Black Friday 2025 is now official in the UK, although it's nearly been a month-long event if we're being honest. But it looks like some deals have been waiting until Black Friday proper to get going. So I thought this is the best time to go over some of the best deals I've come across so far mixed in with some awesome deals that have gone live today.

Graphics cards, Gaming PCs, Gaming Laptops, PS5s, Xboxs, Gaming Monitors and a cracking deal on three months of Audible. Oh and don't forget swinging by the Disney Store for some stocking fillers. It's actually really hard to write about all of this whilst leaving my bank account alone, so I hope you all appriciate the sacrifices I make to save you money this Black Friday. Thanks in advance.

The Top 10 UK Black Friday Deals

So here's some of the highlights, which had to be a top 10 because it sounds so much cooler. Audiable Premium is currently having a cheeky three month trial for 99p for Amazon Prime members right now and includes a free £10 Audible voucher. The best part of this deal is it's commitment free, just cancel after three months if you don't fancy it, nice and simple.

There's a couple of brilliant gaming monitors available right now too, with the beast that is the Alienware 32-inch 4K AQ-OLED Gaming Monitor. It's curved too, and for £262.79 off, i'd be happy paying £646.21 for this gorgeous 240Hz 0.03ms panel every day of the week.

I'm currently running a 1440p MSI ultrawide and it's a cracking bit of kit, but it would be nice to have an OLED panel and a higher refresh rate to hit above 144 FPS on Fortnite. I'd happily slap the MSI 34-inch MPG 341CQPX underneath my existing one for those accurate and deep colours and to smash 240 FPS in anything I'd like.

If you don't have anything to run through either of these monitors yet, EE has the best price on a PS5 Digital Edition for £285, a massive £144.99 off the usual £429.99 price tag and includes FC 26. You can also pick up a PlayStation Portal to play you PS5 games and PS+ Premium games remotely for £175, down from £199. Finally, you can also grab a DualSense Edge for 25% off, down to £147.99 from £198.

If you're wanting a gaming PC setup instead, there's a great deal on a RTX 5080 16GB build on Amazon for £1,999. It's backed up by a more than capable Intel Core i9-12900KF and 32GB DDR5 RAM with a 1TB SSD to gewt a good chunk of your gaming catalogue on. It's not a typical discounted Black Friday deal, but the value for money here is fantastic for a 4K-Capable build.

Need more convincing? Well the best deal on a RTX 5080 right now is the MSI 16GB Inspire 3X OC for £939, knocked down from £999.99. So when you add up this prebuilt gaming PC then chuck in a few extra quid for the no hassle prebuild option and you're there.

If you fancy hopping on the Game Pass train and grabbing an Xbox, the Series X has been knocked down to £469.99, which also has a disc drive so you have the best of both worlds. That's £30 cheaper than the usual £499.99 price point, and Elite V2 controllers are also down to £112.99, £57 off RRP and arguably the best controller to hit gaming. If you're looking for a cheaper Xbox option, i've found even more deals below.

Roughly £12.99 for Game Pass Ultimate? Yes please! Considering it's just gone up to a lofty £22.99 per month, this is a cracking Black Friday deal and stackable. Yep, feel free to buy multiple and sort yourself out for a few months!

If you fancy a bit more colour on your controller, there's plenty of Black Friday deals on Velocity Green, Pulse Red, Deep Pink and the Storm Breaker Special Edition. There's a cheaper option for Elite Controller with the £88 Series 2 Core in white. It still has loads of features, but it's a nice middle ground price wise for a premium controller option.

If you're planning on being all digital with your games, save yourself some money and just grab the digital edition of the Xbox Series X for £419.99, knocked down from £449.99. Not bothered about 4K resolutions and higher framerates? Series S is down to £329.99, £20 off from £349.99, but just bear in mind that some Xbox games are Series X games only.

EE Has The Best PS5 Black Friday Deals This Year

Looking for a decent deal on a PlayStation 5? Well the online EE Store has the best deal on a PS5 overall right now, and there's plenty more where that came from. There's a ridiculous amount of console, PSVR2, PS Portal, DualSense and accessory deal in their Early Black Friday offers, so you might aswell get yourself sorted right now. It seems that Black Friday has officially started early for Overclockers UK, as you can't move for epic deals on all things PC gaming. From ridiculous Radeon and NVidia-powered prebuilt gaming PC and Graphics Card discounts to every kind of monitor you'll possibly want to choose from, there's a deal to be had for everyone here.

Lenovo Black Friday Sale

Lenovo has kicked off it's Black Friday sale, just make sure to double check that the promo code "MEGADEAL" in your basket before checking out, although when doing this myself the code automatically applied. It focuses mostly on laptops for all use cases, from gaming, to the efficient ThinkPads you've probbaly used in an office job before now and 2-in-1 efforts that are great for digital artwork and much more. There's also some monitors on offer, again there's everyday use cases and gaming covered.

Disney Store UK Black Friday Sale

The house of mouse has kicked off its Black Friday sale with up to 30% off toys, soft toys, clothing, pajamas and even adult loungewear. Of course there's some Christmas goodies thrown in for good measure, and most importantly, a shopping bag. That's right people, this bag for life bargain is going to blow your mind!

