Erik Wemple reportedly wrote an unpublished column about the resignation of David Shipley, the opinion page editor of the Washington Post.

Erik Wemple, media critic for the Washington Post, had his column about owner Jeff Bezos' recent move to overhaul the newspaper's opinion page spiked, according to a report.

Shipley is a former speechwriter for Bill Clinton. He parted ways with the Washington Post earlier this week.

Current and former staffers at the newspaper criticized the move by Bezos.

Kristin Donnelly, the executive producer of CNN’s "The Source With Kaitlan Collins," has announced her departure from the network, according to a report.

Collins, host of "The Source," is also chief White House correspondent for CNN.

CNN continues to lag behind cable news rivals Fox News and MSNBC in total viewership, according to Nielsen figures.

Maddow, MSNBC’s most prominent anchor and top-rated host, will retain her executive producer, Cory Gnazzo, along with several senior producers.

Rachel Maddow is MSNBC's most bankable star.

Alex Wagner will no longer host the 9 p.m. hour from Tuesday through Friday.

Most of Maddow's staffers were let go in the shakeup that claimed Joy Reid's show earlier this week, according to a report.

Katie Phang, who hosts a weekend show on MSNBC, will be reassigned within the network, which will no longer air her program.

José Díaz-Balart, who hosts a program on weekdays, will also be reassigned.

Jonathan Capehart will no longer host a show on weekends. His program was another casualty of MSNBC's overhaul.

Maddow was critical of the network's decision to give Reid the boot. She did not mention layoffs of her own staffers during her Monday night program.
