The highly anticipated sequel to the award-winning metroidvania sees us play as Hornet as we journey to all-new lands, discover new powers, battle vast hordes of bugs and beasts, and uncover ancient secrets tied to your nature and your past.

Team Cherry finally revealed Hollow Knight: Silksong's September 4, 2025, release date at gamescom. We learned the news via a nearly two-minute trailer dropped by Team Cherry, which showed a ton of new footage from the game. Here's when the game will unlock for you in your timezone, as confirmed by Team Cherry earlier this week. And no, there's no way to unlock early access, I'm afraid.

'It Had Become About Box Office' — Dwayne Johnson Says He Was 'Pigeon-Holed' as a Blockbuster-Only Actor

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson says he was “pigeon-holed” as an actor who could only appear in blockbusters, which is one of the reasons he wanted to star as UFC fighter Mark Kerr in The Smashing Machine.

The Smashing Machine sees Johnson portray the life and career of Mark Kerr, a former wrestler and UFC star who struggled with substance abuse. Emily Blunt plays Kerr’s then-wife, Dawn Staples. Uncut Gems co-director Benny Safdie is the writer and director of the A24 film, which hits theaters October 3, 2025.

Johnson is almost unrecognizable as Kerr. He does not have his tattoos, but he does have hair. You can see how Johnson compares to Kerr below.

While promoting the movie at the Venice Film Festival, the former wrestling star said he wants to "live my dreams now" after "living other people's dreams."

Dwayne Johnson kicked off his hugely successful acting career as The Scorpion King in 2001’s The Mummy Returns. His long list of blockbuster film roles include Lucas "Luke" Hobbs in the Fast & Furious franchise, Dr. Xander "Smolder" Bravestone in the Jumaniji reboot movies, and Black Adam in the now defunct DC Extended Universe. Johnson also famously voiced Maui in the Moana animated movies, and is set to play the character in Disney's upcoming live-action version.

The Smashing Machine, however, marks a significant change for Johnson, who some are saying could be in-line for his first Oscar nomination as a result. As reported by the BBC, the 53-year-old said: "I've been scared to go deep and intense and raw until now, until I had this opportunity to do this."

He continued: "I have wanted this for a long time. When you're in Hollywood, as we all know, it had become about box office and you chase the box office. And the box office in our business is very loud, it can be very [overwhelming].

"It can push you into a corner and category — 'This is your lane, this is what you do, and this is what people want you to be and this is what Hollywood wants you to be.’

"And I understood that, and I made those movies and I liked them and they were fun, and some were really good and did well, and some not so good!

"But I think what I did realise is I just had this burning desire and this voice that was just saying, 'What if there's more, what if I can?'

"Sometimes it's hard to know what you're capable of when you've been pigeon-holed into something. It's harder to know, 'Wait, can I do that? I feel like I can.’ And sometimes it takes people who you love and respect to say 'you can.’"

Johnson added: "I have been very fortunate to have the career I've had over the years and make the films that I've made. But there was this voice inside of me that said, 'What if I could do more?'

"The truth is, I looked around a few years ago and started to think, 'Am I living my dream or am I living other people's dreams?'

"And you come to that recognition and you can either fall in line, go, 'It's status quo, things are good,’ or you can go, 'No, I wanna live my dreams now and do what I want to do, and tap into the things I want to tap into and have a place to put all this stuff that I've experienced in the past that I've shied away from.’"

Hollow Knight: Silksong Players on Nintendo Switch Can Unlock 'Enhanced' Switch 2 Features for Free

Players jumping into Hollow Knight: Silksong on Nintendo Switch will be able to upgrade to the "enhanced" Switch 2 version for free.

That comes from Team Cherry itself, which explained in an update on Kickstarter that while OG Nintendo Switch keys will be delivered directly to backers via email, Switch 2 players will need to download the Silksong Upgrade Pack from the eShop to unlock "enhanced features" (thanks, Eurogamer).

"For Nintendo Switch 2 players, after redeeming your Nintendo Switch key and downloading the game, you will additionally need to download the (free) Hollow Knight: Silksong Upgrade Pack from the eShop to unlock the platform's enhanced features," Team Cherry advised.

Though not explicitly confirmed, this suggests the upgrade pack will be available to all Silksong fans playing on Switch 2, regardless of backer status.

Backer surveys close later today, so if you backed the team on Kickstarter, you have just hours to get your survey completed to get your game key, so don't hang around!

"I didn't receive a survey, but I would honestly prefer to buy the game to support you guys anyway," commented one happy player. "It has been so long that I actually forgot I was a backer of the original! Congrats on finally getting here Team Cherry!"

Hollow Knight: Silksong will retail for just $19.99. Yes, really. While there were a lot of rumors over the last few days — including a $20 price on Gamestop (since removed) that was later corroborated by noted leaker Billbil-kun — developer Team Cherry has now confirmed it, revealing the game will retail for $19.99 in the U.S., €19.99 in Europe, and ¥2300 in Japan.

Team Cherry finally revealed a release date for the long-awaited Hollow Knight: Silksong at gamescom: September 4, 2025. Expect loads of new insectoid NPCs, dreary graveyards, swamps, a bustling city, new enemies, new bosses, an Ori-style escape sequence, and more. It'll be available on PC, Switch, Switch 2, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X and S. Check out the Hollow Knight: Silksong global release times to find out when the game will be available in your timezone.

We tried out two levels from the Hollow Knight Silksong demo at gamescom 2025, Moss Grotto and Deep Docks. One was easy, and one was very challenging, but does it live up to the hype? Find out in our Hollow Knight: Silksong preview from the show floor.

NBA 2K26 Global Release Times Confirmed

NBA 2K26 is almost here. Bragging rights are on the line in MyCAREER, MyTEAM, MyNBA, The W, and Play Now as you showcase your moves with "hyper realism," challenging your friends, or rivals in NBA 2K26’s competitive modes.

We think NBA 2K26 is shaping up well, writing in IGN's NBA 2K26 review-in-progress: "Despite my problems with its offline-only modes, the fundamental gameplay tweaks show plenty of promise in what I’ve played on my first day with it. I’m especially excited to see how it looks in MyCareer with its new-and-improved storyline, as well as in the potentially wonky online gameplay of MyTeam."

Capcom Says High Price of PS5 Gaming Is Affecting Monster Hunter Wilds Sales

The high price of PlayStation 5 gaming is affecting Monster Hunter Wilds sales, Capcom has said.

Monster Hunter Wilds got off to an incredible sales start when it launched in February. After releasing to a Capcom record-setting 10.1 million copies sold, 8 million of which were in just three days, Wilds shot up to become the best-selling game in the U.S. year-to-date according to Circana.

However, for the quarter ending June 30, Monster Hunter Wilds sold 477,000 copies, only just above the 389,000 copies sold of four-year-old game Monster Hunter Rise. Wilds was the 9th best-selling game of the quarter for Capcom, while Rise was the 10th.

In Capcom's consolidated financial results, the company said: "Regarding catalog titles, although sales were soft for Monster Hunter Wilds, the latest title in the series released in February this year, Monster Hunter Rise, a previous title in the same series, continued to see sales growth."

As reported by Automaton, Capcom president Haruhiro Tsujimoto told Nikkei Gaming that the cost of entry to play Monster Hunter Wilds on a PS5 is “rather steep.” Indeed, Capcom thought the PS5 was going to be the primary sales platform for Monster Hunter Wilds at launch.

Here’s Automaton:

In an interview with Nikkei Gaming, Tsujimoto revealed that Capcom considered the PlayStation 5 as Monster Hunter Wilds’ main platform when estimating the game’s initial sales figures. But accounting for the console, accessories, and monthly subscriptions like PlayStation Plus, the total cost for a PS5 amounts to about 100,000 JPY (roughly $677 USD). Add in Monster Hunter Wilds’ $70 USD price tag, and some people would rather pay for older, more complete entries, such as Monster Hunter World (which sells for as low as $9.89 USD) and Monster Hunter Rise ($9.99 USD), than buy a new console for a game with, currently, less content. Considering many gamers are young and don’t have a source of income, Tsujimoto admits the cost of entry to play Monster Hunter Wilds on a PS5 is rather steep.

