While Sony typically waits until the last Wednesday of the month to announce its upcoming PlayStation Plus Essential line-up, the console maker seems to have accidentally leaked one of May’s headlining titles – with the Until Dawn Remake seemingly set to be given away next month.

As discovered by Reddit user ‘Budget-Neat4750’ a select number of PlayStation users have had their PS Plus tab updated with a listing for the Until Dawn Remake as one of the available monthly games.

Of course, right now, the title is not actually available to claim, with April’s PS Plus line-up still set to be available until the 6th of May – those games being RoboCop Rogue City; Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker's Memory and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

Given this, it is highly likely that last year’s Until Dawn remake will be one of May’s headlining PlayStation Plus titles. This also lines up with the recent release of the Until Dawn film a couple days ago; making for a great synergistic release.

All that said, the Until Dawn Remake was a bit of a controversial release, with some fans arguing the original game to be superior. Since its launch last year however, the Remake has seen a number of updates, which at the very least helped with performance issues.

It will be interesting to see what the wider audience thinks of the game should it wind up being one of next month’s PS Plus titles.

Following a ton of leaks and rumours, the much-anticipated Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered was finally shadow-dropped to a great deal of interest, seeing a peak concurrent player count on Steam of over 100,000 within hours of its launch. In alignment with the announcement that the remaster has surpassed 4 million total players, Oblivion managed to hit a new peak concurrent player count on Steam on Sunday.

Over the weekend, as some of the early launch day bugs were squashed and more people got the chance to hop into the game, TES IV: Oblivion Remastered managed to surpass its day-one concurrent player count on Steam.

While CCUs are a rather arbitrary metric (particularly for single player games) it is still worthy of note, especially in instances such as this, as Oblivion Remastered has now seen a new peak CCU of over 200,000 players – 216,784 to be specific.

Though not uncommon for a game to rise in popularity during the weekend period, it is interesting to consider whether Oblivion’s surprise ‘shadow drop’ launch has contributed to its continued rise in concurrent players as more people were made aware of its release.

Regardless, it will be interesting to see how the game continues to perform over time, and whether it has hit its peak, or if this is just the start.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 launched as the highest-rated game of 2025 so far and despite this week's release of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, the game has managed to accrue an impressive number of sales.

Within days of the game's release, Sandfall Interactive confirmed it had surpassed 500K sales for the game. Now that the weekend surge has kicked in, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has now surpassed 1 million sales.

In a tweet, Sandfall Interactive thanks fans for their support of the game, adding that they reached the 1 million players milestone sooner than expected. Impressively, this 1 million sales figure does not include players who have installed the game via Game Pass.

For those out of the loop, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is a new turn-based RPG where players look to take down The Paintress, a goddess-like figure that controls death in this fantasy universe. The game has gone on to receive wide acclaim from critics and gamers themselves are leaving overwhelmingly positive reviews for the game on Steam.

Meta's AR and VR division has been burning money for a long time, costing the company billions as it chases its dream of birthing the ‘metaverse'. Now, company bosses are looking to bring the costs down and make its Reality Labs team more efficient. 

According to sources speaking with Bloomberg, Meta is undergoing a round of job cuts at its Reality Labs division, with “more than 100″employees set to be impacted.

A Meta spokesperson later gave comment to The Verge, confirming that “some teams” were undergoing layoffs. The goal with this is to make Mixed Reality development more efficient, which sounds like an admission that Meta Reality Labs has lost too much money and things need to start turning around.

Despite seeing little return, Meta has continued to invest in its Reality Labs division, putting out new Quest VR hardware and acquiring additional companies to bolster its mixed reality offerings.

The Marathon alpha playtest went live for thousands of players earlier this week and PC gamers were quick to zone in on the game's use of aim assist for both controller and mouse inputs. Now, Bungie has responded to the criticism. 

Bungie will be making adjustments in an upcoming patch for the Marathon alpha test. This update will include disabling ‘aim magnetism' on mouse. It is unclear if aim assist will return for mouse users, but given how heavy-handed the ‘assist' was, it will need to be heavily nerfed in order to make a return.

While many shooters will offer some form of aim assist to controller users, aim assist is traditionally not offered to keyboard and mouse users due to the ease of aiming with a mouse compared to a controller's analogue sticks. While aim assist on controllers is generally accepted, spoofing your input to access aim assist on a mouse is often viewed as cheating and many games now actively ban players for using such tools.

