Amazon Is Selling PlayStation 5 DualSense Edge Controllers for $122 for Prime Day

The professional grade Sony PlayStation 5 DualSense Edge wireless controller is rarely discounted from its usual list price of $200. Fortunately, here's your opportunity to pick one up at a far, far lower price for Amazon Prime Day. As part of a general 30% off Amazon Resale promotion going on right now, you can get a Used: Like New controller for just $122.27 after a 30% automatic discount is applied during the last step of checkout. That's nearly 40% off and totally worth taking the (very small) gamble for a like-new model. "Like New" items are usually brand new and never used with damage to the packaging but not to the contents themselves. You still get the 30-day Amazon return policy.

PS5 DualSense Edge Controller (Used: Like New) for $122

The DualSense Edge is Sony's high-end controller for the PS5 console. Like the Xbox Elite Series 2 controller, it offers pro-level features like grips, adjustable analog sticks, mappable rear buttons, profiles, and more. You can swap out the standard analog stick tops with convex replacements that come in two different heights. You have two different options for the back buttons: levers like in the Xbox Elite Series 2 or smaller nubs. One of the most important features of any pro controller are the triggers, and they’ve gotten attention in the DualSense Edge as well. Next to each trigger is a stop slider that lets you adjust how far you have to press the trigger down to make it register. You can choose standard, medium, or short travel distances, the better to get off quick shots in competitive shooters.

All this tech is housed in a hard shell case for easy storage and transport. The case even has a flap that lets you charge the controller while it’s in the case. A 9-foot USB-C charging cable is also included. Plus, if your analog sticks crap out, you can buy replacements for $19.99.

You'll Soon Be Able to Wear Animal Crossing on Your Feet, With These Nintendo-Licensed Crocs

Fans of Animal Crossing and comfortable clogs rejoice — Nintendo's adorable life-sim series is coming to a pair of feet near you, thanks to a range of officially-licensed Crocs.

The shoes will go on sale later this summer with a platform clog design for adults and a classic kids clog design for children. Each is adorned with an Animal Crossing background, featuring fruit trees and a sandy shoreline.

And, of course, each can be customised with additional character charms, featuring Tom Nook, Isabelle and KK Slider, if you're willing to pay extra for the privilege.

The Animal Crossing Platform Clog for adults will cost $69.99, while the smaller Kids Animal Crossing Classic Clog will cost $54.99. Both are set to go on sale next month, on August 26.

Two packs of additional "jibbitz" charms will also available, priced at $16.99 — each. The first includes the three fashionable Sable sisters, plus a backpack and shirt. The second includes musuem owner Blathers, stargazing owl Celeste, scallop-loving Pascal, a fossil and a seashell.

Alternatively, you can pick up charms featuring villagers Rosie, Marshall or Bunnie for $4.99 each.

"Animal Crossing lets players enjoy a relaxing, slow-paced life while interacting with a cast of unique animal characters," Nintendo wrote, describing the introduction of this newly-licensed shoe range. "Since its debut in 2001, the games have been enjoyed by millions of players worldwide becoming a cherished title for fans of all ages. Now, for the first time ever, Crocs is partnering with Nintendo to debut a special collection launching Tuesday, August 26, 2025.

"This new collection features elements inspired by the lush, natural setting from the game. From the green tone that represents the land to the sole and strap inspired by the sea, see if you can discover all the Animal Crossing moments throughout the design of the shoe."

What next then for Animal Crossing, beyond shoes? Nintendo wound down ongoing support for Switch game Animal Crossing: New Horizons several years ago, despite its huge popularity. But with Switch 2 now released, a further sequel toetally feets inevitable. A shoo-in, if you will?

Amazon Prime Day 2025: We Found the Best Deals in the Sale That You Don't Want to Miss

Amazon Prime Day 2025 - the biggest sale event of the year outside of Black Friday - has officially commenced. New for this year, Amazon has elected to extend the sale to 4 days, running from July 8 to July 11. The majority of the deals are expected to go live on the first two days (July 8 and July 9), however I wouldn't be surprised if Amazon has a few surprises up its sleeve to keep the sale chugging along for the last two days. From past experience, I expect the vast majority of deals to expire promptly at midnight on July 11, so don't hesitate.

Outside of Black Friday, this is easily the best time of year to score the best deals on TVs, gaming PCs and laptops, Apple AirPods and iPads, headphones, toys, and more. Keep in mind that many of these deals are reserved exclusively for Amazon Prime members. If you're not a current member, you may be eligible for a 30-day free trial. If you don't want to commit to a full year of membership, Amazon offers a one-month plan for $14.99. I've picked out the best deals I'd buy for myself, and I'll keep updating this article as new and better deals roll in.

The 10 Best Prime Day Deals Right Now:

Prime Day Freebies

This is a rare opportunity for Prime members to sign up for extended trials to Audible, Kindle, Amazon Music, and more without paying a penny. If you're not a Prime member, here's a little tip: sign up for a single month of Prime for $14.99 and then opt into these offers. "As long as you were a Prime member when signing up for the Audible (or other) offer, your Prime trial will continue until the 3 (or however many) months are over." That's taken straight from an Amazon rep.

Prime Day Apple Deals

Without question Apple products are the hottest selling electronics year in and year out for Prime Day. This year should be no different, because several products have dropped to the lowest prices ever. That includes big markdowns on the Apple AirPods Pro 2, the current Apple Watch Series 10, and the latest Apple iPads that were released earlier this year. These discounts are so deep that I don't expect they'll go significantly lower, if at all, for Black Friday.

Prime Day Consoles and Gaming Hardware

Past experience has taught me that Prime Day deals on gaming hardware are few and far between. In terms of deal quantity, it isn't anything like Black Friday. However, what deals that are available are usually quite good. For 2025, the Meta Quest 3S VR headset looks to be the hot ticket, with $50-$70 discounts depending on which model you get. Handheld gaming PCs are getting more popular as well, especially with gaming PC prices skyrocketing, so now is a good time to pick up a sweet deal on a brand new Lenovo Legion Go for your gaming needs.

Prime Day SSD Deals

The SSD landscape has changed drastically over the past year. PCIe 5 SSDs have broken onto the scene in a big way in 2025, and there are massively faster drives you can get that will no longer cost you an arm and a leg. For example, Samsung is offering a killer deal on its new 9100 Pro PCIe 5 model, which boasts blazing speeds of up to 14,000MB/s; for the first time, you can pick up a 4TB stick for under $400. Of course this also pushes down prices on the older PCIe 4 SSDs, which are in no way obsolete and are still the best expansion options for your PlayStation 5 console or gaming PC.

Prime Day Video Game Deals

Summer is generally the slowest time of year for game releases. On the flip side, that means summer is also a perfect opportunity to pick up some classics you've been eyeing, especially with so many sales going on like Amazon Prime Day, the Steam Summer Sale, and the PlayStation Days of Play event. This way you'll get to enjoy catching up on worthy games until the next big releases that will come along during the holiday season. Although Prime Day might not be a mecca for gaming hardware, there are plenty of deals to be found on video game software. If you need help deciding, you can check out all of the games we've reviewed in the past year and start from there.

Buy 2 4K UHD Blu-rays, Get 1 Free for Prime Day

Amazon is kicking off a new offer on a wide selection of 4K Blu-ray movies: the 3 for 2 sale is live right now and will probably run through the entirety of the Prime Day sale event. Pick up brand-new releases like Warfare in 4K, the Jaws 50th Anniversary Edition, and exclusive steelbooks for recent standouts like Longlegs.

Buy 2 Books, Get 1 Free for Prime Day

Amazon's 4K Blu-ray sale might be great, but you don't want to sleep on the equally strong buy two, get one free book sale either. The huge list of eligible books include popular titles, box sets, and even some manga. If you've been looking forward to Prime Day to stock your bookshelf with some awesome reads, now is the perfect time to do so.

Prime Day TV Deals

Black Friday is the best time of year to find a great deal on a new TV, but it's certainly not the only time of year. Summer isn't usually the hottest season for watching major sporting events, but there's a plethora of content in new TV series, movies, and shows to watch every day with so many inexpensive streaming services to choose from, and it would be nice to enjoy all of it on a quality TV set. If you've got the budget, you can splurge on a fancy LG OLED TV with the best image quality money can buy. If you don't, the Roku Plus offers 80% of the experience for 30% of the cost.