The cost of PS5 gaming was made worse last month when Sony announced $50 price rises for the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Digital Edition, and PlayStation 5 Pro. The base PS5 with a disc drive went up by $50 to $549.99, while the PS5 Digital Edition cost $50 more, at $499.99. The PS5 Pro, meanwhile, rose $50 to $749.99. The price hike went into effect in the U.S. on August 21.

"Similar to many global businesses, we continue to navigate a challenging economic environment," Isabelle Tomatis, Sony Interactive Entertainment's Vice President, Global Marketing said in a statement. "As a result, we’ve made the difficult decision to increase the recommended retail price for PlayStation 5 consoles in the U.S. starting on August 21."

There was no mention of Xbox console pricing in Tsujimoto’s comment.

So what’s the answer? Discounts, it seems, as well as more content via patches. Perhaps a launch on the record-breaking Nintendo Switch 2 will help, too.

Of course, actual players of Monster Hunter Wilds might have their own theories as to why the game hasn’t shown the same level of sales consistency as prior Monster Hunter games. After reviewing well initially, Wilds’ endgame content was considered sorely lacking compared to past games. It's also suffering from severe performance issues on PC specifically that have yet to be fully resolved. Despite new content and seasons, fans remain unsatisfied with the state of the game, to the point where some players are taking things too far and apparently harassing and threatening individual Capcom team members over it.

On Steam, Monster Hunter Wilds has a ‘mixed’ user review rating for all reviews, but a ‘mostly negative’ user review rating for recent reviews.

Helldivers 2 Patch 01.004.000 Makes Into the Unjust Update Live, Adds New Terminid Enemies and Lots More

Arrowhead has released patch 01.004.000 for Helldivers 2, making the Into the Unjust update live and adding a number of new Terminids to fight in-game.

Here’s the official blurb:

For too long, we’ve waited and watched as The Gloom expands to swallow more innocent star systems. For too long, we’ve let the Terminids wreak havoc on our colonies, our cities, our homes. The Terminids have pushed into our territory for long enough.
Now, with new recruits trained and ready, it’s time to push into unknown territory. Into the Unjust.

The headline addition here is Hive Worlds, which are randomly-generated giant cave systems packed with horrible Terminids. These Hive Worlds offer a new tactical challenge, Arrowhead said, complete with “disgusting” flora and fauna and “advanced” Terminid life.

Holes in the cave roof will allow stratagems to be called down, and destructible walls within the caves let players navigate. “Bring a flashlight!” Arrowhead recommended. New enemies include the wonderfully named Rupture Spewer, the Rupture Warrior, the Rupture Charger, and the Dragonroach.

Elsewhere, there’s a balance pass and fixes for crashes. Into the Unjust follows the release of Helldivers 2 on Xbox Series X and S and the wholesome community action that came along with it. It’s a bumper time for Helldivers 2, with a boosted player count, positive player sentiment, and now cool new ways to play. Patch notes are below.

Helldivers 2 update 01.004.000 patch notes:

Gameplay

Hive Worlds

  • Randomly-generated giant cave systems
  • A new tactical challenge
  • Discover disgusting flora and fauna and advanced Terminid life
  • Hive World surface - acid lakes and advanced bug spires
  • Holes in the cave roof will allow stratagems to be called down
  • Destructible walls within the caves to navigate
  • Bring a flashlight!

Missions

  • Delve deep into the caves to destroy the Spore Lung and stop its infectious Gloom spread
  • Take control of the GATER mobile oil rig and siphon the mysterious oily substance from the surface of Hive Worlds
  • Undertake more missions to extract resources and destroy the enemy threat on Hive Worlds
  • Have Super Earth approved levels of fun!

New Enemies

  • Rupture Spewer; The foul Rupture Spewer bursts from the ground only to spew its undemocratic pestilence on the innocent. Upon returning to its dark warrens, it is believed to consume its own dead in order to generate more of its corrosive acid.
  • Rupture Warrior; A product of Gloom-induced mutation, the Rupture Warrior has lost the UV-insulating chitin layer that would protect its internal organs from solar radiation damage. Captured specimens prefer burrowing to open-air movement, a pattern indicative of subconscious shame at their own undemocratic ways.
  • Rupture Charger; When this armored beast senses the presence of Liberty, it buries itself underground to escape its light. Its Charger instincts compel it to tunnel through the ground at high speeds, emerging only to attack those who represent the Liberty that blinds it so.
  • Dragonroach; This oversized affront to Free skies everywhere circles its would-be prey, swooping down intermittently to bespew them with air-combustible acid. A spineless tactic befitting an exoskeletal monstrosity.

Balancing

Unified “none explosive Orbitals” so they have the same projectile damage and destruction values as the Orbital gas. This effects:

Orbital smoke

  • Increased Projectile Damage 0 → 300
  • Increased Projectile AP 0 → 7
  • Increased Projectile Demolition strength 30 → 50

Orbital E.M.S

  • Increased Projectile Damage 250 → 300
  • Increased Projectile AP 3 → 7
  • Increased Projectile Demolition strength 30 → 50

Unified Stun explosions work. They all apply the stun effect on the explosion and not only on the status effect volume. This effects:

  • Orbital E.M.S
  • Mortar E.M.S

Changed how all stun explosions work in that they now initially stagger the enemy they stun but also without ragdolling the player if hit by such an explosion

Throwables

Stun grenade

  • Increased stagger strength 0 -> 50

Urchin

  • Decreased stagger impulse 15 -> 0

Stratagems

Orbital E.M.S

  • Increased stagger strength 10 -> 50
  • Decreased stagger impulse 40 → 0

Mortar E.M.S

  • Increased stagger strength 10 -> 50
  • Decreased stagger impulse 40 → 0

Booster

Stun Hellpod

  • Increased stagger strength 10 -> 50
  • Decreased stagger impulse 20 → 0

  • Fixed a rare crash caused by multiple players having the MA5C AR equipped on the super destroyer
  • Fixed crash that could occur during hot-joining
  • Fixed a rare crash that could occur when dropping backpacks

Weapons & Stratagem Fixes

  • Fixes for mute AX/LAS-5 'GUARD DOG' ROVER audio
  • Audio fixes for multiple weapons not having reverb applied to them

Missions

  • Updated the design of city evacuation objectives that will allow brave citizens to evacuate correctly
  • Fixed a missions issue that caused ghost objectives to appear during the mission complete screen
  • Fixed issue where the landed Automaton dropships in the Sabotage Airbase objective could be destroyed with LIFT-182 Warp Pack
  • Fixed occasional Charger pathing issues around certain bug rocks

Miscellaneous Fixes

  • Fix flickering VFX shadows in some areas.
  • Fixed strange movement after falling while marching
  • Fixed chat typing animations - Helldivers no longer suffer from fat fingers and will use their writing pads when typing chat messages.
  • Fixed the Adreno-Defibrillator status effect not affecting Helldivers inside combat walkers
  • Fixed an issue where the planetary hazard damaged Hellbombs will visually appear to explode twice when shot by GL-21 Grenade Launcher, from the shooter's POV

Dances With Wolves, Die Hard With a Vengeance Star Graham Greene Dies Aged 73

Oscar-nominated Canadian actor Graham Greene has died aged 73.

Greene secured an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor for his role as Lakota medicine man Kicking Bird in Kevin Costner's 1990 epic western, Dances With Wolves.

But he starred in scores of films and TV shows in a career spanning 45 years, including 1992’s Thunderheart, 1994’s Maverick opposite Mel Gibson, and 1995’s Die Hard with a Vengeance, where he played Detective Joe Lambert opposite Bruce Willis and Samuel L. Jackson.

