Police shared that Hackman was likely dead at least nine days before his body was discovered.

A prescription pill bottle and pills scattered around the room where Arakawa was discovered, according to the police affidavit.

Gene Hackman's family released a statement following their deaths.

Betsy “obvious signs of death, body decomposition, bloating in her face and mummification in both hands and feet,” per the report.
