“Democracy is people power. But fascists want one leader or a small group of elites to have all the power. And that is what’s happening in the United States right now," Weingarten writes in her new book, “Why Fascists Fear Teachers."
If the school districts don’t come into to compliance with federal law by Friday, the Trump administration will not certify their multi-million dollar magnet school grant applications.
“Americans are answering their country's call to serve and help remove murderers, pedophiles, rapists, terrorists, and gang members from our country," DHS Secretary Kristi Noem said in a statement.
"The fact that these bills received bipartisan support shows that both sides recognize the need to change the trajectory of violence in our nation’s capital."
