"They had a conversation where she didn't indicate that it was her son in the photograph, but she said it might be something that she could see him doing," NYPD Chief of Detectives Joseph Kenny said.
Cops received a 911 call just after 7 p.m. about a man who was spotted waving a gun at people near East 107th Street and Madison Avenue in Manhattan, according to sources and the NYPD.
"That’s actually nasty. I can smell it as soon as I walk out of the elevator. Almost taste it," a police officer exiting the building said of the stench.
Jackson, 84, is being treated at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and is under observation for Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, his organization, Rainbow PUSH Coalition, said in a statement to WLS.
The fire broke out on the top floor of a five-story apartment building on East 81st Street between First and York Avenue in Yorkville around 12:30 p.m., according to the FDNY.
