Google Can Pay Mozilla for Firefox Search Deal in Antitrust Ruling

U.S. District Judge Amit Mehta has ruled that Google can continue to pay browser companies like Mozilla to make it the default search engine. The decision in what has been a highly-anticipated antitrust case stops short of forcing Google to sell off its Chrome browser, or divest its Android operating system, something prosecutors, the United States Department of Justice (DOJ) sought.