Other notable roles include Arlen Bitterbuck, a Native American man on death row in prison, in 1999’s The Green Mile, and Harry Clearwater in 2009’s The Twilight Saga: New Moon. More recently, Greene played Old Smoke in the second season of Sylvester Stallone’s Paramount+ show Tulsa King, and Skully in Marvel Cinematic Universe miniseries Echo.

Greene has a notable video game credit: Rains Fall in Rockstar’s 2018 western masterpiece Red Dead Redemption 2. Greene provided voice and motion capture for the character. In a 2018 interview with Vulture, Rockstar co-founder Dan Houser called Greene's work in the seemingly small role "brilliant," saying that his Native American chief character was "losing his rights as an independent king, and he’s a gentle soul in that violent world."

One of his final roles was on FX’s American comedy-drama television series Reservation Dogs, which follows the exploits of four Indigenous teenagers in rural Oklahoma. Greene will posthumously star in upcoming movie, Ice Fall starring Joel Kinnaman.

"It is with deep sadness we announce the peaceful passing of award-winning legendary Canadian actor Graham Greene," his manager Gerry Jordan said in a statement to CBC News, which reported he died of natural causes on Monday in Stratford, Ontario. Greene was also a member of the Order of Canada.

“He was a great man of morals, ethics and character and will be eternally missed,” Greene’s agent Michael Greene told THR. “You are finally free. Susan Smith [the actor’s longtime agent, who died in 2013] is meeting you at the gates of heaven." Greene is survived by his wife, Hilary Blackmore, and his daughter Lilly Lazare-Greene.

AU Deals: Price-Cut Party With Nintendo Classics and Next-Gen Heavyweights

Some sales make me wince with buyer's remorse, others make me wonder if the publishers are playing a long game of price limbo. Right now though, I'm looking at a set of discounts that feel almost too good to pass up. If you love keeping your library stacked with proven hits and cult favourites, this deceptively idle Tuesday is actually an absolute treat.

This Day in Gaming 🎂

In retro news, I’m using a Space Pirate plasma blast to light 15 candles on a cake baked for Metroid: Other M, that polarising third-person action entry that tried to morph[ball] together side-scrolling heritage with Team Ninja’s cinematic flair. Back in 2010, the promise of a more story-driven Samus adventure got me amped. On paper, that sounded like a dream; in practice, Other M split the room.

The combat system was fluid and punchy, blending first-person aiming with fast-paced melee, but the heavy-handed script and rigid command structure rubbed a lot of longtime fans the wrong way. It might not have stuck the landing, but it remains a conversation piece in Metroid history.

Nice Savings for Nintendo Switch

On Switch, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate remains my go-to party starter. The fact that it houses characters like Solid Snake and Banjo-Kazooie is a licensing miracle, and the multi never gets old (with the right people). Sonic Frontiers, meanwhile, had me sceptical until I learned Yuji Naka originally envisioned Sonic in more open spaces back in the 90s. Seeing that dream finally realised, even imperfectly, is worth celebrating.

Exciting Bargains for Xbox

Over on Series X, Gotham Knights is far from flawless but it shines in co-op. What surprised me most is how much of its narrative DNA was lifted directly from Scott Snyder's Court of Owls comics run. Immortals Fenyx Rising also deserves a look, especially if you love Greek mythology. Ubisoft snuck in a few lesser-known myths alongside the usual Zeus gags, and I got hooked chasing down those references.

Pure Scores for PlayStation

PS5 has Dead Space, which remains one of the finest remakes I've ever played. The decision to give Isaac a voice, years after the silent original, adds so much weight to his breakdowns. Tekken 8 also earns its place here today, and I highly recommend its brand of fisticuffs for stress relief.

  • 40K Space Marine 2 (-50%) A$53.90 Ultraviolent hack-and-slash action with Warhammer flavour. Big guns, bigger aliens.
  • Dead Space (-80%) A$21.90 A terrifyingly good remake. Claustrophobic corridors, grotesque necromorphs, and polished visuals.

Purchase Cheap for PC

On PC, Baldur's Gate 3 is as essential as it gets. Larian's attention to detail is absurd, right down to the fact you can romance a vampire who offers to bite you mid-camp. The New Sony WH-1000XM6 Noise Canceling Headphones Drops to the Lowest Price Ever

Sony's newest flagship wireless noise cancelling headphones - the Sony WH-1000XM6 - has dropped to the lowest price of the year. As part of its Labor Day Sale, Adorama is offering it for only $379 after you apply coupon code "AUGU2925" during checkout (when you put in your payment info). That's 15% off the normal $449 list price. The WH-1000XM6 builds upon our previous favorite headphone with better sound, noise cancelation, and ergonomics.

Sony WH-1000XM6 Headphones for $379 (was $449)

The Sony WH-1000XM6 headphones replaces the WH-1000XM5 that were released way back in 2022. The three year span makes for more significant improvements than you might think. Both sound quality and noise cancelation have been noticeably improved thanks to a new and more powerful QN3 audio processor and a total of 12 microphones (including 6 beam-forming mics) that do a great job of cancelling out unwanted noise. The XM6 is also easier to stow away than the XM5 because the earcups can be folded inwards and fit in a smaller carrying case. The headphone can last up to 30 hours and it also supports fast charging; a quick 3 minute top-up over USB Type-C will give you up to 3 hours of continuous playback. You can save some money by going with an older generation XM5 or even the XM4, but as long as it is within your budget, the XM6's improvements in sound quality, noise cancelation, and ergonomics makes the new model worth it.

Spider-Man Star Tom Holland Looks Unrecognizable in New LEGO Short Film — He Takes a Break From Filming Brand New Day to Tell IGN Why

It's a rainy afternoon in the UK, and Tom Holland is taking a break from filming Spider-Man: Brand New Day. As we sit down to talk, the weather is so bad that filming has briefly been halted — but Holland has always had this date in the diary to discuss a rather different project entirely.

As of today, Holland stars in a new LEGO short film that promotes the importance of play, commissioned by the company as research shows children feel increasingly pressured to grow up fast. Never Stop Playing is a two-minute blast of live-action and LEGO animation designed by the LEGO Group but which also feels very Tom Holland, as it tasks the actor with embodying a varied and rapid-fire cast of characters — some of whom require more makeup than even his iconic Umbrella performance.

Holland first appears as a space marine, quickly realising he should never simply follow orders and abandon the fun of play. It's a theme which continues throughout a whirlwind of other scenes, as Holland appears as a professional soccer player, an inventor, a senior citizen, a toddler, a LEGO minifigure, a goateed artist and then a grumpy executive.

In turn, the power of LEGO convinces each Tom Holland-played character to continue being playful — a message that Holland himself extolls when we discuss the film's message after, as he explains why he's taking a breather from playing Spider-Man to promote LEGO's message instead.

"I think it really does help," Holland tells IGN, when asked what the importance of play meant to him. "I have ADHD and I'm dyslexic, and I find sometimes when someone gives me a blank canvas that it can be slightly intimidating. And sometimes you are met with those challenges when developing a character.

"So any way that you can, as a young person or as an adult, interact with something that forces you to be creative and forces you to think outside the box and make changes that might be in an instruction manual or might not be in an instruction manual just promotes healthy creativity. And I think that the more we do that sort of stuff, the better."

Holland says that, these days, his playtime also incorporates sports like golf and paddle tennis, and he plays online chess with his brother Harry, which helps them stay connected. But he has also had a long history of play with LEGO, he continues, from his childhood right up until his current Spider-Man era.

"We had so many different sets as kids, we were very lucky. I remember very vividly, our parents used to have these competitions for us where we would have to tidy up our rooms, and whoever tidied up the room the best would not have to wash the dishes that night or something. I had this LEGO set of dinosaurs and I would always stage them as part of my tidying process to kind of give my room that little bit of a creative edge over my brothers. And I look back on it really fondly."

Tom's siblings Harry and Sam make a cameo in the new LEGO film, as reporters asking whether their brother will continue playing as a soccer star. The ability to appear alongside them was another reason why he signed up for the gig, Holland says.

