Twenty students and four staff members at the public school were treated for eye irritation and difficulty breathing.

Melissa Mercado’s behavior was under review, an NYPD spokeswoman said.

Detective Joseph Azcona, 26, died at a hospital and a second officer who was also shot was recovering from his injuries.
