This official Microsoft Xbox controller is identical to the one that's bundled with the Xbox Series X and S console. Standard features include textured grips, hybrid D-pad, button mapping with the Xbox app, a 3.5mm audio jack that works with any wired headset, and a Share button to upload screenshots and video.

The controller supports both Xbox wireless and Bluetooth connectivity. That means you can use it for your PC or mobile device. The Asus TUF F16 is a solid mid-range 2025 model featuring an anodized aluminum top and durable polycarbonate chassis. It weighs in at about 5 pounds and measures 0.7" thin. Full specs include a 16" 1920x1200 165Hz display, Intel Core i7-14650HX CPU, GeForce RTX 5070 GPU, 16GB of DDR5 RAM, and a 1TB SSD. The Intel Core i7-14650HX is a 2024 HX-series processor with a max turbo frequency of 5.2GHz and a total of 16 cores and 24 threads. Although this is a slightly older 2024 model, it's still an excellent, powerful mobile processor that will perform well in both gaming and general multi-tasking productivity, even in apps that can utilize multiple cores.

The GeForce RTX 5070 is an unthrottled 115W model

The RTX 5070 is an unthrottled model with 115W TGP (not including dynamic CPU boost) and performs about 5%-10% better than the RTX 4070 that it replaces. That's not a very big generational improvement, but the RTX 5070 has the newer DLSS 4 technology with multi-frame generation, which widens the performance gap in games that support it. It's capable of handling just about every game out there on the display's 1920x1200 resolution. Some people prefer a higher resolution laptop screen, but in my opinion, it's an unnecessary load on resources for minimal visual fidelity gain. A 16" FHD+ laptop display has a pixel density of roughly 140ppi, which is comparable to a 32" monitor with 4K resolution.

MSI Katana (2025) RTX 5070 Gaming Laptop for $1,049

Walmart has another similar model - the MSI Katana - for a slightly lower price of $1,049. This laptop is equipped with a smaller 15" display but it has a higher 2560x1400 (QHD) resolution and 165Hz native refresh rate. The rest of the specs, including the CPU, GPU, RAM, and SSD are mostly identical. The Katana uses a composite plastic for both the top lid and the chassis, if that matters to you. It weighs in at about 5.3 pounds.

Although the LG Z3 is a 2023 model, it's actually the latest 8K OLED TV released (there is no "Z4" model). This 77" TV is equipped with an Evo series OLED panel with MLA (micro lens array) technology similar to LG's Gallery series G3. This was LG's highest quality panel at the time, superior to both the C-series TV, which has an EVO OLED panel without MLA, and the B-series TV, which has a traditional W-OLED panel. EVO OLED TVs with MLA are significantly brighter, which improves image quality, allows for better visibility in bright rooms, and punches through glare and reflections.

Of course what sets the Z3 apart from all other OLED TV models is its 8K resolution, which has quadruple the pixel count of 4K. Unfortunately, the sad reality is that there's hardly any native 8K content available outside of YouTube and a few esoteric channels. That said, the Z3 can also upscale 4K content, and on a big 77" screen size, upscaling truly helps. Today's upscaling tech is a lot more advanced than it used to be, and upscaled 4K-to-8K looks noticeably better than straight 4K thanks to LG's AI-assisted a9 8K Gen6 processor.

8K and OLED technologies aside, the LG Z3 has all the features you'd want in a current generation gaming TV, including a native 120Hz panel and four HDMI 2.1 ports that can run games in 4K at 120Hz on a PS5 or Xbox Series X console. Interestingly enough, it does support refresh rates at up to 100Hz at 8K resolution.

If you're here to window shop, that's understandable. A 77" TV for $4K is still an extreme splurge for most people. But it's a heck of a lot cheaper than $10,000.

The Ecoflow River 3 is a truly portable power station that weighs in at under 8 pounds and is 30% more compact than its River 2 precedessor. The AliExpress model has a slightly lower 230Wh capacity compared to the 245Wh on Amazon. Other than that, the two are identical; it has two 300W (600W surge) AC outlets, one 100W USB Type-C port, and two 18W USB Type-A ports. The River 3 can be recharged using traditional AC from 0% to 100% in only one hour.

The River 3 uses LiFePO4 cells, which are safer and retain their charge longer than other lithium battery types. The 230Whr battery is meant for lower powered electronics like your PC or laptop, phone, tablet, or just about anything else that doesn't use too much electricity (ideally under 200W). Power hungry electronics and appliances won't last long.

