A bill in Washington state to overhaul the Parents Bill of Rights caused controversy this week after a 48-hour sexual assault notification rule was nixed.
Sens. Joni Ernst, R-Iowa, and Michael Bennet, D-Colo., along with Rep. Tracey Mann, R-Kan, are sponsoring a bill to adjust the Free Application for Federal Student Aid qualification requirements to halt an unfair disadvantage for farm families.