Prime Day Prebuilt Gaming PC Deals

Prices on prebuilt gaming PCs have been dropping recently thanks to a better supply of incoming Nvidia GPUs. You'll still have to pay way above retail price to get a standalone graphics card for a DIY build, however it seems like system builders are getting them in more regularly. Not only are the prices lower than earlier this year, but ship dates are now only a few days to a few weeks out instead of months. If you've been looking for an opportunity to upgrade to a new gaming PC that can run games comfortably at 4K resolution, Prime Day certainly has no shortage of deals on powerful prebuilts.

Prime Day Gaming Laptop Deals

It has taken months, but the new 2025 laptops equipped with Nvidia's latest Blackwell GPUs are finally coming down to a reasonable price point. For Prime Day, Amazon has dropped the prices on several powerful laptops featuring the new RTX 5060, 5070, and 5080 GPUs. Depending on what you get, these gaming laptops are actually powerful enough to compete with desktop gaming PC builds. Gaming at high resolutions like QHD or even 4K - even with ray tracing - is a possibility.

Prime Day Headphone Deals

Don't shortchange yourself with any old can. For Prime Day, treat yourself to a quality pair of headphones that offer genuinely practical features like active noise cancellation, comfortable ergonomics, or, if you prefer earbuds, something with truly wireless connectivity. There are plenty of brands on sale for the next four days, including the best headphones and earbuds from Bose, Apple, Sony, and Beats. And yes, although there are options that can cost north of $300, there are also several great audio solutions for well under $100.

There are actually a few upcoming sales events happening after Prime Day ends. The next major sale you can expect to find great discounts on is Labor Day sales, which will start cropping up near the end of August and into actual Labor Day, which lands on September 1. Following that sale, you can expect Amazon to continue the tradition of its Fall Prime Day, which usually takes place sometime in the middle of October. Other retailers will offer competing Fall sales before Black Friday season starts in November.

Doctor Who Insider Says 'Nothing Is Commissioned and Nothing Is Guaranteed' as Show Remains in Limbo, Month After Finale Airs

Doctor Who could remain off-air for the rest of the decade, a notable insider has suggested, as concerns grow over the long-running show's immediate future.

That's according to Tom Spilsbury, a journalist and writer with close ties to the show's production, who previously served as editor of the officially-licensed Doctor Who Magazine (DWM) for more than a decade.

Writing on fan forum Gallifrey Base, Spilsbury said that while he expected Doctor Who to return at some point, fans should "adjust their expectations" for its immediate future, as the wait for official news on the series' Disney co-funding deal renewal drags on.

"I suspect the show will indeed come back at some point, but as of right now, nothing is commissioned and nothing is guaranteed," Spilsbury wrote. "Those are the facts. Time will tell, of course, but I don't get the sense of much optimism for anything very soon from anyone I've spoken to."

Over more than 100 issues with DWM, Spilsbury repeatedly interviewed key figures within the show's production, and separately worked with the BBC to record audio commentaries for the broadcaster's Doctor Who DVD range. And now, based on his knowledge of the show's production, Spilsbury has said that fans should prepare themselves for a lengthy wait for new episodes to air.

"Everything is moving much more slowly in television at the moment," Spilsbury wrote. "On the assumption that Disney doesn’t renew before its option officially expires, that will be the point when the BBC can start to shop the show around. And that process could take a fair bit of time - it may require more than one partner just to raise the money needed.

"Potential partners who may have some very specific requirements or stipulations. They may need to go back to people who they turned down last time. Have you noticed how more productions have needed multiple backers just to make them viable these days? Yes, the BBC could go for the ultra-cheap in-house version of the show, but I really don’t think that’s as viable an option as it used to be - the licence fee simply hasn’t kept up with inflation over the past few years."

Spilsbury caveated his comments by saying they were simply his "perspective", albeit one based on his production "knowledge and real-life conversations with people who do actually know a thing or two about television".

"I’m not saying that things will definitely turn out this way," he continued, "I just think people may need to adjust their expectations about how long this will all take. As I’ve always said, Doctor Who might not be officially 'cancelled' - but for now, the absence of a commission essentially amounts to the same thing. I’m sure that commission will come at some point, but the longer it takes, the more likely it will be that the show will return as a completely reimagined relaunch. And maybe that would be a good thing?"

While not a member of the show's current production, Spilsbury's previous closeness to the brand gives his words weight amongst Doctor Who fans, who are taking his sense of the series' future seriously. And a key element here, reading between the lines, seems to be the suggestion that the longer it takes for Doctor Who to return, the more likely it will be that it will be with a fresh team behind it.

"My guess - and it is just a guess - is that it will be five or six years before we see anything new," Spilsbury suggested. "At which point, it will be the children of 2005 who will be bringing the show back, just as Russell [T Davies, current Doctor Who showrunner] predicted. As ever, time will tell."

Spilsbury here is referencing a recent BBC Newsround interview with Davies, who referenced the last time Doctor Who was off-air for a considerable period, prior to his own first season as showrunner in 2005, when Christopher Eccleston took on the show's title role. In it, Davies said that Doctor Who would sometimes "pause" until a new generation took it on.

It's worth considering Spilsbury's previous comment that "potential partners" may have some "specific requirements or stipulations" — and it seems logical to suggest that, as time goes on, and sentiment around Doctor Who's most recent seasons settles, there may well be a greater desire from future potential co-funding partners for any new deal to also promise a fresh vision for the series.

Asked whether he believed the show's current finale — its last-minute reveal of Billie Piper, following the departure of Ncuti Gatwa's Doctor via a reshot ending — had created a rod for the show's own back whenever it does return, Spilsbury agreed, though suggested the longer the wait, the easier it would also be to ignore.

"Yes," he wrote, "but I think it will eventually become academic. I suspect it will be quite a while before new episodes are commissioned and announced, by which point enough time will have passed that everyone will be expecting a clean slate anyway."

Last month, Davies admitted Doctor Who's current production team "don't know what's happening yet" regarding the show's future. Meanwhile, the BBC has announced plans to mount an animated spin-off to air on kid's channel CBeebies, though it's unclear whether this will feature The Doctor as a main character.

Get a Used: Like New PlayStation 5 Slim Disc Console for $318 During Amazon Prime Day

Looking for the least expensive PlayStation 5 console you can your hands on? As part of the Amazon Prime Day Sale that kicks off today, Amazon is offering 30% off select resale (used) items. One of these eligible items happens to be a Used: Like New Sony PlayStation 5 Slim Disc Edition gaming console for just $317.86. The 30% discount should be automatically applied at the last step of checkout before you place your order. "Like New" items are usually brand new and never used with damage to the packaging but not to the contents themselves. You still get the 30-day Amazon return policy.

PlayStation Slim (Used: Like New) for $317.86

The PS5 Slim was released in November 2023. Compared to the original PlayStation 5 console, it's 30% smaller in volume and 18% lighter. The design is a bit different too; the console is now clad in four separate cover panels, the two top halves are glossy white and the bottom halves are matte like the original. The specs under the hood are identical. Like the original PS5, the PS5 Slim can be upgraded with an M.2 SSD. The only difference between the Disc and Digital editions is the presence of an optical drive to accommodate physical media like game discs and 4K Blu-ray movies.

The Kindle Paperwhite Deal for Prime Day 2025 Is So Good I Might Buy Another One

I was originally against buying a Kindle. I already had an iPad and that worked perfectly fine as a reading tablet. But then my family bought me a Kindle Paperwhite for Christmas last year and I haven't been able to go back. The paper-like display makes it feel more like you're reading an actual physical book and the adjustable backlight is wonderful for reading in bed at night. Now that I've experienced the reading experience for myself, I highly recommend it to any fellow binge-readers out there.

Like all of the newer Kindle models, the Paperwhite is a fairly expensive purchase to make without a significant discount. Amazon doesn't have good Kindle deals very often, so seeing this model down to its lowest price ever for Prime Day is noteworthy. It's a great price and despite already owning one, I'm tempted to pick one up to give as a gift during the holiday season.