"They presented an opportunity of something that I could do with my brothers," he says of the LEGO Group's pitch, "which was really fun and not something that happens every day. Prada weren't as keen to have Harry and Sam as Lego were," he laughs, "but I'm a big fan of the LEGO Group. We grew up playing [with LEGO together]."

"We liked the LEGO Indiana Jones video game," says Tom's brother Harry, who has joined our conversation alongside Sam, "and LEGO Star Wars because it was one of the first games we had that you could play at the same time [in co-op]. A lot of our childhood was spent with massive arguments about whose turn it was to play the Xbox. So when we got [those] it was like, 'oh wow, we can play this at the same time.' And we're very competitive as brothers. So rivalries were born on the LEGO battlefield, shall we say."

Tom's brother Sam, meanwhile, highlights the importance of physical LEGO sets, as a distraction from the increasingly digital world. "In a world where we're surrounded by screens, it gets people off screens, it gets people talking to one another," he says. "Growing up, I remember building all sorts of things."

"It also teaches you about tidying up," Tom then interjects. "Because if you don't tidy up Lego, it can be dangerous for your parents' bare feet."

Rewind eight years, and Tom Holland's love of LEGO is clear to see in another IGN interview where the actor masterfully re-enacts Spider-Man: Homecoming's bank heist scene using a LEGO set. While Holland admitted he doesn't still play with minifigures of himself ("No, I can't say that I do"), the actor says his fondest LEGO memory is of building a LEGO Star Wars Death Star with his Homecoming co-star Jacob Batalon, who plays Peter Parker's classmate Ned.

"I think my favorite memory of LEGO would be Spider-Man: Homecoming," Holland recalls. "Jacob and I were becoming fast friends and our lives were being flipped upside down. And there's that fantastic scene where Ned drops the LEGO Death Star and we were tasked by the studio to build one ourselves."

Here, Holland is referring to the moment Ned finds out Peter is Spider-Man, and drops the 3,803-brick LEGO Death Star set in shock, sending it smashing into pieces.

"I just remember having really fond memories of sitting down with Jacob in my house, getting to know each other at the very beginning of this crazy journey," Holland continues. "And it was rooted in making this LEGO Death Star, and we finished it. Our friend's mom ended up helping us at one point, and I don't think it is the one in the movie because they needed it to break in a certain way — so they built it without some of its infrastructure so that it would shatter better. But I remember that being a very, very poignant and fantastic time in that process."

Destination D23 2025: The Biggest Reveals From the Disney, Disney Parks, Pixar, Star Wars, and Marvel Event

Destination D23 took place this past weekend at Walt Disney World and, alongside being a fan celebration of all things Disney, Disney Parks, Pixar, Star Wars, and Marvel, it also gave a sneek peek at the future.

IGN was in attendance at Destination D23 and we've gathered all the biggest moments from the show in one place to ensure you don't miss a thing, from the Walt Disney Studios Showcase to Walt Disney being added to Disney World's Carousel of Progress to a detailed look at the inspirations behind Magic Kingdom's Villains-themed land and much more.

Walt Disney Studios Showcase Was Filled With Toy Story 5, Zootopia 2, The Mandalorian and Grogu, Hexed, and Much More

The Walt Disney Studios Showcase kicked off a weekend of panels at Destination D23, and it was filled with exciting surprises, including Toy Story 5's intro with an army of High-Tech Buzz Lightyears, the reveal of Walt Disney Animation Studios' Hexed, a clip of The Mandalorian and Grogu where Din Djarin evoked Darth Vader's iconic scene from Rogue One, and more

Speaking of Toy Story, the clip involved a group of Hi-Tech Edition Buzz Lightyears getting stranded on an island and learning to work together and escape after they see a star that reminds them of Star Command. It was also revealed that Conan O'Brien will be playing a new potty training toy named Smarty Pants. Additionally, Toy Story will be returning to theaters on September 12 and Buzz will once again fly in Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Hexed is headed to theaters in November 2026 and "follows an awkward teenage boy and his Type - A mom, who discover that what makes him unusual, might just be magical powers that will turn their lives and a secret world of magic, upside down."

The Mandalorian and Grogu's clip featured a scene that, like we mentioned, gave us the same feeling as the one of Darth Vader in Rogue One. We also got a ton of adorable Grogu moments and a scene involving an exploding AT-AT on a snowy planet that shows why this story needs to be told on the big screen.

We learned much more about Pixar's Hoppers, which follows a girl named Mabel who jumps into the mind of a beaver and has to work with other beavers and animals to stop Mayor Jerry from building a highway that will destroy all the nature and wilderness in his path.

Other highlights included an extended look at Zootopia 2 and Patrick Warburton's hilarious Mayor Winddancer, a funny message from the set of Avengers: Doomsday, an exciting clip from Tron: Ares, the name of Ice Age: Boiling Plate for the next film in the franchise, a clip of Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Last Straw, and more.

Tron Lightcycle / Run Overlay Will Celebrate Tron: Ares With a Red Overlay and Nine Inch Nails, Tron to be Remastered for the First Time

To celebrate Tron: Ares, Disney Parks' Tron attractions will be getting a red overlay and original music from Nine Inch Nails. This experience will be added to Disney World's Tron Lightcycle / Run on September 15 and Shanghai Disney Resort's Tron Lightcycle Power Run on September 16.

Tron and Tron: Legacy will also be fully remastered in 4K Ultra HD and will be available on digital and Blu-ray SteelBook on September 16.

Dates Revealed for D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event in 2026

D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event will officially return to Anaheim, California, from August 14 through 16 in 2026, and it will once again be a celebration and look forward of all things Disney, Pixar, Star Wars, Marvel, and more.

The news was announced alongside a ton of other big D23 events fans can look forward to in the future and that the main D23 event will once again be held at both the Anaheim Convention Center and the Honda Center.

Disneyland Handcrafted Will Give a Never-Before-Seen Look at the Construction of Disneyland

We Call It Imagineering's Leslie Iwerks stopped by Destination D23 to drop a new trailer for Disneyland Handcrafted, which documents the construction of Disneyland in a way never seen before. The film will debut on Disney+ and Disney's YouTube later this winter, but fans can check out a look at the trailer right now.

Walt Disney Is Being Added to Carousel of Progress

Following Walt Disney – A Magical Life at Disneyland, Walt Disney is getting another Audio-Animatronics figure at Disney World’s Carousel of Progress at Magic Kingdom.

Walt will now introduce Carousel of Progress in a new scene, and guests will then witness four scenes to see what John, Sarah, Rover, and the rest of the family have been up to over the decades while witnessing the evolution of life in the United States.

Themed Drinks Headed to Disney Destiny Will Have You Feeling Like a Sorcerer Supreme, Pirate, and a Ghost

We got a sneak peek of the new drinks headed to the Disney Destiny, the Disney Cruise Line ship we visited earlier this year in Papenburg, Germany, to learn how it was built, and they look pretty spectacular.

The Mirror Dimension will be an option at the Doctor Strange-themed Sanctum lounge, and it comes in a special glass that reacts to touch and comes with an "electrifying dust that will leave your taste buds tingling." We also saw a drink being served on a levitating platform, and it was pretty impressive!

Following the opening of Disney World's Beak and Barrel, Disney Destiny will also be getting a Pirates of the Caribbean-themed bar, but its will be called Cask & Cannon. In the bar, guests can look forward to the Dead Man's Chest, which comes in a smoky treasure chest and looks to "capture the true spirit of a pirate's life on the high seas."

Fans of the Haunted Mansion Parlor aboard the Disney Treasure will also be happy to learn it is returning on the Disney Destiny, but many of the drinks will feature all-new ingredients.

Walt Disney World's Villains-Themed Land to Utilize 'Conjured Architecture,' Inspirations Revealed

We got a wicked tease of the upcoming Villains-themed land at Walt Disney World, including that the team created the term "Conjured Architecture" to describe how they are utilizing "the magical, fluid, and organic appearance of both the animated villains and the Art Nouveau style of construction" to build this new space.

