Donald Trump has sued JPMorgan Chase and its CEO, Jamie Dimon, for at least $5bn after accusing America’s largest bank of “debanking” him.

The US president alleged that JPMorgan stopped offering him banking services in the wake of the Capitol riot on January 6, 2021. Earlier this month, he claimed that it had “incorrectly and inappropriately” discriminated against him.

US president claims ‘framework’ of agreement in the works after ‘very productive’ meeting with Nato secretary general

Donald Trump has walked back his threat to impose sweeping US tariffs on eight European countries, claiming he had agreed “the framework of a future deal” on Greenland.

Four days after vowing to introduce steep import duties on a string of US allies over their support for Greenland’s continued status as an autonomous Danish territory, the president backed down.

Conservative and liberal judges questioned administration over president’s authority to fire without due process

US supreme court justices appeared skeptical of Donald Trump’s case for firing a Federal Reserve governor on Wednesday, in a key test of the president’s power – and his administration’s battle to exert greater control over the US central bank.

Five months after Trump tried to fire Lisa Cook over apparent discrepancies on mortgage applications his officials claim are evidence of fraud, both conservative and liberal justices grilled the administration over whether the US president has the power to fire a Fed governor with seemingly no process.
