The Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) unveiled its new digital learning app on Wednesday, 12 November, at Middle Temple, the historic site of the first Twelfth Night performance in 1604.

Dame Helen Mirren has jokingly suggested that Shakespeare’s plays should be banned for teenagers, in order to make young people more eager to read them.

Speaking at the launch of the Royal Shakespeare Company’s new digital learning app on Wednesday (12 November), Sir Ian McKellen confessed that he still grapples with the complexities of Shakespeare’s language, even after more than 60 years on stage.
