October, the minister Chris Bryant has said.

Bryant, a trade minister in Keir Starmer’s government, told Sky News there was a low risk to “any individual” from the cyber-attack.

Officers make arrest in connection with deaths of Harry and Megan Tooze in farmhouse in Llanharry

An 86-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the killing of a married couple who died after being blasted with a 12-bore shotgun more than 30 years ago.

Harry Tooze, 64, and Megan Tooze, 67, were killed at their farmhouse in Llanharry, south Wales, in 1993.

‘Lonely, terrifying and scary’: 70% of students in UK university halls feel isolated, poll shows

Students blame reliance on phones plus pressure of accommodation costs for lack of social life

More than two-thirds of students in UK university halls feel lonely or isolated, blaming accommodation costs and over-reliance on phones for limiting their social life.

One in three students in halls of residence – 33% – are lonely or isolated at university often, with another 37% feeling that way occasionally, according to a poll by Opinium commissioned by the student accommodation provider PfP Students.