Although the River 3 is typically used as a mobile backup power solution when you have no available grid power, it can also work as an always-on passthrough AC power strip. It has an EPS function that will automatically swap to battery power when there is a power outage. The shutoff delay is less than 10ms, which is fast enough for even sensitive electronics like PCs to remain powered on during the switchover.

The River 3 is a smart battery and thus you can change settings, check on its status, and power on or off outlets remotely, all from your phone. In my personal experience, Ecoflow has good product support.

The Sony WH-1000XM6 headphones is the 2025 successor to the WH-1000XM5 that was released way back in 2022. Both sound quality and noise cancelation have been noticeably improved on the XM6 thanks to a more powerful QN3 audio processor and a total of 12 beam-forming microphones that do a great job of picking up and cancelling out unwanted noise. The XM6 is also more comfortable to wear because of the hinged earcups. The same design also allows the XM6 to be more easily stowed away since the earcups can be folded inwards to fit in a smaller carrying case.

It can last up to 30 hours on a single charge, and a quick 3 minute top-up over USB Type-C will give you up to 3 hours of continuous playback. You can save some money by going with an older generation XM5 or even the XM4, but as long as it is within your budget, the XM6's improvements in sound quality, noise cancelation, and ergonomics makes the new model worth it.

The iBuypower gaming PC is generously equipped across the board. It features an AMD Ryzen 9 7900X CPU, Radeon RX 9070 XT GPU, 32GB of DDR5 RAM, and 2TB M.2 SSD. The Ryzen 9 7900X processor has a max boost clock of 5.6GHz with 12 cores and 24 threads. This is an excellent CPU for both gaming and multi-tasking and you won't need to upgrade from it for a long time. The Radeon RX 9070 XT Received a 10/10 at IGN

The AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT is the only 2025-released GPU that we gave a 10/10 score. Even though it costs $150 less than the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Ti, the 9070 XT beats it out in several of the games we tested. In a few benchmarks, the results aren't even close. The 9070 XT approaches the performance of the $1,000 RX 7900 XTX but with better ray tracing and upscaling performance than its predecessor.

The Samsung S84F is a current generation (2025) TV that's equipped with a W-OLED panel. OLED TVs boast superior image quality compared to any non-OLED TV thanks to its near-infinite contrast ratio, near-instantaneous response times, and ability to produce true blacks. The main difference between this TV and Samsung's more expensive S90F is that the S84F doesn't have quantum dot technology which offers a bit higher brightness and a slightly wider color gamut. Unless you put the TVs side by side (and even if you do), the different in image quality is probably unnoticeable for most people.

The Samsung S84F has the features you want in a current-gen gaming TV, like HDMI 2.1 ports and a native 120Hz panel for running 4K at 120fps on a PS5 or Xbox Series, variable refresh rate and auto low latency mode. It's also a good TV for running the Nintendo Switch 2 in docked mode, although the Switch 2 can only run games at up to 60fps in 4K.

Right now this is the lowest price we can find for a brand new and fully warrantied 65" OLED TV, especially if you want to stick with a tried and true brand like Samsung. Best Buy is a good place to buy your TV from because it's easier to return if you have any problems (a 65" TV can still fit in a reasonably sized SUV).

The Bambu P1S is the best Bambu 3D printer for most people; this is Bambu's mid-range model and offers several useful premium features at a reasonable cost. It's almost entirely fully assembled out of the box and setup should take under 15 minutes. Unlike cheaper 3D printers, the P1S features a fully enclosed chamber, which is necessary to stabilize temperature and ambient conditions in order to produce more consistent results. It boasts an acceleration speed of up to 20000 mm/s² and can print a benchy in 18 minutes. A built-in camera allows you to remotely monitor the printing process.

The P1S Combo model includes the Automatic Material System or AMS. This module basically allows for multi-filament printing, which means you can use up to four different types of filament material or colors per AMS (you can daisy chain up to four AMS to manage as many as 16 different filaments). The AMS itself normally retails $350, so it's best to get it in this combo, especially if you plan on getting it anyway in the long run.

