Audible Kicks Off its First Sale of the Year, Get Premium Plus for Just $0.99 Per Month

Audible's first sale of 2026 is now live. Now through January 21, new and returning Audible subscribers can sign up for three months of Audible Premium Plus for just $0.99 per month. This time around it doesn't look like you need to be an Amazon Prime member either. After the three months is up, your subscription will convert to the standard $14.95/mo, so make sure to cancel beforehand if you don't want to continue with the service. You also get a free audiobook of your choice for each of those three months that you get to keep indefinitely.

Note that if you recently signed up for an Audible Premium Plus promotion, you may not be eligible even if your subscription has ended. There's usually a wait period (about 3-6 months) before you are re-eligible.

3 Free Months of Audible Premium Plus

Audible is a subscription service that gives you access to hundreds of thousands of the best audiobooks without ever having to purchase them. There are two paid membership plans: the lower tier Audible Plus ($7.95/mo) and the higher tier Audible Premium Plus ($14.95/mo). The biggest difference between the two is the size of the audiobook library. Catch up the the latest novel releases, audiobook style

Several best-selling new and recent releases are available in an audiobook format and part of Audible's Premium Plus subscription plan. Rebecca Yarros' The Empyrean Series romantasy novels have consistently hit the top of the New York Times' best seller list throughout all of 2025 and they're all available in audiobook format. If you can afford it, you should only get the 16GB model. Numerous outlets have shown that the performance gap between the 8GB and 16GB models is huge.

The RTX 5060 Ti (16GB) is a great GPU for 1080p gaming. It outperforms the RTX 4060 Ti by about 20%, and the gap widens in games that support DLSS 4 technology with multi-frame generation. But if you insist on solid wood instead of a fiberboard or particleboard surface, then your options become more limited. Fortunately, there's one available at Amazon right now. For a limited time, you can get this 48"x20" adjustable height workbench - featuring a solid rubberwood desktop and steel frame - for just $105.99 with free delivery. Seeing as how the other options on the product page cost well over $200, this looks like a pretty fantastic deal.

The highlight feature of the "Enjoywood" workbench is most certainly the desktop, which is a finished butcher-block style rubberwood that measures 48" long, 20" wide, and 1.25" thick. Switch 2 owners, if there's one upgrade you'll absolutely need, it's additional storage. The Switch 2 only has 256GB of onboard storage, and chances are you'll run out of space down the road. Nintendo Switch 2 compatible

As you should already know, the Switch 2 console will only accept MicroSD Express cards. If you have a standard MicroSD card from your previous Switch, you sadly won't be able to use it to store games in the Switch 2. Although the two might look similar, MicroSD Express cards are much, much faster than their precedessors, with speeds of up to 800MB/s. MicroSD cards, on the other hand, cap out at well under 200MB/s.

The short-term outlook doesn't bode well with regards to GPU pricing. PCMag and other outlets have reported that Nvidia may cut back production on its consumer graphics cards by up to 30%-40% due to the demand of DRAM and Nvidia's shift in focus to supplying AI data centers. As a result of the dwindling supply, GPU prices are expected to rise in 2026.

Fortunately if you're thinking of upgrading your PC right now, it's not too late to get a current generation GeForce graphics card at retail pricing. Select variants of the GeForce RTX 5070 Ti, RTX 5070, and RTX 5060 Ti 16GB graphics cards are currently available at Walmart and Amazon without any markup, but who knows for how long.

Of all the Blackwell cards released thus far, the RTX 5070 Ti offers the best value for high-fps 4K gaming. If you plan on using this card for AI, the RTX 5070 Ti is a better value than the RTX 5080 since both have same amount of RAM (16GB).