This was all made possible by a research trip to Paris and Barcelona to study Art Nouveau. From Paris, they took with them "the way natural motifs and swirling designs there make nature appear to be 'cursed' like magic has frozen it into place."

For Barcelona, its style was actually called Modernisme, and it has "less natural patterns but gives architecture an otherworldly, unnerving appearance." May even added that the buildings seem as though they are "melting with subliminal shapes and faces."

Disneyland Paris' World of Frozen to Open in Spring 2026 Alongside Walt Disney Studios Park Becoming Disney Adventure World

Disneyland Paris' World of Frozen will officially open in Spring 2026 alongside the official transformation of Walt Disney Studios Park into Disney Adventure World. We also learned of the milestone of the construction of Elsa's Ice Palace, and you can check it out in the image above!

These colors were originally chosen to "reflect the Florida sunshine in a way that makes the castle shimmer from every angle."

Cinderella Castle Getting New Colors That Harken Back to Its Original Look

Fans were delighted to learn that Disney World's Cinderella Castle is getting a look that is inspired by the "classic and original look of the castle."

This new paint scheme, which is still being finalized, will feature "grays, creams, blues, and touches of gold aiming to enhance the castle's architecture."

Bose Smart Ultra Soundbar for $479.20 (was $999)

Certified Refurbished

The Bose Smart Ultra Soundbar is the highest end sound bar speaker in Bose's product lineup. The soundbar measures 41" long and houses a 5.1.2ch array consisting of nine total speakers. Two of these are upward firing dipole speakers for spatial audio and Dolby Atmos supported content. Popular amongst home theater setups nowadays is "A.I. Dialogue Mode". This feature automatically balances voice and surround sound so that you don't need to turn up the volume to deafening levels in order to hear what everyone is saying.

Alienware Area-51 Gaming Laptops Are on Sale for Labor Day, Including an RTX 5090 for $3299

Alienware's top-end Area-51 lineup of 16" and 18" gaming laptops are on sale during the Dell Labor Day Sale. Save up to $800 off preconfigured configurations that are equipped with the new Nvidia GeForce RTX 50 series mobile graphics cards, including the RTX 5070 Ti, RTX 5080, and RTX 5090. The Area-51 laptops is one of the best looking gaming laptops around, with outstanding build quality, aggressive cooling, powerful components, and up-to-date protocols like WiFi 7 and Thunderbolt 4. If you're looking for the best gaming laptop on the market, the Area-51 should be on your shortlist.

Alienware Area-51 Laptops on Sale During Labor Day

The Area-51: new color, curvy design, metal construction, and upgraded cooling

New for 2025, the Alienware Area-51 gaming laptop features an anodized aluminum shell for both the lid and bottom chassis with a gorgeous iridescent finish. The frame is made of a durable and lightweight magnesium alloy. Cooling has been upgraded with generous amounts of copper and a new thermal interface material to better transfer heat away from your hottest components as well as more fans and bigger cutouts for greater airflow. Dell claims that the laptop can handle a higher power ceiling of up to 240W TDP without raising acoustics.

Design-wise, the Area 51 has a sleeker, more contoured shape compared to previous models, with rounded edges and soft corners replacing the traditional squared off design. The hinges are internally positioned so that they're near invisible. There's a transparent window on the undercarriage to show off the internal components. As befits an Alienware laptop, there's plenty of RGB illunimation, although most of it can be turned off if you want your laptop to be a bit more subtle.

I would recommend adding on the mechanical keyboard upgrade if the price is right

The mechanical keyboard on the Alienware Area-51 laptop is excellent, but it isn't included as standard. The cost to add the upgrade varies depending on the model. If you see the option availabe for $50-$100, it's a worthwhile investment.

The Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX is a top performing CPU

Every model in this list is equipped with an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX processor, which boasts a max turbo frequency of 5.4GHz with a whopping 24 cores and 40MB total L2 cache. According to Passmark, this is the best mobile gaming CPU available right now, handily beating out AMD's Ryzen AI Max Pro 390.

The RTX 5090 mobile is the best GPU for gamers and creators

The RTX 5090 is the most powerful mobile gaming CPU available and performs about 15% better than the RTX 5080. Currently you can get an Alienware Area-51 RTX 5090 gaming laptop for as low as $3,299.99. It's about $400 more expensive than the RTX 5080 model, which is a fair price premium for a more powerful graphics card that also has a lot more VRAM (24GB vs 16GB). The extra memory is useful for 4K gaming as well as generative AI.

The RTX 5070 Ti and RTX 5080 mobile offer the best performance for your dollar

As expensive as these laptops are, you don't want to spend even more on trivial upgrades. The RTX 5070 Ti mobile GPU boasts performance on par with the RTX 4080 but with the added benefit of faster GDDR7 RAM and DLSS 4.0. The RTX 5080 is about 15%-20% more powerful than the RTX 5070 Ti. It also happens to be about 5% more powerful than the RTX 4090 and has the same amount of VRAM (16GB). Although both GPUs will run the latest games at high framerates, the Area-51 RTX 5080 laptop costs just $100 more than an RTX 5070 Ti laptop. The upgrade might still be worth it, especially if you want to connect an external 4K monitor or you want to run ultra-fast framerates (144fps or higher).

Alternatively, you can get a 77" LG Evo C5 for $1,837.59 after applying the same discount code. These are the lowest prices I've seen in 2025 so far and priced at least $200 less than other retailers' Labor Day deals.

The seller Buydig is reputable and has over half a million postive reviews. It is also an authorized LG reseller so you're getting the manufacturer warranty. The LG Evo OLED TV has been our favorite TV for gaming, especially for the PlayStation 5 for three years running.

Sony WH-1000XM5 Noise Cancelling Headphones

eBay also dropped the price on the popular Sony WH-1000XM5 wireless noise canceling headphones, bringing it down to $238.40 after the same promo code "HAPPY30TH" is applied at checkout. Bose Soundbars and Headphones

The official Bose Outlet eBay store has discounted its entire inventory of certified refurbished headphones, earbuds, soundbars, and portable speakers for Labor Day. Even better, every product is eligible for an additional 20% off with the same anniversary coupon code ("HAPPY30TH"). It normally retails for $1,000, but you can get it on sale for just $479.20 after coupon. (Free delivery is included.) That's over 50% off and it even comes with a 2-year All-State warranty.

Dyson Vacuums, Fans, and Haircare

Dyson is one of the most well known household brands around, and its name is synonymous with quality, but usually that quality comes at a premium price. Fortunately, Dyson has its very own Dyson eBay store with huge markdowns on its certified refurbished products. Dyson offers a 6-month warranty on refurbished vacuum cleaners and fans, and a 12-month warranty on its refurbished beauty products alongside the 2-year All-State warranty.

Roborock Robot Vacuums

Roborock is one of the largest robot vacuum brands in the world. Its products offer more features than Roomba at a more attractive price point. That doesn't mean they are lower quality, either. I've owned both Roborock and Roomba models and my current Roborock has lasted longer, performed better, and costs less to maintain than any of the Roombas I've owned. The Roborock eBay Store carries certified refurbished units of their entire lineup of robot vacuums and mops, and carry a 6-month manufacter's warranty alongside the 2-year All-State warranty.

Ecoflow Power Stations

Ecoflow is one of the largest and most well-known manufacturers of portable power stations. Its products are solidly built with a lot of practical features at an affordable price. Product support after purchase is generally pretty good, and firmware and software updates are consistently rolled out. Ecoflow sells certified refurbished power stations through its official Ecoflow eBay store. It offers the same warranty on refurbs as brand new products, which is anywhere from 24 months to 60 months depending on the model you choose.

