Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine 2 reaches new milestone with 6 million ‘unique players’

Released over a decade following its first entry, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 launched in September last year to a wave of success; both critically and commercially. As we continue through 2025, it seems as though momentum for the title has not slowed down – having now reached another sales milestone of 6 million players.

As shared by PulluP Entertainment (formerly Focus Entertainment) during their most recent fiscal earnings report – and reported by industry analyst MauroNL via Twitter – Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 has continued to perform well for the company.

According to the report, since its launch back in September, the 3rd-person co-op shooter has managed to pull in over ‘6 million unique players’ – an increase over the 5 million reported back in early December.

Of course, 6 million players does not equate to 6 million copies sold, but with the title currently only available via a direct purchase, the gap between the two is unlikely to be too significant.

Warhammer games have been somewhat hit-or-miss historically due to its owners Games Workshop’s willingness to licence out the IP to various developers and publishers.

As mentioned however, the response to Space Marine 2 has been highly positive – and so it is welcome to see the critical reception continue to be matched by its sales success.