The Kindle Paperwhite Drops to a New Low Price for Prime Day

Like I mentioned above, this is the lowest price we've ever seen for the newest Paperwhite. The last time this Kindle was discounted this heavily was during Black Friday last year, but this price is even lower than that. As the latest model, it comes with a larger 7-inch display. Compared to the standard Kindle, it's bigger, faster, and an overall better reading experience. My wife has the regular Kindle and whenever I've used it I've always been dissatisfied with the smaller screen. If you have enough money to spring for the more expensive Paperwhite during this sale, I recommend doing so.

In addition to the e-reader itself, you can also opt in to a 3-month free trial of Kindle Unlimited with your purchase. You don't have to try it out, but it is an overall great service if you're someone who reads a lot of books. I personally read 3-5 books (usually LitRPG) each month and they are almost always included with my monthly subscription.

You should probably also get a cover

While you can certainly use any Kindle without a cover, I do recommend you get one. All of the newer models feature an automatic sleep mode that only activates if you have a compatible cover to close when you're done reading. The official case works great if you want to pick that one up, but there are a few other Paperwhite covers I'd recommend as well. I've featured all of these above.

More Prime Day Book Deals

In addition to a variety of other Prime Day Kindle deals Amazon has available right now, there are also discounts on physical books. Most notably, there's a massive buy 2, get 1 free book sale happening right now that is absolutely worth taking advantage of. Here are some of the best deals included in that Prime Day promotion.

Alienware Just Dropped the Best Budget Gaming Laptop Deal for Amazon Prime Day

Alienware's new mainstream gaming laptop for 2025 is dubbed the "Alienware Aurora" and comes in two 16" models: the 16 and 16X. As part of its Black Friday in July Sale, Dell has dropped the price of the Alienware Aurora 16 gaming laptop equipped with an GeForce RTX 5060 mobile GPU for just $1,099.99 with free delivery. That is a big $400 discount from its official launch price and currently the best deal I can find on an RTX 5060 equipped laptop from any brand and any retailer. If you're specifically looking for a gaming laptop at the $1,100 or below price point, you'd be hard pressed to find a better deal during Amazon Prime Day.

Alienware Aurora 16 RTX 5060 Gaming Laptop for $1,099.99

The Alienware Aurora 16 is equipped with a 16" 2560x1600 120Hz IPS display, Intel Core 7 (Series 2) 240H processor, GeForce RTX 5060 GPU, 32GB of DDR5-5600MHz RAM, and a 1TB M.2 SSD. The Intel Core 7 Series 2 240H is an energy efficient CPU with a max turbo frequency of 5.2GHz with 10 cores. It's paired with an RTX 5060 GPU. The RTX 5060 is about 15%-20% more powerful than the RTX 4060 that replaces, making it a perfectly capable GPU for most games at up to 1600p. It approaches the performance of the RTX 4070 and overtakes it in games that support DLSS 4 with multi-frame generation. At a sticker price of $1,100, you'd bet won't find another laptop with a better GPU.

Compared to other Alienware laptops, the Aurora 16 is designed to look less like a gamer's laptop. It boasts a sleek, understated design with the absence of extraneous visual-only embellishments or unnecessary RGB lighting outside of the keyboard's white-only illumination. It's also priced more affordably than the higher powered Alienware 16X and Alienware 16 Area-51 laptops which trade a larger footprint and higher weight for more cooling potential and thus higher performance. For gamers that don't have a strict budget and value maximum performance for the price, this is definitely a gaming laptop worth considering.

Check out more Alienware Black Friday in July deals

Alienware is a brand I would recommend for anyone looking for a quality gaming laptop. Alienware laptops feature solid build quality, top-of-the-line gaming performance, and excellent cooling (further improved on the newer models). Best of all, there are plenty of sales that happen throughout the year, so it's not difficult to find a good deal.

DC Studios Co-CEO James Gunn Says Rumors That Superman Needs to Make $700M at the Box Office to Be Successful Are 'Just Complete and Utter Nonsense'

With Superman set to kick off the rebooted DC Universe for Warner Bros., clearly there is a lot riding on its box office performance. But for writer and director James Gunn, rumors surrounding exactly how much money it needs to make in order to be considered successful are wide of the mark.

In a profile of Superman actor David Corenswet published on GQ, Gunn downplayed the box office pressure on the movie, due out July 11. “This is not the riskiest endeavor in the world,” Gunn said.

Gunn then called the $700 million figure that has been touted online as the minimum Superman needs to make during its theatrical run to avoid flop status as “just complete and utter nonsense,” but admitted there is of course some pressure on the movie to deliver for Warner Bros.

“Is there something riding on it? Yeah, but it’s not as big as people make it out to be,” Gunn said. “They hear these numbers that the movie’s only going to be successful if it makes 700 million or something and it’s just complete and utter nonsense. It doesn’t need to be as big of a situation as people are saying.”

We likely won’t get an accurate picture of Superman’s performance until Warner Bros. boss David Zaslav has his say during a financial call, but it’s easy to see why there’s more box office pressure on Superman than your average superhero film.

It is, after all, kickstarting Gunn and fellow DC Studios CEO Peter Safran’s rebooted DCU, which already has a number of eye-catching follow-ups in the works. For example, Superman leads into the events of HBO series Peacemaker Season 2. Then, next year, the DCU continues on the big screen with Supergirl starring Milly Alcock and Clayface starring Tom Rhys Harries. If Superman flops, it will call into question the viability of everything that follows.

Gunn is of course doing the rounds promoting Superman, and has plenty to say about the movie. Gunn has said he's well aware some people will take offense at his new Superman movie "just because it is about kindness." He also joined forces with Zack Snyder for a surprise cameo on the latest episode of Rick and Morty to jokingly mock each others’ takes on Superman.

Tons of Classic Disney Movies Are Included in Amazon's Buy 2, Get 1 Free Prime Day Sale

I currently have a Disney+ subscription, but it's only thanks to the price I can get with the Hulu and Max bundle deal. The convenience of being able to stream any Disney movie I could ever want instantly is great, but it hasn't stopped me from building my own little physical media collection just in case. That way, if I ever need to unsubscribe from the service I'll still have some of my favorite childhood movies around for my son to watch when he's older.

This Prime Day promotion makes it an excellent time to build your own movie collection. There is a giant list of DVDs and Blu-rays you can browse and choose three and only pay the price for two. Although I've focused on the Disney movies featured in this sale, there's a much broader array of films in the sale worth checking out. All you need to do is add three to your cart and get the cheapest one for free at checkout.

Disney Movies Are Buy 2, Get 1 Free at Amazon

If you're looking for 4K or Blu-ray versions in this sale, there are plenty available. Unfortunately none of them are Disney movies. There are a bunch of DVDs in the sale, however, and the deal is good enough that I decided to take advantage of it myself. The one standout inclusion here is the Toy Story Collection, which includes all four of the films. With Toy Story 5 on the way, this is a great place to start if you want to get as many movies as possible.

Outside of that Pixar collection, there is a pretty wide spread of some of the best animated Disney movies ever made. There are the classic classics, like Cinderella and Beauty and the Beast, as well as the more recent classics like an Extremely Goofy Movie and Lilo and Stitch. With the exception of Toy Story, all of the movies I've listed are also discounted. So with the right picks you could get three movies for around $17 here.

My top picks from this sale are the 90s Disney movies that really contributed to my own childhood. I picked up Mulan, Aladdin, and The Lion King. Aladdin is my all time favorite Disney movie, but the only copy I have is a beat-up purchase from a Blockbuster video years ago. It was time to get a replacement.

Can Blu-ray players play DVDs?

If you don't happen to have an old DVD player, you may be wondering whether or not your Blu-ray player will be able to play these discs. The answer is yes, Blu-ray players can indeed play DVDs just fine. This means you'll also be able to play these movies if you own a PS5 or Xbox Series X console with a disc drive. The only real issues with compatibility arise between Blu-ray and 4K formats if your player isn't new enough to play the upscaled resolution.

The Best Buy Black Friday in July Sale Is Now Live Ahead of Amazon Prime Day

While Fourth of July discounts just wrapped up, an even better sale has gone live today, in the form of the Best Buy Black Friday in July sale. This sale is set to act as a competitor to Amazon Prime Day, which begins this week as well. If you're looking to save on the latest electronics, Black Friday in July is a sale you'll want to check out.