Best MicroSD Express Switch 2 Black Friday Deals

It looks like a great time to upgrade that Nintendo Switch 2 256GB internal storage with a MicroSD Express card this Black Friday, and deals have already surfaced. The Nintendo Switch 2 has been flying off shelves since it launched earlier this year, and ahead of its first Holiday season, those holding out on buying one will no doubt have an eye on potential discounts.

On that note, I have good news and bad news. The bad news is that the Switch 2 isn't seeing any drastic discounts in the Nintendo Black Friday sale, but on the positive side, retailers appear to be getting creative with bundles.

From extra games, to sneaking in accessories like a Pro Controller, there are plenty of options - although we don't expect them to last long.

So, while the system hasn't budged from its $449.99 MSRP during Black Friday (I must not have had my fingers crossed hard enough!), there are perhaps more choices than ever heading into the holiday season.

Nintendo currently offers two bundles of its own, for example, with one including Mario Kart World and another offering Pokémon Legends: Z-A. Both of these are, at least in my opinion, rather good bundle deals, and I'd be very surprised if both aren't selling like hotcakes given the popularity of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on the original Nintendo Switch, and the timeless popularity of Pokémon.

The Mario Kart bundle, at $499, includes the console and Mario Kart World, at a $30 discount compared to buying each individually. While the Pokémon bundle is a similar deal, just a $20 saving instead, as the base game isn't as pricey as Mario Kart.

Those are two great games to kickstart your Switch 2 collection, and these are the best possible Switch 2 Black Friday deals we're getting without leaning too much on third-party retailers.

If you're waiting on something else, I wouldn't bother risking these going out of stock between now and December, because it's likely to be a hot item for the Christmas period.

We’re also already starting to see some retailers throw even more into things - although not without driving up the cost. Best Buy has a bundle including both Pokémon and Mario Kart, or even bundles that include microSD Express cards, Donkey Kong Bananza, or even The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

Many also include cases, screen protectors, or even the Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller, and we’re still a few days away from the ‘real’ Black Friday window. With that in mind, it might be worth holding out a few days to see if any of these bundles see price drops, or if fresh bundles arrive.

Black Friday deals are more confusing than ever these days. Most retailers spend November teasing limited-time offers, but the reality is that the deepest discounts rarely arrive until about a week before what I like to call “Black Friday proper.”

Having tracked Nintendo sales for years, one thing is clear: once a Switch deal hits, it usually sticks for the rest of the sale. That means the prices you see now on consoles, games, and accessories are very likely the ones that’ll hold through to December. If you’ve been holding out for a solid deal, there’s no need to wait any longer.

These offers are reliable, worthwhile, and unlikely to get any better. Grab the games and hardware you’ve had your eye on, there’s no risk of Black Friday regret, only the satisfaction of finally getting exactly what you wanted at a price that makes sense.

Hollow Knight: Silksong developer Team Cherry has confirmed it’s working on DLC — but it doesn’t know when it will come out.

In an interview with Bloomberg, Team Cherry co-founders Ari Gibson and William Pellen said that while the developers do not plan to take “an excessive amount of time” building this new content for Silksong, “we still are pursuing the same development philosophy, which sometimes can expand our timeframe.”

It took seven years for Silksong to come out, so who knows when this mystery DLC will be released? But Team Cherry did tease it will feature the Steel Assassin, a character shown in a prior trailer but who has yet to show up in Silksong itself.

Here’s the relevant exchange with Bloomberg reporter Jason Schreier:

Do you want to do a mix of smaller updates like Lifeblood, or are you thinking bigger stuff like Godmaster and Grimm Troupe? Is there a cadence you have in mind?

Gibson: In simple terms yes, we’d be thinking about different things arriving at different scales. That might mean larger things like Godmaster. Certainly, we’ve noticed that people would like an expansion in that way, being able to enter pantheon spaces and refight bosses. And there is already a huge number of them.

Pellen: We were talking about the next project in general. We’re not thinking about the size. We just started making new stuff and working on bits and pieces. We’re still in this world, thinking about stuff to present to people.

Gibson: It is interesting working out how you expand an already huge game, to make sure you don’t completely overwhelm new players, because obviously new players will be experiencing the new stuff, very naturally integrated. It’ll just seem like the base experience. Some of that might mean finding ways to hide away the access, because otherwise potentially by the end of the our expansions and developments it would just be gargantuan.

So here's how this is going to work: I'm going to run through the best Black Friday deals you can shop for over the Black Friday sale weekend, for PlayStation, Nintendo, and Xbox.

These are the standouts, all handpicked, and the ones actually worth your time this Black Friday. Every single pick has hit its lowest price of the year, so ignoring them would be a bit daft.

There's a solid spread of offers here, and I'm keeping it lean by sticking to the stuff that genuinely earns its place. Let's get into it and see what gamers can actually score this Black Friday.