In Marathon, aim assist was available for both controller users and mouse users. It was switched on by default in the Marathon alpha and it would essentially cause your aim to snap onto enemies. It also seemed to help with recoil control, taking another element of skill out of the shootout.

While the surprise was spoiled weeks ahead of time, Bethesda's reveal of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered still managed to deliver. The reveal quickly hyped fans up for a return to The Imperial City. 

The Oblivion remaster quickly began racking up sales when it went live on Tuesday and things have only snowballed in the days following. Bethesda has now announced that the game has racked up over four million players in the days since release.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered has been rumoured for years, as the game originally showed up on a Microsoft document filed in the FTC vs Microsoft court case. The leaked document also listed Fallout 3 Remastered and Dishonored 3, neither of which have been officially announced yet.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered has been a top-selling game on Steam, as well as Xbox and PS5 consoles since its release. However, the game also had a player boost from Game Pass, with the game becoming available to all Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers on day-one.

In a recent milestone video celebrating 10 million players for Resident Evil 4 Remake, Capcom hid a little sign numbered ‘IX'. This was quickly picked up on by fans on social media.

Resident Evil 9 has been in the works since Resident Evil Village shipped. The next game is set to conclude the story that began with Resident Evil 7, which introduced all new characters to the franchise.

According to long-time Resident Evil leaker, Dusk Golem, Resident Evil 9 will be announced later this year, with a release date scheduled for 2026. Typically, Capcom likes to release major titles in the first half of the year, as we've seen in recent years with the likes of Monster Hunter Wilds and Dragon's Dogma 2 being Q1 releases.

Phanteks is expanding its cooling lineup with a new generation of AIO liquid CPU coolers – the Glacier One D30 X2. Available with radiators up to 420mm long. The new AIOs also ship with Phanteks' signature D30 fans. 

The Glacier One D30 X2 utilises Phanteks' D30 fans, which cleverly link together physically, simplifying installation and significantly reducing cable clutter by handling power and D-RGB lighting for multiple fans via a single cable connection. While AMD has been busy introducing an its RDNA 4 desktop graphics cards to the market, the rumor mill is now heavily focused on what the company has planned for the mobile segment. According to a recent report, a series of Radeon RX 9000M GPUs for laptops is now on the way. 

According to All The Watts!!, this mobile series will be split across two GPU dies. The top tier is expected to feature two GPUs built on Navi 48: the rumoured flagship Radeon RX 9080M and the RX 9070M XT. The RX 9080M is tipped to pack the full 64 CUs (4,096 Stream Processors) paired with 16GB of memory. The RX 9070M XT is rumored to come with 48 CUs (3072 SPs) and 12GB of memory.

Moving down the stack, the remaining four GPUs are believed to be based on Navi 44. These are the RX 9070M, RX 9070S, RX 9060M, and RX 9060S, where the ‘S' variants are expected to be lower-power versions. The RX 9070M and 9070S are rumoured to feature 32 CUs (2,048 SPs), while the entry-level RX 9060M and 9060S are said to have 28 CUs (1,792 SPs). All four of these SKUs are reportedly equipped with 8GB of memory.

With AMD already scheduled to hold a press conference at Computex 2025, there is a strong possibility that the first Radeon RX 9000M laptops could debut at the event.

Apple is believed to be working on multiple future revisions to the Apple Vision Pro, with the expectation of an updated model arriving before a full-blown sequel. The current rumor mill belief is for something lighter and more consumer friendly to be the next release in the range.

In Sunday's "Power On" newsletter for Bloomberg, Mark Gurman writes about two successors to the Apple Vision Pro. One is a mode that is lighter and cheaper than the current model.

Apple is rumored to be shaking up its 2025 iPhone lineup, with a new ultra-thin iPhone 17 Air. Here's what the rumor mill thinks is coming.


The long-rumored iPhone 17 Air, or iPhone 17 Slim as it's sometimes called, is set to launch alongside the standard iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max. It will, however, replace the Plus variant of the iPhone, which hasn't seen significant popularity with end consumers.

Just as the iPhone 14 Plus replaced the iPhone 13 mini in 2022, the iPhone 17 Air will appear in place of the Plus model for 2025. Rather than simply being a larger version of the standard iPhone, Apple's new iPhone Air model will focus on thinness above all else.

