Apple Product identifiers have leaked every Mac release through 2026

Apple is developing many new M5 and M6 Mac configurations, and we now have exclusive details on exactly what the company is developing.

Nearly all Macs available new in 2025 feature Apple's state-of-the-art M4 chip, with the MacBook Air and Mac Studio receiving the new processing hardware in March 2025. Internally, however, Apple is already working on the two devices' respective replacements, and even the practically forgotten Mac Pro is set to get a major hardware upgrade.

Through our own data and information shared with us, AppleInsider has learned of 15 new Mac models currently in development. People familiar with the matter — and common sense — have told us that Apple plans to introduce its M5 chip within a matter of months, and that M6-equipped devices could see some significant changes in late 2026.

New UPS text scam targets iPhone users with fake package redelivery info

Cybercriminals and fraudsters are using fake texts, this time from UPS, to gain access to iPhone users' personal information. Here's how to stay safe and keep your data from falling into the wrong hands.

Text messages claiming to be from the package delivery service UPS have been popping up as part of a new phishing scam. Much like the fake DMV texts our staffers receiver earlier in June 2025, which scared people with claims of unpaid traffic tickets and threats of legal action, the fraudulent UPS texts inform users of a supposed failed package delivery.

The message even instructions about how to reschedule delivery, and claims that failing to do so will cause the unspecified package to be returned to its sender. The scammers behind the message put in a considerable amount of effort, and it may appear legitimate at first glance, given the lack of any obvious grammatical errors.