The Powerful Alienware Area-51 RTX 5090 Gaming PC Drops to the Lowest Price Ever for Labor Day

If you're seeking the absolute best of the best in PC gaming performance, look no further. During the Labor Day Sale, Alienware has just dropped the price of its flagship Alienware Area-51 prebuilt gaming PC equipped with the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 graphics card starting at $4,399.99 with free shipping. This is the lowest price I've seen for an Alienware 5090 gaming PC and is reasonably competitive compared to similarly equipped systems from other boutique PC builders. The GeForce RTX 5090 graphics card is currently the most powerful GPU on the market, and by a wide margin.

Alienware Area-51 RTX 5090 Gaming PC From $4,399.99

This least expensive Alienware Area-51 RTX 5090 gaming PC configuration is equipped with an Intel Core Ultra 7 265K processor with 360mm liquid cooling, 32GB of DDR5-6400MHz RAM, and 2TB SSD storage. For an extra $250, you can upgrade to the Core Ultra 9 285K processor. The Core Ultra 7 is already an excellent gaming CPU and you won't see any uplift in performance going with the Core Ultra 9. However, if you're a professional in need of the extra cores that the Core Ultra 9 offers (for example with AI generation), then the upgrade is worth it.

The RTX 5090 Is the Most Powerful Graphics Card Ever

The Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 has emerged as the most powerful consumer GPU on the market. Although Nvidia has prioritized software updates, AI features, and DLSS 4 technology to improve gameplay performance, the 5090 still boasts an impressive 25%-30% uplift over the RTX 4090 in terms of pure hardware-based raster performance. The 5090 also has more (32GB vs. 24GB) and faster (GDDR7 vs. GDDR6) VRAM compared to the 4090. Although Nvidia GPU prices have been trending downwards, it's still difficult to find a 5090 card for below $2,500.

Check out more Alienware deals during the Labor Day Sale

Check out the best deals going on during the Alienware Intel Gamer Days Event, which will eventually transition into the Labor Day Sale this weekend. Not everyone is the DIY type. If you're in the market for a prebuilt gaming PC, Dell is one of the best brands we'd recommend. Alienware desktops and laptops feature solid build quality, top-of-the-line gaming performance, excellent cooling (further improved on the newer models), aggressive styling, and pricing that is very competitive with other pre-built options. Best of all, there are plenty of sales that happen throughout the year, so it's not difficult to grab one of these computers at considerably less than their retail price.

The Biggest Magic: The Gathering Crashers and Climbers This Week - September 1

Magic: The Gathering launched Edge of Eternities last month, and here we are in September bracing for the release of Spider-Man.

Still, in the run-up to then, we’re still seeing some spaceship synergies (the set after Spidey) causing some market fluctuations, while now is a great time to pick up some Edge of Eternities cards.

Here are the big shifters for the start of September, as we prepare to swing into action.

MTG Climbers This Week

There’s an awful lot of love for Landfall this week, and much of that’s tied to the Edge of Eternities World Shaper precon.

I picked one up in recent weeks and have been very pleased with it, but now I might have to add a big ol’ bear, too. Lumra, Bellow of the Woods has seen a huge jump, rising from under $10 to almost $30 in the space of a few weeks.

This not-so-cuddly bear mills four cards when entering, then puts lands from the graveyard onto the battlefield. Not only does that power Lumra up, but it could allow Tannuk, Memorial Ensign to dish out a whole host of punishment.

It also gives the World Shaper’s Hearthull spacecraft plenty of lands to sacrifice for card draw and damage pings.

Sticking with World Shaper, Valakut Exploration could be explosive, too. You can use it to exile cards to use for a big hit of damage.

It’s up to around $5, having cost barely anything just a few weeks ago.

Next up, I've recently spotted a surprising team-up between Sonic the Hedgehog and the Tyranid Winged Hive Tyrant. The latter is up to $4 thanks to synergy with the Blue Blur, with the card giving other creatures with counters flying and haste.

That becomes a nice cycle of triggering an attack with Sonic, adding counters to other creatures, and then having them get flying and haste. Then, you can turn that into Treasure tokens, too.

If you want to try this combo, have fun - Sonic is just $3 right now, while Winged Hive Tyrant is on the climb but still under $5. There's a bunch of brillaint Sonic cards up for grabs right now as well, if you're not keen on picking up the full Secret Lair set.

MTG Crashers This Week

We’ve already mentioned him, but Tannuk, Memorial Ensign is a great card for aggressive landfall decks, and he’s down to just a 25-cent market value.

Given the synergies he has with the World Shaper deck and other cards we’ve mentioned here, that’s a steal.

It’s also not often to find an Eldrazi on the cheap, but Emrakul, the World Anew has seen a drop off in recent weeks.

This colorless 12/12 can gain control of opponents’ creatures and then sacrifice them, too. It’s a big cost mana-wise, but the dollar value has dropped to around $8.

Exalted Sunborn has dropped significantly, too. It’s still almost $20, but this flying, lifelink Angel Wizard (what a combo, by the way) is dropping a couple of dollars and could drop further.

Starfield Vocalist’s more expensive versions remain pricey, but the basic rare is down to $1.49. Given it gives you double triggers on ETB effects, it could be worth looking at.

Finally, The Seriema was one of the first cards revealed, and it’s dropped from $40 right down to $1.49 over the last month.

MTG Sealed Sets - Labor Day Deals

Finally (heh), we’ve been watching the price of the Final Fantasy Commander bundle over the last few weeks, and it’s just hit $175.

Given you’d have paid not far off that for a single deck not that long ago, you’re now essentially getting each for under MSRP at under $44 each.

George Lucas 'Told Off' The Thursday Murder Club Star Celia Imrie For Wearing Lipstick While Filming Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace, As Actress Admits She Didn't Have a Clue About the Movie's Plot

British acting legend Celie Imrie, star of The Thursday Murder Club, has recalled the time she cameoed as a Naboo fighter pilot in Star Wars: Episode 1: The Phantom Menace, and got told off by director George Lucas for wearing lipstick.

Imrie, perhaps better known for her roles in a slew of other films such as the Bridget Jones series, Nanny McPhee and Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again, also appeared in the original Star Wars prequel. Keep a keen eye out and you'll spot her in the movie's final battle sequence, piloting a yellow Naboo starfighter with the call sign of Bravo Five.

"This is one of the most popular parts I can ever talk about," Imrie said in a BAFTA interview, "especially in America and especially with young gentlemen, who can't believe I was Bravo Five in Star Wars."

"Extraordinarily, one day I was doing a very serious play with the great, late Harold Pinter, and the casting director [for Star Wars Episode 1] was sitting in the audience in the matinée," Imrie recalled. "He took one look at me in my nightie and thought 'she'd make a good Star Wars pilot'."

Much of Star Wars Episode 1's battle sequence was shot using green screen, something that does not seem to have helped Imrie's understanding of what was actually going on during her relatively short time on set.

"As a Star Wars fighter pilot, I never knew who I shot, whether I won, or whether I came back to Earth in an aeroplane or not," Imrie admitted. "I hadn't got a clue what the plot was. My yellow aeroplane was on a stand so I was sort of, like one of those fairground ones, rocked around all over the place. I did a lot of diving in my goggles and everything, and looked very fierce. And I got told off by George Lucas for wearing lipstick. But seeing as I was the only lady pilot, I thought, why not?"

In the wider Star Wars universe, Imrie's character has a full name — Dineé Ellberger — and happily is confirmed to have survived the events of the first film. Other details on Brave Five's later life remain scarce, however.

Imrie is currently starring in Netflix hit The Thursday Murder Club alongside Pierce Brosnan, Helen Mirren and Ben Kingsley, in a role that requires a lot less green screen and no need for spacecraft goggles.

In other recent interviews, The Thursday Murder Club director Chris Columbus has said he was fired from 20th Century Fox’s original Fantastic Four movie after suggesting concept art should feel more like the Silver Age of Marvel, and ruled out any chance of Harry Potter stars Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson reuniting as their characters in the future.

Battlefield 6 Has Deliberately Avoided Adding Ray-Tracing — Here's Why

Battlefield 6 doesn't have ray-tracing, and its developer has said there are no plans to add the feature down the line.

