Liquid Glass in iOS 26 beta 3 is much less dramatic as Apple optimizes redesign for usability

Sorry or you’re welcome? Apple’s new Liquid Glass visual element is getting any icy design change in some places before it reaches customers. iOS 26 developer beta 3, which will likely be iOS 26 public beta 1 later this month, reduces the transparency effect in a number of places like navigation bars in certain apps. In the example above, the top shows beta 2 while the bottom shows the current look in beta 3.

Over the years, I’ve tried a ton of chargers, but a lot of them fall into the category that they’re awkward to use, overpriced, or just not reliable. The one that’s managed to stay in my life is the It’s cheap, easy to use, and solves a simple problem I’ve encountered more times than I can count. I don’t want to use two hands when I need to grab my iPhone quickly from my desk.

Update: It looks like Apple ran into a distribution issue affecting the Apple Silicon version of today’s macOS Tahoe beta. For now, the update appears to be available only to Intel Macs.

Two weeks after releasing the second wave of developer betas, Apple has just dropped macOS Tahoe 26 beta 3, alongside updates to its other operating systems.

Android users can now (kinda) edit messages sent to iPhones, but not yet vice-versa

iPhones and Android smartphones started to play more nicely together after Apple finally opted to support the Rich Communication Services (RCS) standard. Prior to this, messages between the two platforms had to use the ancient and insecure text messaging service.

Not all RCS features are supported as yet, with the all-important strong encryption waiting for RCS 3.0 support in iOS 26. Another RCS 3.0 feature is the ability to edit outgoing messages after sending them, and that one has started a limited one-way rollout …