Shop the Best Buy Black Friday in July Sale

Right now, there are deals live across video games, accessories, laptops, Apple products, appliances, cell phones, headphones, and more. The best deals we've seen so far mostly fall under video games, with $20 off some major Nintendo Switch games now available. One of our favorites is Splatoon 3 for $39.99, especially considering the game just received a Nintendo Switch 2 patch.

There's also over $200 in savings on the Lenovo Legion Go S. This handheld PC packs in the Ryzen Z2 Go, 32GB of LPDDR5X memory, 1TB of PCIe Gen4 SSD storage, and room for expansion with a 1TB microSD card slot. That's not to mention the 8" screen equipped with VRR, a 120Hz refresh rate, a 500 nit peak brightness, and more.

Finally, a four pack of AirTags is sitting at a new all-time low sale price. These are incredibly helpful for finding your wallet, purse, bag, or even pet! This deal puts each AirTag at $17, which is significantly lower than the $29.99 asking price for a single unit normally.

Best Buy Is Offering a Great Deal on One of the Coolest Prebuilt Gaming PCs I've Seen (It's Powerful Too)

As part of its Black Friday in July Sale, Best Buy is offering a tempting deal on one of the best looking prebuilt gaming PCs I've seen. Right now you can pick up a Cyberpowerpc Gamer Supreme Gaming PC equipped with a Radeon RX 9070 XT GPU for $1,784.99 shipped after a $165 instant discount. This is already a competitive price point for a gaming PC equipped with the Radeon RX 9070 XT GPU and would be an excellent option for comfortable gaming at up to 4K resolution. However, what really sets this prebuilt apart from others is that it's housed in a Phanteks Evolv X2s chassis, which was one of the cooler cases to come out of CES 2025.

Cyberpowerpc Gamer Supreme RX 9070 XT PC for $1785

The Cyberpowerpc Gamer Supreme is equipped with an AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D CPU, Radeon RX 9070 XT GPU, 32GB of DDR5-6000MHz RAM, and a 2TB PCIe 4 M.2 SSD. The AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D has an established reputation of being one of the best gaming CPUs available. And despite the fact that it was released back in 2023 and has been replaced by the newer Ryzen 9 98000X3D, it is still a highly recommended gaming CPU that won't bottleneck your graphics card.

The Radeon RX 9070 XT Received a 10/10 at IGN

We rated the AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT a "perfect" 10/10. Even though it costs $150 less than the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Ti, the 9070 XT beats it out in several of the games we tested. In a few benchmarks, the results aren't even close. The 9070 XT is also comparable in performance to the older $1,000 RX 7900 XTX but with better ray tracing and upscaling performance than its predecessor. It does lose out on VRAM (16GB vs 24GB), but that isn't really an issue for gaming.

The Phanteks X2 Was a Showstopper at CES 2025

The Phanteks Evolv X2 was one of the coolest looking cases to come out of CES 2025 and this is the first time I've seen it incorporated in a readily available prebuilt gaming PC. The actual case used is the X2s which is a sligtly modified model reserved for system builders. It's a hefty midtower chassis with a panoramic tempered glass design that makes it look like the motherboard is suspended in the air. It's definitely not for cramped spaces but this case looks amazing and offers good cooling potential and future upgradeability.

LEGO Star Wars Sets Are Already Discounted at Amazon for Prime Day

Amazon's Prime Day 2025 sale doesn't officially begin until tomorrow, but there are already dozens of deals to take advantage of before the sale fully kicks off. You can get all kinds of LEGO sets on sale, and some of the more popular LEGO Star Wars sets are all 20% off right now. All you have to do to qualify for these prices is be a Prime member, and if you're not already all you have to do is sign up for a free trial.

LEGO Star Wars Sets Are on Sale Ahead of Prime Day

Except for the sweet C-3PO set, all of these are under $100. They make great gifts and look great on bookshelves.

LEGO Star Wars Darth Vader Bust

This Darth Vader buildable bust is a pretty faithful recreation of its on-screen counterpart. Coming in at 834 pieces, it's a deceptively beefy build and will probably take around two hours to finish in one sitting. It stands over 8in. high and comes with a sweet display plaque.

LEGO Star Wars C-3PO Buildable Figure

This is one of the most intricately detailed LEGO Star Wars models we've had in awhile. It stands over 15in. tall and is made up of 1,138, making one of the biggest Star Wars sets you can get. The level of detail is impressive, from his discolored leg to his pose, and would look great with the R2-D2 set coming up next.

LEGO Star Wars R2-D2

I've had this on my LEGO want list since it first released, and now might be the perfect time. It's not the first or only to-scale R2-D2 LEGO set we've had, but it's far, far and away the best. It's comprised of 1,050 pieces, is 9in. tall, and comes with a Darth Malak minifigure for some reason.

LEGO Star Wars Millennium Falcon 25th Anniversary Edition

Star Wars ships are no stranger to getting LEGO-fied, and the Millennium Falcon is one set I always keep my eyes peeled for whenever they announce a new one. This 25th Anniversary version is one of the most detailed small-scale iterations of the Corellian freighter we've seen thus far. It's 921 pieces, the perfect amount to build while you have A New Hope on in the background.

What to Expect from Samsung Unpacked in July 2025

Samsung is getting ready to unfold an updated smartphone portfolio on Wednesday, July 9th, at 10AM ET / 7am PT. The biggest thing coming, at least if the rumor mill has things nailed down right, will be a smattering of new foldables, and of course, Galaxy AI features. Wouldn’t be a big tech event without AI these days, right?

As for the event itself, you can watch it live on YouTube or at Samsung’s newsroom. And if you’re ready to go no matter what, Samsung will happily take money from you now to reserve whatever it announces.

Samsung Hinges Its Bets?

Samsung is heading into its seventh generation of folding devices this month, and we expect to see its lineup refreshed with three – or maybe even four – such devices when all is said and done. Look for a new Galaxy Z Fold 7, Z Flip 7, and Z Flip 7 FE, some new Galaxy Watches, and the possible tease or announcement of a double-hinged Galaxy foldable, a first for Samsung.

Of the updates to Samsung’s existing lineup, the biggest improvements may be coming to the Z Fold 7, or what Samsung could call the Galaxy Z Fold Ultra. Roland Quandt, who frequently leaks details about unreleased smartphones, showed what he claimed were official marketing materials on Monday, which say the phone will have a 6.5-inch exterior screen, with an interior one that unfolds to 8 inches. The new version of the book-style foldable will be Samsung’s thinnest yet, just 4.2mm thick when unfolded or 8.9mm when folded up (versus 5.6mm and 12.1mm in the Z Fold 6, respectively), according to the materials Quandt shared.

The Z Flip 7 is expected to get its own revamp versus last year’s clamshell model, with an outer 4-inch display that now spans the entirety of the top panel, minus the areas where the cameras and flash punch through. You can see what that looks like over at Sammobile, which posted screenshots from a leaked hands-on of the Z Flip 7. Inside, the phone is expected to have a 6.9-inch display, up from 6.7 inches in last year’s phone. The outlet notes that although rumors have suggested Samsung shaved off some of this phone’s thickness, too, it’s hard to tell from the images if that’s true.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE will be the first time the company has released a clamshell foldable in its budget-friendly FE line. According to more marketing materials that Quandt shared on Monday, this model will come in black and white options, feature the same overall design and specs as the Z Fold 6, a phone that IGN’s own Jacqueline Thomas was pretty fond of in her review.

Finally, Android Authority uncovered some animation files last week inside Samsung’s One UI 8 software that hint at a new wrinkle: a new Galaxy device with dual, inward-folding hinges. The files Android Authority discovered call the phone the “Multifold7,” although it could also be called the Galaxy G Fold when Samsung officially reveals it. Don’t look for Samsung to release that phone just yet, though. Like the Galaxy Ring and the Samsung Galaxy Edge before it, the company could easily briefly tease the phone, or stick it on a look-but-don’t-touch pedestal.