While ray-tracing has been notably missing from Battlefield 6's open beta tests, it wasn't entirely clear if this was just because the game was in beta or if it was a deliberate choice. Turns out, it's the latter.

Despite being a popular inclusion in some games, ray-tracing's more natural method of simulating lighting can also prove to be draining on your PC or console's system resources — and it's for this reason that the competitive shooter won't include it. Indeed, Christian Buhl — studio technical director at Ripple Effect, one of the studios working on Battlefield 6 — has told Comicbook that while the PC version of Battlefield 6 will have over 600 different options in its settings menu, "ray-tracing won’t be one of them and there’s no plans to bring it into the game in the near future."

“No, we are not going to have ray-tracing when the game launches and we don’t have any plans in the near future for it either,” Buhl said. “That was because we wanted to focus on performance. We wanted to make sure that all of our effort was focused on making the game as [optimized] as possible for the default settings and the default users.

"So, we just made the decision relatively early on that we just weren’t going to do ray-tracing and again, it was mostly so that we could focus on making sure it was performance for everyone else."

While most people would likely sacrifice visuals to preserve performance during multiplayers mode, this may be disappointing news for some players who'd hoped to have ray-tracing in Battlefield 6's upcoming single-player campaign, when the time comes to play.

Earlier today, we highlighted a nine-minute slice of Battlefield 6's battle royale mode that has leaked online. This particular video not only gives a good look at what to expect from the mode, but also reveals a couple of gameplay mechanics we didn't previously know about, too, including swimming, one of the gadgets, and its "massive map."

Battlefield 6 releases on October 7. We're having a great time with what we've played so far, writing in our Battlefield 6 review-in-progress: "Right now, even in beta form, Battlefield 6 might be the most fun shooter I’ve played this year."

The Sonos Labor Day Sale Drops Prices on the Rarely Discounted Arc Ultra Soundbar and Era 300 Speaker

The Sonos Labor Day Sale is live now with discounts of up to 20% off select speakers and headphones. Sonos hosts events like this throughout the year, however this particular one is special because the Arc Ultra soundbar and the Era 300 speaker are both on sale. These two are rarely discounted, so this is a great opportunity to pick them up at a substantial markdown. Both speakers have dedicated height channels for Dolby Atmos spatial audio and smart functionality. Sonos offers free shipping on all orders and a 12-month warranty on all of its products.

Save up to 20% off during the Sonos Labor Day Sale

Sonos Arc Ultra Soundbar

The Arc Ultra is Sonos' best soundbar speaker, replacing last year's Arc model. It is a massive 46" soundbar that houses 14 total speakers. These consist of seven silk-dome tweeters including two upward firing speakers for Dolby Atmos supported height channels and spatial audio, six midwoofers, and a four-motor, dual-membrane Sound Motion woofer. The speakers are paired with Class-D digital amplifiers. The Arc Ultra uses AI enhancement technology to isolate and boost the clarity of dialogue and voices. It also has a built-in microphone so that it can be controlled using voice commands from the Sonos app or your favorite smart assistant like Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant.

Sonos Era 300 Smart Speaker

The Era 300 is a much bigger, better sounding version of the Era 100. It's nearly double the size and weight. The Era 300 is also shaped differently, but there's a reason for that. The hourglass figure is designed to optimally arrange the six speakers so that they fire sound in all directions, enhancing Dolby Atmos and spatial audio effects. The Era 300 consist of four tweeters and two woofers paired with Class-D digital amplifiers and custom waveguides to help project sound to all corners of your room. It also has a built-in microphone for smart assistant compatibility.

Sonos Move 2 Portable Speaker

The Move 2 is Sonos' biggest and best portable speaker. It's size allows it to house two tweeters, a mid-woofer, and three class-D digital amplifiers. This is a standalone speaker with a self-contained battery and can be carried around from room to room. The battery provides up to 24 hours of continuous playtime and a simple but effective docking station essentially turns it into a powered speaker. It is IP56 rated for weather resistance and has a built-in microphone so that it can accept voice commands and is compatible with smart assistants.

Sonos Era 100 Smart Speaker

The Sonos Era 100 is a direct improvement over the now discontinued Sonos One. This is a small standalone powered speaker that pumps out great sound for its small footprint. Unlike the Sonos Move, this is not a portable speaker with a built-in battery, so you'll need to leave it plugged in. Sound quality is equivalent to a Sonos Move, which isn't surprising considering they have similar internal components: two tweeters, a mid-woofer, and three class-D digital amps. It has a built-in microphone for smart assistant functionality.

Sonos Ace Headphones

The Sonos Ace is Sonos' first headphone and it delivers on all fronts. It offers superb sound quality with support for Dolby Atmos spatial audio, excellent noise cancellation, plush memory foam earcups for all-day comfort, a steel reinforced headband for durability, and a subtle yet elegant aesthetic.

Why Sonos?

If you're looking for an easy solution to add great sound to your home, then you've probably already heard of Sonos. Sonos speakers are very easy to set up, don't take a large amount of space, and most importantly, offer distortion-free room-filling audio. They're definitely pricier than budget options, but the sound quality is comparable to speakers that cost hundreds more or take up much more space.

The Secretlab Labor Day Sale Discounts the Titan Evo Nanogen Chair for the First Time

The Secretlab Labor Day Sale has officially commenced and runs through September 3. Save up to $139 off Secretlab's popular Titan line of gaming chairs, Magnus gaming desks, and accessories. This is also the first sale I've seen where the recently released Titan Evo Nanogen chair and the Titan Evo recliner add-on have been discounted.

It's no secret that we love our Secretlab gaming chairs. Three of the eight chairs in our best gaming chair roundup are Secretlab models. Of all the gaming chairs we covered in our "Budget to Best" roundup video earlier this year, my colleague Akeem Lawanson considered the Secretlab Titan Evo to be the most comfortable. No good chair comes cheap and Secretlab chairs definitely cost a premium, but we think the craftsmanship, materials, and customizability are worth it.

TL;DR - The Best Secretlab Deals

You can quickly browse through all of the listed products on sale above. For more information on each product and why they are worth your consideration, read through below.

Secretlab Titan Evo Nanogen Edition

The Titan Evo Nanogen Edition is on sale for the first time ever. It normally sells for $799 at Secretlab direct, but there's a $50 off discount during the Labor Day Sale. If your budget can accomodate it, this is the best gaming chair. In our recent Titan Evo Nanogen Edition review, Chris Coke wrote that "the Secretlab Titan Evo Nanogen Edition deserves every bit of the overwhelming praise I’ve given. Granted, at $799 it’s significantly more expensive than the original and not far off from an entry-level Herman-Miller. But the return it offers in comfortable, supportive gaming is well worth the extra cost thanks to dramatically improved materials in both the fabric and multi-layered padding. The Titan Evo Nanogen Edition is class-leading, and is hands-down the most comfortable gaming chair I’ve ever used."

Secretlab Titan Evo

The Titan Evo starts at $499 during the sale. This is Secretlab's flagship chair and it's available in small, medium, and large sizes. Upholstery options include Neo Hybrid leatherette, SoftWeave Plus fabric, or premium Napa leather. The chair features cold-cure foam upholstery for the seat, a supportive four-way lumbar system, full length backrest with 165 degrees of recline, full metal 4D armrests with magnetically attached PU cushions, and a memory foam headrest pillow.

Aside from the build quality, the Titan Evo also stands out thanks to the sheer number of officially licensed designs from popular video games, TV shows, and more. Some of the more popular examples include Star Wars, The Witcher, Overwatch, Attack on Titan, League of Legends, World of Warcraft, and Game of Thrones. They generally cost more than the standard colors, but they're worth it if you're looking for that extra personal touch.

