A former ballerina and MIT graduate made history, unseating Lucy Guo, Taylor Swift and Kylie Jenner to become the world's youngest self-made female billionaire.

Kalshi co-founder Luana Lopes Lara was named the youngest self-made female billionaire with a net-worth of $1.3 billion.

Luana Lopes Lara studied computer science at MIT in Cambridge, Mass.

Scale AI cofounder Lucy Guo held the title for eight months.

Lopes Lara co-founded Kalshi with Tarek Mansour.

Lopes Lara, a Brazilian native, attended the Bolshoi Theater School in Brazil to study ballet before graduating and moving to Austria to pursue a career as a professional ballerina before studying in the US.

Taylor Swift, currently worth $1.6 billion, has dinner at the Corner Store in New York City on Nov. 7, 2025.