For 2025, Alienware replaced its venerable m16 laptop with two new models - the 16X and 16 Aurora. Of the two, the 16X Aurora is the model I would recommend for most gamers. It has a higher price tag but the upgrades more than make up for the relatively small price premium. Here's a list of all of the improvements:

• Better display (2560x1600 240Hz G-Sync vs 2560x1600 120Hz)
• More powerful CPU (Intel Core Ultra HX series vs Intel Core H-series)
• Higher GPU TGP rating and thus better performance
• More premium materials (metal alloy lid and chassis vs lid only)
• RGB keyboard vs white-only backlighting
• Thunderbolt 4.0 port

Compared to other Alienware laptops, the 16X Aurora is designed to look less like a gamer's laptop. It boasts a sleek, understated design with the absence of extraneous visual-only embellishments or unnecessary RGB lighting outside of the keyboard illumination. This is a solidly built machine with a metal (magnesium alloy) chassis and anodized aluminum lid and bottom shell. The keyboard deck is made out of a sturdy composite plastic so that your hands don't get too hot or sweaty. Under the hood, the 16X Aurora packs a punch with powerful components and Cryo Chamber cooling.

The Sonos Era 100 retails for $219 new, but you can pick up a certified refurbished model for just $134. This is Sonos' most popular and most versatile speaker. Despite its compact size, the Era 100 houses two tweeters, a mid-woofer, and three class-D digital amplifiers to produce precise, distortion-free audio even at high volumes. It has a built-in microphone for smart functionality. Because of its flexibility, it's often paired with a sound bar or a second Era speaker.

Sonos Arc Soundbar

Sonos doesn't discount its flagship Arc lineup of speakers very often, so it's a wise investment to jump on a good sale when you see one. The Sonos Arc was discontinued last year to make way for its successor, the Arc Ultra. The release of the Arc Ultra doesn't make the Arc any less of an outstanding speaker. The Sonos Beam is a great option for someone who requires a more compact sound bar or simply doesn't want to spend too much money on a speaker system. It's attractively priced right now at just $299, so $100 less than the Arc. The Beam (Gen 2) is a 26-inch long, 5.0-channel soundbar with one tweeter and four mid-woofers for natural, balanced sound and four passive radiators to help with the low end. Although the Beam doesn't have physical height channels, it has two virtual height channels for Dolby Atmos support. There's also a built-in microphone for smart functionality.

Sonos Sub 3 Subwoofer

The audio savvy knows that a single speaker isn't enough to reproduce an entire soundstage. If you could pick only one other speaker to supplement your existing one, then a subwoofer would make the most meaningful impact. If you want to add ground-shaking bass to your Sonos setup, there's still nothing better than a separate standalone subwoofer. The Sub 3 boasts plenty of power in the form of dual inward-facing 5"x8" woofers and a ported design that allows for a louder and deeper low-end.

The AirPods Pro 3 launched on September 19, so it's just over 2 months old and you can already get it for over 30% off. Like its predecessor, this is easily the best earbuds for anyone who uses an iPhone. Although it looks pretty similar to the 2nd gen AirPods, there are some pretty significant improvements under the hood. The most notable new feature is the built-in heart rate sensing, but the AirPods Pro 3 improves in other subtle ways as well, including better audio quality, better noise cancelation, long battery life, and a more weatherproof IP57 shell.

Released alongside the AirPods Pro 3 was Apple's "Live Translation", which is an Apple Intelligence feature that will translate other languages on the fly. You can upgrade to 32GB of RAM for an extra $150, which is reasonable considerign the extraordinary price surge of DDR5 RAM these days. The processor is cooled by a 240mm all-in-one liquid cooling and the system is run off a 1,000W 80+ Platinum rated power supply.

Alternatively, for an extra $650, you can upgrade to a more powerful Intel Core Ultra 9 285K processor and double the memory and storage. That isn't very cost effective for most people, but you might want to consider getting this config if you can make use of the extra cores and you don't plan on doing any upgrades yourself in the future.

The GeForce RTX 5080 GPU will run any game in 4K

Performance-wise, the RTX 5080 is no slouch. It's one of the fastest cards on the market, bested only by the $2,000 RTX 5090 and the discontinued $1,600 RTX 4090. This is a phenomenal card for playing the latest, most demanding games in 4K resolution at high settings and ray tracing enabled. The RTX 5080 supports DLSS 4 with multi-frame generation, which means you can push even more frames out of games that support the technology with minimal visual compromise. Recent games that support it include Doom: The Dark Ages, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Borderlands 4, Stellar Blade, and Battlefield 6.