In our Secretlab Titan Evo review, Chris Coke wrote that "after two years of daily use, the Secretlab Titan Evo has proven that it can stand the test of time and still be one of the best gaming chairs you can buy. Meaningful ergonomics paired with Secretlab’s wide selection of designs, it remains a fantastic option, especially for fans of bright colors or designs."

Secretlab Titan Evo Lite

The Titan Evo Lite gaming chair is an excellent value with its starting price tag of $419, which is $80 less than the base model Titan Evo. It's built upon the same frame as the Titan Evo and has the same core features like the cold-cure foam cushioning, lumbar, 165 degrees of recline, and 4D armrests. What it compromises on is customization, with "only" two upholstery options, two sizes, and five colors, a non-adjustable lumbar system, simpler arm rests, and no included head rest. If none of these tradeoffs bother you, then you'll be saving quite a bit of money.

Secretlab Titan Recliner Add-On

Also on sale for the first time, Secretlab's new recliner add-on is $30 off for Labor Day. This is a nice upgrade for anyone who already owns the Titan Evo chair. In our recliner add-on review, Chris Coke wrote that "while both comfort and value are subjective things, the recliner is able to take the Titan Evo and transform it from one of the best racing style gaming chairs to standing head and shoulders above the competition at its price point. It’s novel enough that I wouldn’t be surprised to see other brands following suit in the near future. If you don’t mind paying for it, it’s an absolutely killer upgrade for your gaming chair."

Secretlab Magnus and Magnus Pro

The Magnus and Magnus Pro are also on sale for July 4. The Magnus is a traditional fixed-frame gaming desk while the Magnus Pro ups the ante with a custom designed electric standing desk frame for an additional $250. Both desks feature an all-metal desktop surface, solid steel legs and cleverly thought out areas for cable management, but the Magnus Pro has some really unique features including a power cable that runs internally inside one of the telescoping legs and an in-line control panel that you won't bump into.

In our Secretlab Magnus Pro review. Mark Knapp writes that "the Secretlab Magnus Pro is a fantastic desk, bringing the brilliant cable management solutions of the original Magnus to a fast, quiet, and wide-ranging motorized standing desk. The desk is built well and proves an excellent platform for work and play alike. It’s an expensive desk though, and for the money, it would have been nice to see a smarter safety mechanism for the motors and the desk mat included. Still, the overall quality you get is a big step up from cheaper standing desks, and the optional accessories truly enhance the experience. Anyone who’s not committed to a standing desk should save their money and go for the standard Magnus if everything else about this model sounds good, but for gamers who love a tidy desk and want the flexibility of a standing desk, the Magnus Pro should be the first they consider."

The Walmart Labor Day Sale Has Fantastic Deals on Prebuilt Gaming PCs for Every Budget

The best gaming PC deals I've seen so far for Labor Day aren't from a retailer I'd normally expect. Walmart is offering a selection of discounted gaming PCs that range from a budget RTX 5060 rig to a 4K-ready RTX 5070 Ti powerhouse at prices less than what I found so far from Amazon, Best Buy, Costco, Alienware, Lenovo, and HP. These PCs are all sold and shipped by Walmart, not a marketplace vendor, and are eligible for Walmart's 30-day electronics return policy. These are some incredible discounts you'll only find in the Walmart Labor Day sale.

Walmart Labor Day Sale: The Best Gaming PC Deals

Of all the Blackwell cards released thus far, the RTX 5070 Ti offers the best bang for your buck, especially when pitted against the previous generation GPUs. It performs neck-and-neck with the RTX 4080 Super and marginalizes the RTX 5080, which is only about 10%-15% faster but costs 33% more. Like all Blackwell cards, the RTX 5070 Ti supports DLSS 4 with multi-frame generation. This GPU is capable of high framerates in nearly all games, even at 4K resolution.

iBuypower Element SE RTX 5060 Gaming PC for $899

It will run pretty much any game in 1080p at framerates of up to 60fps, although some games might require some settings adjustments. Like all Blackwell GPUs, the RTX 5060 supports DLSS 4 with multi-frame generation, and the performance improvement over the 4060 will be bigger with games that support it. Check out our RTX 5060 review for more details.

iBuypower Element Pro Radeon RX 9070 XT Gaming PC $1499

Walmart is currently offering the iBuypower Element Pro gaming PC for just $1499 with free delivery. It's equipped with an AMD Ryzen 9 7900X CPU, Radeon RX 9070 XT GPU, 32GB of DDR5 RAM, and 2TB M.2 SSD. We rated the AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT a "perfect" 10/10. The 9070 XT is comparable in raw performance to the GeForce RTX 5070 Ti, which is very impressive considering the fact that the 9070 XT typically costs $150 less. Where the 5070 Ti wins is in upscaling (DLSS) and ray tracing performance. The 9070 XT is also on equal ground with the $1,000 RX 7900 XTX. It can run pretty much any game at 4K resolution and at framerates of 60fps or higher.

Kojima Set to Offer Glimpse at 'Future Projects' During Event Celebrating 10 Years of Independence From Konami

Death Stranding creator Hideo Kojima has announced plans to celebrate the 10th anniversary of establishing his own studio, Kojima Productions, with an event in Tokyo later this month.

Hosted by Kojima himself, the "celebratory event," entitled Beyond The Strand, will include guest appearances "as well as offer a glimpse into future projects." It'll take place at TOHO Cinemas Roppongi Hills, Tokyo, Japan, on September 23, 2025.

Fans in the vicinity can enter a lottery to be in with a chance of securing a ¥7700 — the equivalent of around $50 — when tickets go on sale tomorrow, September 2. Or, alternatively, you can watch the action online.

Right now, it seems unlikely we'll see much of Kojima's mysterious upcoming PlayStation game Physint — as the developer recently told us the game remains "at the conceptual stage". More likely, perhaps, we'll get to know a little more about Kojima's horror project OD, which is still in development in collaboration with Microsoft, despite Xbox's recent cancellations of a number of projects, both internal and external.

Kojima first announced his OD collaboration with Xbox in November of 2022, then officially revealed OD along with several of its star cast members at The Game Awards 2023. We learned at the time that Kojima was working with filmmaker Jordan Peele to create a horror experience “no one has seen before."

Hideo Kojima also, of course, created the seminal stealth series, Metal Gear, but that doesn't mean he'll be spending at time playing remake Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater. When asked recently if he would be playing the remake, he laughed and replied: "No, I won't.". That said, Konami’s Metal Gear series producer Noriaki Okamura has said he’d love to work with Kojima again on the stealth series.

The Asus Prime GeForce RTX 5070 Graphics Card Is Priced Below MSRP During the Amazon Labor Day Sale

If you've been waiting for one of the more affordable Blackwell cards to come back in stock at a reputable retailer, here's a shocker: the RTX 5070 graphics card has dropped to below launch pricing. Amazon is currently offering Amazon Prime members a chance to pick up the Asus Prime GeForce RTX 5070 12GB Graphics Card for $523.79 with free shipping. The RTX 5070 is an excellent GPU for gaming at up to 1440p with high framerates, especially with DLSS 4 enabled. The Asus Prime uses a triple fan cooler, which is preferred over dual slot solutions for its better cooling potential and lower noise, as long as your PC case has the proper clearance.

Asus Prime GeForce RTX 5070 12GB Graphics Card for $524

Compared to the previous generation GPUs, the RTX 5070 performs comparably with the RTX 4070 Super. We wish there was a bigger generation improvement in raw performance, but the RTX 4070 Super was already an excellent card for 1080p and 1440p gaming. In any case, the RTX 4070 Super GPU has since been discontinued and is only readily available in the used market. The RTX 5070 also supports DLSS 4 with multi-frame generation, and the performance gap widens in games that support this new technology , like Wuchang: Fallen Feathers and Doom: The Dark Ages.

The Asus Prime model boasts a triple-fan cooler design. If you're not constrained by space, a triple-fan cooler is preferred over dual-fan because it does a better job of keeping temps down. It's generally quieter too because the fans don't have to run at a higher speed. A triple-fan cooler generally costs more, which makes this deal even better.