Tom Hanks is steering Apple TV+ back into WWII waters with a high-stakes sequel to "Greyhound," with production scheduled for early 2026.


Apple Original Films is once again partnering with Hanks' Playtone banner and director Aaron Schneider for the follow-up to the 2020 wartime thriller. Hanks returns as Captain Krause and is also writing the script.

The sequel will expand beyond the Atlantic setting of the first film, taking audiences from the beaches of Normandy to battles in the Pacific theater, according to Deadline.

In recent weeks, there have been reports that Intel intends to undergo a wider restructuring that could see its workforce reduced by as much as 20%. While Intel has not yet confirmed any specific numbers, CEO Lip-Bu Tan, has confirmed that layoffs will be taking place soon.

Lip-Bu Tan wants Intel to be a leaner company with a more engineer-first mindset. This process will involve ‘flattening the organisation' to remove “unnecessary bureaucracy”. It has also been noted that management are no longer to focus on team size as a key performance metric.

Speaking more specifcally on the wider lay-offs, Tan said: “There is no way around the fact that these critical changes will reduce the size of our workforce. As I said when I joined, we need to make some very hard decisions to put our company on a solid footing for the future. This will begin in Q2 and we will move as quickly as possible over the next several months.”

Tan adds that Intel will be “very intentional” about where to focus its efforts moving forward as it looks to regain technical leadership.

Lastly, the NQ700 will be available in 1TB and 2TB capacities, but pricing hasn't been disclosed yet.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is the best RPG this year so far. It's like a blend of a souls-like with a JRPG, and is turn-based, with some additional mechanics from other genres. In our performance review, we examine its graphical fidelity, VRAM usage, and how well it runs on a variety of modern GPUs.

While Nvidia announced specs and pricing for the RTX 5060 at the same time as the RTX 5060 Ti, the standard edition graphics card has not yet been made available. That should change in a few weeks' time.

According to Videocardz the RTX 5060 will launch on the 19th of May and board partners have been given updated embargo details. If true, we should start hearing more about the RTX 5060 in the weeks ahead. This graphics card is set to be the new entry point to the RTX 50 line-up, with prices starting at $299.

Last year, Ubisoft sparked backlash after it took its original open-world racing game, The Crew, offline and went as far as removing the game entirely from digital libraries. To avoid making the exact same mistake with The Crew 2 and The Crew Motorfest, Ubisoft is gearing up to introduce offline modes.

Both The Crew 2 and The Crew Motorfest will be getting an offline play mode to “ensure long-term access to both titles”. Additionally, the developers have committed to releasing more content for both games in the future. Currently, the offline mode for The Crew 2 is set to begin testing this week. Assuming there are no major problems, the offline mode should roll out to all players in a month or so.

The offline mode for The Crew Motorfest is still on the way, but there is no release timeline yet. The game continues to get seasonal updates and still has years of planned content ahead.

KitGuru Says: It sounds like The Crew Motorfest's offline mode is not a priority right now, but that should change once the offline mode for The Crew 2 has rolled out to all.

During a livestream last night, Remedy announced its launch plans for its first multiplayer game – FBC: Firebreak. Set in the Control universe, the game will put players in clean-up squads, tasked with containing anomalies throughout The Oldest House. 

The game will be launching on Steam and the Epic Games Store, a notable change from Alan Wake 2, which has remained an Epic Games Store exclusive since launch. The game will also be available on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. Better yet, Remedy will be adding the game to both PlayStation Plus Premium and Xbox Game Pass (PC Game Pass included.

If you do opt to buy the game, it will cost £32.99, and a deluxe edition that includes various skins, sprays, armour sets and voice packs, will cost £7.99. The game officially launches on the 17th of June. So far, no beta has been announced, so it is unclear if there will be an opportunity to test the game before release.

It's unbelievable that we've had Apple Silicon for half a decade — or the Apple Watch for a whole decade. Both were so strongly rumored for so long before they were announced, and both have become enormous successes since. It would be hard to go back to the pre-Apple Silicon days now, and you wouldn't rush to give up your Apple Watch either.

This week has also seen developers accusing Apple of using bug reports to train AI, though, and there's also plenty to say about what's been happening with Apple Intelligence. Plus Apple is being sued — again — and this time the reasons for it are a lesson for us all about protecting our iPhones and our data.