The Massive 4TB Crucial P310 PS5 SSD Gets an Equally Massive Price Cut for Amazon Prime Day

As part of the Prime Day Sale event, Amazon is offering the best price I've seen this year for a high-speed 4TB SSD from a reputable brand. Right now you can pick up a Crucial P310 4TB PCIe 4.0 M.2 NVMe Solid State Drive with pre-installed heatsink for just $234.99 with free delivery. The Crucial P310 is a newer (late-2024) release. This is a DRAM-less QLC-based SSD that fulfills all of the PS5 storage requirements - including fast transfer speeds - and comes with a pre-attached heatsink so that is is drop-in ready.

4TB Crucial P310 SSD (PS5 Compatible) for $234.99

The P310 is very fast for a "budget" M.2 SSD. This is a PCI-E 4x4 drive with transfer speeds of up to 7,1000MB/s read and 6,000MB/s write, which passes Sony's recommended minimum requirement of 5,5000MB/s. To save costs, the Crucial P310 doesn't have onboard DRAM, and instead uses HMB, or onboard system memory for buffering. For most people (including PS5 gamers), the performance difference is imperceptible. Another cost cutting measure is that it uses the newest QLC flash memory instead of TCL. TLC has longer endurance than QLC but the Crucial P310 4TB model has a whopping 800TBW rating. There is almost no chance that you can hit that limit on a PS5 console, since the only time you'll be transferring any file size of significance is when you're installing a new game.

Performance and feature-wise, the Crucial P310 is similar to other popular SSDs like the Samsung Evo Plus and the WD Black SN7100, however Crucial's 4TB model is the least expensive of the three options, especially with the heatsink pre-attached. With games taking up as much as 100GB of space apiece, it's very easy to max out the PS5's stock 1TB storage, and it's not unheard of to max out an additional 2TB of space. Add 4TB and never look back.

The best PS5 SSDs you can buy in 2025

Over the past few console generations with built-in storage, gamers were typically stuck with however much storage that came with the console. With the PS5, Sony made a surprising move by including an internal M.2 PCIe slot to install an off-the-shelf SSD to supplement the internal storage. Given that this is the same company that paired the PS Vita and PSP with ludicrously expensive memory cards, this was a welcoming change of pace, especially given the paltry 825GB of storage you have to work with. Now, you can install high-end PC SSDs like the Corsair MP600 Pro LPX, our number one pick, to load even more games nearly as fast as the extra-special drive that's built into the console itself.

Walmart Is Selling Apple AirPods Pro 2 for Just $149 Today, Beating the Previous Best Deal by $20

If you’ve been holding out on buying a pair of AirPods, now’s the time to strike, because Apple’s latest earbuds are in the middle of a retail price war as Prime Day and its rival sales kick off.

Amazon and Walmart are duking it out, and that means steep discounts across the board on every major AirPods model, including the best-in-class Apple AirPods Pro 2.

The second-generation AirPods Pro have dropped to $149 (down from $249), offering serious value for some of the best noise-canceling earbuds on the market. That's $20 less than the next best price Amazon had recently, and the lowest price we've ever seen on the best wireless earbuds for iPhone users.

Walmart+ members were granted early access starting on July 7 at 7 p.m. ET, giving them a head start on the biggest discounts and limited stock items, such as the best-ever deal on Apple AirPods Pro 2.

Walmart+ is currently 50% off, just in time for the sale, bringing it down to just $49 for the full year. But, just to remind you again, you won't need the membership once the sale kicks off properly on July 8, this is just to access the big doorbuster discounts before anyone else.

But the early deal didn't last so long, as Amazon price-matched the AirPods Pro 2 deal once its Prime Day sale kicked off. There's also a selection of other AirPod and other Apple deals you can check out today as well.

AirPods Pro 2 vs AirPods 4 with ANC: Which Should You Buy?

If you can stretch to the Pro model, it’s worth it. The AirPods Pro 2 offer better sound, more effective noise canceling, and adjustable in-ear tips for a more secure fit and proper audio seal.

Featuring Apple’s H2 chip, a refined driver and amp setup, and in-ear passive isolation, they remain the top pick for iPhone users. You’ll also get useful features like Adaptive Transparency Mode and Conversation Mode, plus a MagSafe case and USB-C charging.

The AirPods 4 with ANC are more comfortable for some due to their open-ear design, but that also means more sound leakage and less isolation, despite sharing the same H2 chip.

With the price gap now just $20, the Pro model easily justifies the jump unless you strongly prefer the open fit.

Walmart+ Members Just Got a Surprise Switch 2 Restock Before Prime Day

Amazon Prime Day officially kicks off tomorrow, but Walmart is starting the party with new deals only Walmart+ members can access before tomorrow. In addition to those early deals, Walmart is also dropping something Amazon has yet to have any of: Switch 2 stock. The latest Nintendo console has been particularly hard to find since it first came out back in June and Amazon has yet to offer it to customers at all.

It's unclear how long the Switch 2 console bundle will be available, but only Walmart+ members can currently get access to what is in stock.

Walmart Switch 2 Restock Today

As of right now, the Switch 2 bundle with Mario Kart World appears to be in stock and available. Early access to the Walmart Deals sale officially began at 4PM PT / 7PM PT for anyone with a Walmart+ subscription, which is a full eight hours before the sale opens up to everyone else. The last time Walmart restocked Switch 2 consoles as an early access perk they were completely cleaned out before a full hour had passed. So if you're thinking you can avoid picking up a Walmart+ membership to buy one, you're probably out of luck.

What does a Walmart+ Membership include?

If you don't already have a Walmart+ subscription but want a Switch 2, the good news is that you can actually get it for free. Walmart offers a free 30-day trial of its service for new subscribers. The bad news is, you will likely need to upgrade to a paid account to actually buy the Switch 2, rendering the free trial moot. There are a lot of benefits to the service that make it worth buying into, though. Most notably, Walmart+ is bundled with Paramount+. You'll also get free grocery delivery from your local store, as well as free shipping on anything with no order minimum.

If you want to learn more about Walmart+ before you pick up a free trial, you can take a look at our in-depth explainer of everything the service offers. Walmart+ members will get early access to Walmart's competing Prime Day sale in July is even more reason to test the service out yourself. This ale includes discounts that you won't find on Amazon, like new AirPods at record-low prices.

I write about deals for a living, so here's the 72 best Prime Day 2025 discounts I recommend buying

After weeks of build-up, Amazon Prime Day 2025 is here at last with tons of great deals across gaming, tech, Blu-rays, appliances, and more.

Although this is a four-day event spread across July 8-11, a multitude of unique offers drop each day, making it worth coming back to see what's on offer.

TL;DR - Best Prime Day 2025 Deals in the UK

Even at the start of Prime Day, there are some unmissable deals you won't want to miss out on, whether you just want to catch up on games, upgrade to a new air fryer, or snag a cheeky and cheap 4K movie.

Throughout the week, we'll be scouring the entirety of all the new deals releasing, so keep this buyer's guide bookmarked to keep you informed without having to look through all of Amazon yourself this Prime Day.

3 Months of Audible for Free for Prime Day

Throughout July, Audible is offering Amazon Prime members free three months of its Premium Plus audiobook subscription, instead of its £8.99 rate. Even at its non-Prime member offer rate of £0.99 per month for those three, it's still a stellar deal if you're needing to catch up on reading but don't have time to sit and read an actual book.

We've already written up other guides on the ten best fiction audiobooks and five best non-fiction audiobooks to try, but there are thousands of others you can peruse and preview as well.

Video Game Deals for Prime Day

We've already seen the occasional Xbox controller sale since Microsoft bumped up the prices in early May, but the huge amounts off the Pulse Cipher Special Edition and Blue Elite Controller are some of the best gaming discounts I've seen so far.

Then there's Silent Hill 2 on PS5, now only £34.99 from its original £59.99 RRP after launching last October.

Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition going for £29.99 is another big winner, since you get both the full base game and the Phantom Liberty DLC all in one package. Elden Ring going for £23.99 is also a nice grab, but you shouldn't overlook the new bargain price of the Meta Quest 3S for £249.99 if you've been fancying the best way to get into VR gaming.

Apple Deals for Prime Day

Apple isn't usually a slouch when it comes to decent deals during sales, and Prime Day is no different. The big highlight is on the Apple Series 10 smart watches, with the 42mm SKUs down to their lowest-ever price at £295.