The Marvel Rivals team has not been shy about teasing future heroes by leaving references in the game files. Through datamining, all of Marvel Rivals' heroes so far have leaked beforehand. This week, another leak has given us further insight into the next wave of playable characters. 

XOXLEAK, an account that leaked Oblivion Remastered details earlier this week, and has also leaked Marvel Rivals content previously, has now shared a new set of characters the developers are working on. Hive and Armor are up as potential new tank characters, Amaranth could make an appearance as a DPS hero and finally, White Fox and Forge are up as potential new support role characters.

Datamining gives insight into what the developers are working on, but it is never a 100% guarantee that a certain character will make it into the live game. A few previously datamined characters have already been put on hold for reasons unknown.

XOX also revealed a few other new pieces of content, including new team-up abilities, as well as new cosmetic store bundles.

Apple will reportedly dramatically accelerate manufacturing efforts in India, and may try to import nearly every iPhone 18 sold in the US from the country by the end of 2026. There are reasons to be skeptical that this will happen.


Apple has been manufacturing iPhones in India for a few years. Opinions vary on how many devices imported to the US come from the country, but if Friday morning's report first made by the Financial Times is accurate, that number will skyrocket in the next 20 months.

While a lofty goal, we're skeptical about the report. At the moment, India produces about 40 million iPhones per year for both local distribution requirements and export — a bit less than a fifth of Apple's global iPhone production.

Bungie has officially begun public playtests for Marathon and players are quickly digging into all aspects of the game. One thing that immediately stood out to many PC gamers was the option to switch on aim assist with a mouse, and as you might expect, this has stirred up quite the debate. 

While many shooters will offer some form of aim assist to controller users, aim assist is traditionally not offered to keyboard and mouse users due to the ease of aiming with a mouse compared to a controller's analogue sticks. While aim assist on controllers is generally accepted, spoofing your input to access aim assist on a mouse is often viewed as cheating and many games now actively ban players for using such tools.

In Marathon, aim assist is available for both controller users and mouse users. It is switched on by default in the Marathon alpha and helps your crosshair stick to moving targets. While this might not be as big of a deal in a PvE focused game like Destiny, Marathon is a competitive game that heavily leans towards PvP action. Typically in a PvP game, we would expect there to be a skill gap, whoever has the faster aim and better recoil control will win the shootout. With the aim assist feature, recoil control is neutralised, taking a significant element of skill out of the game.

The baffling part about this is that Bungie is well known for its ability to make gunplay feel good. Halo became legendary because first and foremost, it was a fantastic shooter. Destiny has survived on the back of its gameplay, rather than story elements, for a decade.

Based on the clips we're seeing from Marathon already, the aim assist function does a lot of heavy lifting, more than what we're used to seeing in games like Call of Duty. A clip from streamer, Shroud, encapsulates this with all of the participants stating that they are ‘aim botting'.

Bungie has not yet commented on the feedback but based on the pushback to aim assist for mouse users, I can't imagine this feature remains in the game at launch.

KitGuru Says: I expect this to be removed, or at the very least, heavily nerfed. With how heavy-handed the aim assist was, it should probably be nerfed a bit on controllers too.

Each month, Sony updates its PlayStation Plus Extra/Premium libraries with a number of new and returning titles. Unfortunately, at the same time the company also removes games from the service on a monthly basis – with the likes of GTA V, InFamous Second Son and well over a dozen more titles departing PS Plus in May.

In going to the PlayStation Plus tab on your PS5, you’ll find a list of  titles under the ‘Last Chance to Play’ section. Leaving the service at some point in May are the following:

Easily the biggest game being removed is GTA V, however amongst this list of departees are a number of surprising titles.

Given the fact that InFamous Second Son is a first-party PlayStation title developed by Sucker Punch Productions, its removal from the service makes little sense – especially as this marks the only version of the game available (meaning this isn’t being done in order to add a remastered SKU later on).

Beyond this, other notable titles leaving include the fun first-person open-zone platform shooter ‘Journey to the Savage Planet’; the surprisingly immersive VR title ‘The Walking Dead Saints & Sinners’ and last but not least the fun, fast-paced first-person parkour slasher ‘Ghostrunner’.

While April’s PlayStation Plus Extra/Premium line-up was one of its best in a while, hopefully Sony has some major plans for PS Plus next month in order to make up for the slew of titles leaving the service.