If you're after a new Apple laptop, though, the 2025 Macbooks are also £150 off each. The three best ones on sale have various specs, but you'll get that same level of saving no matter which model you get.

Garmin Smartwatch Deals for Prime Day

If you're after a non-Apple smartwatch, Amazon have got a solid range of Garmin smartwatches on sale as well. Garmin has a wide selection depending on your needs in terms of features, but the largest deak is on the fenix 7X PRO with solar charging, advanced training features, and up to 37 hours battery life.

Nevertheless, even the lowest-priced on sale at £166 are premium-quality fitness trackers in their own right, making any well worth the investment.

Tablet & Laptop (Windows) Deals for Prime Day

HP, Samsung, and Lenovo each have nice deals on their tablets and Windows laptops that are priced low and ready for either the professional on the go or anyone just needing an extra screen at home.

Nintendo Switch 2 Accessory Deals for Prime Day

There are tons of third-party accessory makers bringing out Nintendo Switch 2 cases since the console came out in June, but tomtoc's line of high-quality slim cases are among the best-regarded which sell out quickly too. With their white and blue SKUS having over £3 taken off their price tags, we'd expect them to go even faster.

If you need something heftier to store all your other gear, though, the larger carrying case is a great alternative. The ivolver brand pack of screen protectors on offer too is a recommended must if you haven't bought any already.

SSD Deals for Prime Day

New internal SSDs are must for any PS5 or PC gamer trying to get their rig ready for the constantly evolving file size of your average triple-A game, and both Samsung and WD have gone above and beyond with chopping good amounts off various models.

Although, I'd recommend PlayStation 5 owners to grab with Samsung 990 Pro with a heatsink since you'll get added value and a far easier installation. For those shifting games and large files on the go, though, SanDisk's portable SSD is another good deal.

Gaming Monitor Deals for Prime Day

Amazon has dropped a huge range of top-rate gaming monitor deals from different brands for Prime Day. Whether you're after for something budget-friendly from MSI or a curved 34-inch Samsung monitor, there's something for every gamer wanting to perfect their set-up.

Headphones Deals for Prime Day

As a longtime owner of the Sony WH-1000XM4 myself, I can't recommend the £51 off Prime Day deal on these enough, since I bought them almost four years ago and are still my go-to wireless headphones day-to-day.

On the other hand, the WH-1000XM5 being on offer for £219 at £81 off makes for a good reason to upgrade, since our Kevin Lee gave them a 9/10 in our 2022 IGN review.

Still, the Bose QuietComfort SC headphones, on offer for £180 at 38% off, are a step up too, enough to earn a spot on our list of the best headphones and earburds from the popular audio brand.

4K Blu-Ray, Blu-Ray & DVD Deals for Prime Day

Amazon can be a stickler for sales on entertainment and films sometimes, but this Prime Day has seen some proper good deals, like the entire Star Trek: The Next Generation series on Blu-ray going for 50% off. The Last of Us Season 1 at just over £17 is another respectable buy for a physical media collection.

One of my personal favourites, though, is the Top Gun double pack on 4K Blu-Ray being dropped to £19.99, making it so you're paying less than £10 each for two first-rate movies. Another is 51% off the Smile 2-Movie Collection, a must-buy for horror aficionados.

Air Fryer Deals for Prime Day

Air fryers is still one of the finest new ways to make cooking quicker and easier, and Ninja is still the ideal brand that makes shopping a Prime Day sale worth it. Along with the standard side-by-side dual chamber models, alternatives like the vertical Double Stack XL model, make it so you've got more bargains to choose from the fit various kitchen spaces.

For barbeque fans, the 7-in-1 fryer grill and air fryer is a fun outdoor alternative on sale at 23% off.

Microwave Deals for Prime Day

26% off this 20 litre Russel Hobbs microwave for Prime Day's a great opportunity to kit your kitchen out with a name brand microwave that will get the job done for longer. With eight cooking modes, five power levels, and now only £66.50, this a nice and sleek-looking go-to.

Coffee Machine Deals for Prime Day

Any coffee fans who've always wanted to invest a little to make their morning brews taste better than ever, Breville's and De'Longhi's bean-to-cup machines up to 35% off make it so you can't go wrong.

Vacuum Cleaner Deals for Prime Day

Robot vacuum cleaners have increasingly been becoming all the rage with their abiility to make household sweeping easier. eufy is one of the most reliable brands going, with Prime Day deals covering models of different price ranges.

Iron & Steam Cleaner Deals for Prime Day

To further bolster your cleaning arsenal with top brands, you've got either the Russel Hobbs Supreme steam iron for everyday ironing on a budget, or the Philips PerfectCare Elite if you want those extra bells and whistles.

For pure steam cleaning, though, you cannot go wrong with Karcher's offer on the EasyFix machine.

Bathroom & Other Kitchen Deals for Prime Day

To take your teeth cleaning to the next level, the Oral-B Pro 3 Electric Toothbrish, and a four-pack of replacable heads, are each on sale so you can get both for less than £67.

At 71% off, the Remington Shine Therapy Hair Straightener is another one of the biggest discounts we've seen this Prime Day so far yet.

Home Supply Deals for Prime Day

If you're running low on cleaning supplies or just want a restock, these deals on Ariel pods, Fairy non-bio pods, and Calgon Power tabs, Fairy non-bio pods are pretty exceptional, all up to 53% off. All of these above may take up a bit of space in your storage cupboard, but we love a good set of deals where you can save more by buying in bulk.

Amazon Has Lord of the Rings Illustrated Editions on Sale With a Freebie for Buying the Whole Set

Ahead of Prime Day tomorrow, Amazon has dozens of books, movies, toys, and more already on sale. You can also get 3 books for the price of 2 on qualifying items thanks to an early promotion. One of the books included in this sale is the Lord of the Rings Illustrated Edition, which is currently sitting at a nice 47% discount. This edition makes a great gift for any Middle-Earth fan, and a handful of other versions of the LotR trilogy, the Hobbit, and the Silmarillion are included in this promotion if you want the full set.

To take full advantage of the sale, you'll need to add all three of these illustrated editions to your cart and Amazon will drop the price of the least expensive one. So in this case you'd be getting the Silmarillion for free with your purchase.

Lord of the Rings Illustrated Editions on Sale at Amazon

All of the Lord of the Rings illustrated editions are included in the sale, but it's the collection of Fellowship of the Ring, Two Towers, and Return of the King that is the easiest to recommend. It is a 1,248-page collection of the iconic fantasy saga and features over 30 color illustrations and sketches from J.R.R. Tolkien himself. It also includes two full size fold-out maps by his son Christopher Tolkien, exploring the layout of Middle-Earth in great detail. This oversized tome is hardcover with a premium feeling gray and gold slip cover, and the page ends are printed in red with Elvish text across its length.

As an added bonus, pages from the Book of Mazarbul are included, which are a great companion when you reach one of the most popular chapters in the book, the Bridge of Khazad-dûm. If you haven't had the chance to read The Lord of the Rings yet, I highly recommend it with this edition. Then, you can catch up on Prime Video's Rings of Power before season 3 releases... eventually.

In our review of Rings of Power season 2, which IGN's Samanthan Nelson gave a six overall, stating "The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Season 2 offers some dramatic action and deep pathos, but is dragged down by extraneous plots and characters."

The Lord of the Rings movies are also included in the sale

In addition to the Lord of the Rings books included in this sale, you could also opt to add the movies to your puchase. There are a ton of 4K Blu-ray movies included in the 3 for 2 sale going on right now, and Peter Jackson's tirlogy is included here.

Bose Has a Better Price on the QuietComfort Ultra Noise Canceling Headphones Than Amazon for Prime Day

If you're looking for the best price on a pair of Bose's flagship noise canceling headphones, surprisingly it won't be an Amazon Prime Day deal. Right now, Bose via eBay is offering the certified refurbished Bose QuietComfort Ultra Noise Canceling Wireless Headphones for just $263.20 after you apply a 20% off coupon code "JULYFINDS" in your shopping cart. As a comparison, a brand new pair would run you $429. You'd be saving 40% off the retail price and you even get an extended 2 year All-State warranty. The Ultra is Bose's latest and greatest noise cancelling headphone and goes toe-to-toe with Sony's equally expensive Sony WH-1000XM6 headphones.

Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones for $263.20

Factory refurbished with 2-year extended warranty

The QuietComfort Ultra is Bose's newest noise-cancelling headphone, released in late 2023. It is a significant upgrade over the standard QuietComfort headphones in audio and noise-cancelling performance and is easily comparable to other current heavyweights like the Sony WH-1000XM5/XM6 and the AirPods Max. The Ultra features redesigned ear cushions that are both more comfortable and provide a more secure seal, resulting in better passive noise isolation. It also supports spatial audio for better immersion, and it's updated with the new Bluetooth 5.3 protocol. Android users can rejoice in the fact that the Ultra supports Snapdragon Sound, a feature that offers optimized sound quality, connection stability, and latency for your streaming audio when the headphone is connected to an Android device.

Other features include an "Aware" mode that picks up ambient noises and amplifies them so that you can listen in on the outside world without having to take off your headphones, a respectable 24 hours of battery life on a single charge, an updated USB Type-C port, Bluetooth multipoint for simultaneous pairing with up to two devices, and a dual-hinge design that enables the headphones to fold up and flat for easier portability,

Looking for more alternatives? Although I don't think there will be a better deal for these specific headphones, there will certainly be other brands and models on sale during Amazon Prime Day. If you prefer to wait and see, in the meantime check out our favorite noise-cancelling headphones of 2024 or, if you want to stick with the Bose brand, see which Bose headphone or earbud is right for you.

Target Is Offering Mega Savings on Pokémon Toys and Games Today, and the More You Buy, the More You Save

Amazon's Prime Day deals are finally here (although it's a week of deals this time around) but Target won't be outdone with its Circle Week deals which kicked off on Sunday and offers some great deals on Pokémon toys and games.

Target is offering a whole host of figures in its "Spend $40, save $10" promotion, meaning you can save on Pokémon toys the more you buy, with figures of all sizes included.

From action figures to Squishmallows, there are a ton of Pokémon products to choose from, with the option to get a couple of the poseable, articulated 6-inch figures for around $30, or even the Target-exclusive set that includes Pikachu, Charmander, Bulbasaur, and Squirtle.

Here’s what’s included.

Pokémon Toys are Cheaper when You Buy More at Target

Look, we don’t make the rules, but is Mega-Charizard not the coolest-looking version of the iconic first-gen ‘Mon? Its 6-inch figure, with display stand, is a Target exclusive and included.

Another Target exclusive, and another fiery stage 3 evolution is Cinderace, which comes with its own display stand and articulated joints for wannabe Pokemon trainers.

Rounding out the 6-inch offerings are Golisopod and Zeraora and guess what? They’re Target exclusive, too.

No matter how far the franchise grows, there will always be those of us who remember its relatively humble beginnings. For those nostalgia lovers, there’s a four-pack of 4-inch figures that includes Pikachu, Charmander, Bulbasaur and Squirtle, although they aren't poseable.

There’s also a 2-inch collection that packs fan-favorite Pokemon like Alakazam, Geodude and Mimikyu, along with seven others, for $34.99.

Away from figures, you can find the 20-inch Eevee Jumbo Plush included.

Finally, if you or someone in your family is looking to get into the Pokemon Trading Card Game (and who isn’t?), you can snag the excellent Battle Academy starter set as part of the deal, too.

It includes a playmat, counters, and coin, as well as three mini-decks to get you started. The Pikachu, Armarouge and Darkrai decks all come with play guides to help learn the mechanics of each, too.

HP Is Clearing Out Its Stock of Omen RTX 4090 Gaming PCs at an Incredible Price

HP is clearing out its remaining inventory of GeForce RTX 4090 GPUs by offering it as an upgrade for one of its prebuilt computers. As part of the Black Friday in July sale event ahead of Prime Day, HP is offering its flagship HP Omen 45L gaming PC configured with a GeForce RTX 4090 GPU for just $2,463.99 after you apply a 20% off coupon code "LEVELUP20". Although the RTX 4090 is a discontinued, previous generation model, it is still the second most powerful graphic card currently available. It's considerably more powerful than the new Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 and the AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT.

HP Omen 45L RTX 4090 Gaming PC for $2,463.99

Follow these directions to get this price:

  • Upgrade the graphics card to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 for $1,050
  • Proceed to shopping cart and apply 20% off code "LEVELUP20"
  • Price should drop to $2,463.99 with free shipping (taxes extra)

The OMEN 45L is HP's roomiest chassis with plenty of cooling in the form of four 120mm fans for system airflow and an additional 240mm all-in-one liquid cooling solution for the CPU. It's also equipped with a massive 1,000-watt 80Plus Gold power supply with ATX 3.1 specification, Intel Core Ultra 7 265K Arrow Lake-S processor, 16GB of Kingston FURY XMP-certified DDR5 RGB memory modules, and a 1TB WD Black M.2 NVme SSD. The chassis itself looks great with its blend of steel and smoked tempered glass and RGB lighting and certainly exudes a very premium feel.

The RTX 4090 is still the second most powerful GPU currently available. In his RTX 4090 review, Chris Coke wrote that "The RTX 4090 may be huge and expensive, but holy smokes if it doesn’t blow the competition out of the water... Until the rest of the pack can catch up, between its impressive hardware specs and its DLSS 3 AI wizardry, even the $1,599 price doesn’t seem unreasonable for the unrivaled frame rates that this card can crank out." You'll be able to run any game in 4K with ultra settings and ray tracing enabled and still pump out high framerates, even the newest, most demanding titles like Stellar Blade, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, or Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. The 4090 is also the consumer card of choice for AI thanks to its 24GB of GDDR6X VRAM. Of course the new RTX 5090 is a better GPU, but you'll have to pay at least $1,000 more to equip your system with one of those. For most people, it's complete overkill.

Live-Action Superman Movies Ranked Worst to Best and Where to Watch Them

James Gunn's hotly-anticipated Superman leaps into multiplexes with a single bound this week, bringing us new versions of Clark Kent, Lois Lane, Lex Luthor, Jimmy Olsen, and a general hope for humanity.

Side-stepping the origin story, and set in a world already populated with superheroes and villains, Superman is the first feature film in DC Studios' new Gods and Monsters slate - which began with animated series Creature Commandos (and Peacemaker: Season 1 sans Justice League cameo). So with birds and planes and Supermen once again soaring through the skies, and the DCEU officially in the rear view, it's time to look back at all the Superfilms and pick out the best.

Let's lay down the guidelines here: We're ranking live-action Superman movies, with Superman in the title. And even that, we're not getting into the weeds with Superman II: The Donner Cut or Superman and the Mole Men (from 1951). But 1950s icon George Reeves, who starred in Mole Men and the long-running series Adventures of Superman, is worth mentioning here as an integral part to Superman's live-action history.

Also, before we're gifted with a new Gods and Monsters-era Supergirl movie, let's call out Helen Slater as Supergirl in the ill-fated 1984 Supergirl movie, which fell on its face between 1983's Superman III and 1987's Superman IV. It was an early attempt at a connected Super-verse and sadly it didn't pan out.

Without further ado, it's time for Truth, Justice, and the Listicle Way with our official ranking of Superman headlining on the big screen!

7. Superman IV: The Quest for Peace (1987)

Superman IV placing dead last should come as no surprise. Not only was 1987 not the right cultural era for a new, earnest Super-flick but The Quest for Peace was so shoddily made that it was barely recognizable as a Superman film compared to the ones that came before it. With Super-producers the Salkinds out of the picture for the first time and Cannon Films severely slashing the budget, Superman IV, which still starred Christopher Reeve, felt like a silly knock-off. It's a shame that this was the last time Reeve donned the cape as it was a film so disastrous that it shut down Superman movies for twenty years. In an alternate universe, a movie where Kal-el battles a nuclear powered villain while trying to broker peace talks during the Cold War could have been quite good, but everything here falls apart.

6. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016)

Definitely not ineptly made like Superman IV, the mega-budgeted Batman v Superman just has too many missteps and cluttered incongruous parts to resonate as an intact movie. People still liked the idea of Henry Cavill as Superman and, despite a ton of pre-judgement, fans got on board with Bat-fleck. But 2013's Man of Steel had failed to deliver a worthy, upstanding Superman, instead opting for a fledging, grumpy hero whose third act collateral damage rivaled a battle from Invincible. Thus, Dawn of Justice had to make Superman's massive mass-casualty event the core of its story, burying poor Clark even further into murky anti-hero horribleness unbeffiting of his character.

Add to this Warner Bros.' desperate attempt to catch up to the hefty head start the MCU had, trying to replicate that franchise's success in two films instead of six, and you get an overcrowded mess that ALSO, of all things, kills Superman at the end. Looks pretty, feels shitty.

5. Man of Steel (2013)

Excitement was through the roof for Zack Snyder's Nolan-produced Superman movie. There was even warm anticipation for it being a more "serious" take on the last son of Krypton, as a counterpoint to the MCU. And still, to this day, there are redeemable elements, such as the Hans Zimmer score and a couple of soaring action sequences. But, ultimately, Man of Steel failed to produce a Superman who fans, or even the world within the film itself, could unite behind. No one faulted star Henry Cavill, really, instead looking to Snyder's penchant for refusing to make superheroes "good" people. Character complexity is great and all but when you create a Superman who is more or less ambivalent about humanity, where even his mom says "you don't owe this world a thing," and you've got a bummer of a blockbuster. On top of this, the movie gets too big and sloppy with its General Zod plot, making Supes' first mission an overwrought Extinction Level Event.

4. Superman Returns (2006)

Superman Returns -- which delivered unto us a long-awaited (pseudo) sequel to Superman and Superman II -- is definitely the most interesting of the Superman films (while also being the most retro-problematic given director Bryan Singer and star Kevin Spacey). Instead of rebooting the classic hero, the decision was made to continue the saga with different actors as the same characters, with a story about Superman returning to Earth after five years in space after being tricked into following a Kryptonian signal faked by Lex Luthor.

Upon his return, Superman discovers that Lois Lane is engaged to someone new and that Luthor is up to his old evil schemes involving causing cataclysms to reshape continents. Newcomer Brandon Routh (who'd later play The Atom and then eventually reprise his role as Superman in the ArrowVerse) was decently received for what may not be the most exciting Superman movie ever made, but definitely one of the best-looking ones. Ultimately, it may wind up being similar in ways to James Gunn's take as we're dropped off in the middle of an already-established Super-verse, where Superman and Luthor have an accepted, entrenched enmity.

3. Superman III (1983)

You might be surprised to see Superman III this high in the rankings but there's a lot of nostalgic appreciation for this one, making it proof that even Christopher Reeve's third-best Superman outing is better than most other Super movies. This was a double bill too, as Reeve was paired with legendary comedian and movie star Richard Pryor for an adventure that not only leaned heavily into Pryor's comedic stylings but also the early-80s computer/video game boom. It's the third Superman movie in our rankings to get a Razzie nomination (after Batman v Superman and Superman IV) but it's also fondly remembered for its dark doppelgänger sequence, in which synthetic Kryptonite causes Clark to surreally split into two beings. There's a lot of nonsense here but there's also a playfulness that works more than it doesn't.

2. Superman II (1980)

Filmed back to back with the 1978 original -- with director Richard Donner helming 75% of this sequel before getting fired by father/son producers Alexander and Ilya Salkind -- Superman II still manages to be a glorious, rollicking follow-up that delivers one of the first (and most fun) super-battles of all time. It builds off of what was set up in Superman and expands the character in ways that superhero movies today still emulate. Can Superman lead a normal life with the woman he loves or is he forever destined to sacrifice happiness for his higher calling? What do his superpowers mean when faced with beings just as strong as he is? How can Superman's saga still use Lex Luthor as a perennial thorn in Supes' side, even when new villains arrive with even deadlier agendas? Reeve was still perfect here, embodying a being you could believe as both the awesome, adept Superman and the bumbling, beefhead Clark. The real Kryptonian is somewhere in-between, both powerful and vulnerable.

1. Superman (1978)

It's not hard to guess that, yes, the original Superman is still the gd best. With the tagline "You'll believe a man can fly," Superman barreled into theaters in 1978 with locomotive power and bullet-like speed. Groundbreaking special effects and the absolute perfect actor in Christopher Reeve helped turn the world's most famous comic book character into a bonafide movie triumph.

Superman was jaw-dropping, and on the heels of Star Wars it was further proof that movies could now deliver large-scale fantasy epics like never before. Reeve, who'd been a star of some TV and a whole lot of theater, became a household name overnight after wowing audiences with endearing slapstick as Clark Kent and noble kindness as Superman. And like its portrayal of Superman and Clark, the movie itself also struck the perfect balance between goofy antics and heroic exploits. John Williams' score provided the perfect backdrop for what still remains a one-of-a-kind adventure.

Amazon's Massive Buy 2, Get 1 Free Book Sale Is Back With Box Sets and Bestsellers

Amazon Prime Day officially kicks off tomorrow, but the early book deals have already begun. The massive buy two, get one free sale is back and it includes a ton of popular titles, box sets, and even some manga. If you've been looking forward to Prime Day to stock your bookshelf with some awesome reads, now is the perfect time to do so.

The buy two, get one free sale is fairly simple: Amazon has a huge list of items included in the sale and you need to add three of them to your cart to activate the promotion at checkout. The cheapest of the three items will be the one you get for free, so it's best to make purchases at similar price points to maximize the savings. You can even shop outside of books if you'd like to mix and match – there are a ton of 4K Blu-rays also included in the promotion.

I've sorted through this huge selection and picked out some of my favorites below, but I encourage you to just dive into the full sale yourself and do some digging. Amazon hides a lot of the best inclusions pretty deep.

Buy 2, Get 1 Free Books at Amazon

There are a ton of books in this sale, so making recommendations is both very easy and very difficult at the same time. I'll reiterate once again that it's absolutely worth just going into the sale and doing a bit of digging to find what you're looking for. If you have a specific series or title in mind, a quick search will be able to tell you if it's included or not. In some cases, individual books will be available or you may be able to find a full box set. Amazon seems to organize the list based on overall sales, so a lot of things get pushed way down.

As for my actual recommendations of what to pick up during this sale, I'll start with some of the more popular books included. First up, there's Sunrise on the Reaping, the latest Hunger Games novel from Suzanne Collins that was already being adapted into a movie before it even came out. Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir is also a great option that is getting a movie adaptation with Ryan Gosling as the lead. It's from the same author who wrote The Martian and is generally fantastic. Finally, there's Onyx Storm, which has topped most bestseller charts all year. As the latest in the popular romantasy series, it's a fun read and easy to recommend if you've already read the first two books.

Now if you're looking for collector's editions, quite a few options are available in this sale. My overall top picks would be any of the Lord of the Rings illustrated editions in here. Not only are they heavily discounted, they are also all included on Amazon's list. The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings books, and the Silmarillion illustrated editions include drawings from Tolkien himself and are a must-have LotR gift for any fan's shelf. Along these same lines, the MinaLima interactive Harry Potter books are included in the sale. I own these and they are surprisingly fun to play around with, though you do have to be careful reading them.

There's surprising amount of box sets included in this sale as well. All of the Lord of the Rings books, as well as the Game of Thrones books, are included in the promotion. And if you're a fan of Brandon Sanderson's Cosmere books, there are various box sets worth checking out here. It's also worth mentioning that there are ton of great box sets for kids, though I only included the Dog Man series here.

Finally, one of my overall favorite LitRPG books is included in the sale. The Dungeon Crawler Carl books only recently received hardcover editions, but they are almost all included here. I'd definitely recommend picking up a copy if you are looking for a modern sci-fi read with a bit of video game slant. The audiobooks are also excellent if you'd prefer to take advantage of the Audible free trial for them instead.

Do you need to be a Prime Member to shop this sale?

It's worth noting that while this particular sale is adjacent to Amazon Prime Day, you don't actually have to have an Amazon Prime Membership to take advantage of it. The only downsides of not having a Prime Membership is that you'll need to hit a minimum of at least $35 to activate free shipping on your order. There are also some deals that are only available for Prime members, so the added discounts on top of the promotion might not always be something you're eligible for.