Best PlayStation Deals

PlayStation is having a fairly good Black Friday so far. Battlefield 6 is down to $35 at Amazon, a full 50% off, while Borderlands 4 is also $35, back in stock and ready to fly off those digital shelves.

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater has also dropped to $30 at Walmart and Amazon, making it another of the best bargains in the end of year sales. I'd snap each of games up ASAP to avoid Black Friday FOMO, as deals like these tend to go before the sale weekend is up.

Other big 2025 releases like Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds and Assassin's Creed Shadows are also hitting $30, so there’s no shortage of must-grab titles.

PlayStation hardware deals are solid too, with the NBA 2K26 bundle at $449, free game included, and the PS5 Pro down to $649, likely the best price we’ll see for the world’s most powerful console anytime soon.

Best Nintendo Deals

Nintendo’s Black Friday is delivering better deals than expected, but the real standout is the Switch 2. The Mario Kart 8 Bundle saves you $30 compared to buying the items separately, and stock won’t last, Nintendo has officially said once it’s gone, it’s gone. If you’ve been holding off on a Switch 2, now is not the time to wait, especially with holiday demand set to skyrocket.

For Switch 2 owners, the Samsung 512GB microSD Express memory card is a no-brainer at $74.99, down from $99.99 at Amazon, the best storage upgrade you can get at the lowest price of the year.

Other deals are nice, like Final Fantasy 1-6 Pixel Collection for $39.99, Sonic X Shadow Generations for $15, Super Mario Odyssey for $29.99, and Zelda amiibo for $9.99, but the bundle and storage are the ones that really matter this Black Friday.

Best Xbox Deals

Xbox deals are a bit patchy this year, and there aren’t any standout console discounts. That said, there are still solid bargains if you know where to look. Just like PlayStation, the strongest deals are absolutely on the games, with price matches on Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater ($30), Battlefield 6 ($35), and Borderlands 4 ($35) for Xbox.

For Game Pass fans, the best deal right now is the 3-month Game Pass Ultimate at Amazon for $59.99, down from $89.99. It’s the perfect way to dodge recent price hikes and stack some serious value into your membership.

Steam Black Friday Sale

Steam is putting on its very own Black Friday sale for the first time, so it is absolutely worth a brief mention as well. Note that you should always compare the prices with Steam key sellers like Fanatical and Green Man Gaming to ensure you're getting the best deal possible.

There is a fantastic range of games getting discounted at Steam, including 50% off EA Sports FC 26, 15% off Battlefield 6, a whopping 67% (6 7!) off Risk of Rain 2, 20% off Helldivers 2, 34% off the glorious Blue Prince, and 8% Dead by Daylight.

You can also grab Ghost of Tsushima for 40% off the recommended retail price, a huge 75% off the wonderful Red Dead Redemption 2, and an even bigger 95% on Warhammer: Vermintide 2.

That's not all, either. From now until December 1, 10am PT (1pm ET), you can also save 20% on the Steam Deck LCD 256GV model, that's the original model, not the fancy OLED one, and nominate your favorite games of 2025 in this year's Steam Awards.

The official Nintendo Switch Black Friday deals have gone live and, not surprisingly, there are no advertised discounts on the Nintendo Switch 2 console. That means there are really only two ways you'll be able to get one at considerably lower than retail price: buying a used one off a marketplace or getting an import model. AliExpress is offering a Nintendo Switch 2 Mario Kart World console bundle for just $435.87 (normally $500) after you apply a $100 off coupon code "AEUS100" during checkout. It ships free locally from the United States (which means no tariffs and no obnoxiously long wait times).

The listing is for a Hong Kong import. Fortunately, all international Switch 2 consoles are region unlocked, so they be used in the US without any modification. You'll also be able to select English as your default language. This specific model will come with a Hong Kong style plug, but a US adapter is included. Imported consoles do not get a US-based Nintendo warranty. Fortunately, Aliexpress offers a generous 90-day free return window.

Nintendo Switch 2 (Import) with Mario Kart World for $436

30 years ago, LEGO made its tentative first step beyond physical toys with the launch of Fun to Build, a Japanese-only game for the largely forgotten Sega Pico console. Three decades later, the mighty LEGO brand's video game ambitions are now a diverse empire all of its own, a set of digital experiences designed to cater to diverse and tastes.

And for good reason — because as anyone who follows video games knows, the industry's growth has also come alongside massive change, including an ongoing shift in how players access and own games — and a generational difference in why they're so important.

For many, the idea of a LEGO video game is something still synonymous with the prolific output of TT Games, the British development studio behind dozens of licensed titles featuring blockbuster franchises like Star Wars, Batman, and Harry Potter. But the LEGO brand now adorns numerous other experiences from other established creators, such as the recent Annapurna-published LEGO Voyagers, or the Nintendo-like LEGO Party. And then there's LEGO Fortnite — but more on that in a moment.

Speaking to the bosses of LEGO's sprawling gaming portfolio, the company's new SVP of LEGO Game, Fredrik Löving, and its veteran Head of Product, Kari Vinther Nielsen, its clear the company knows the world of video games has already changed — and will continue to do so, as a younger generation raised on the likes of Minecraft, Roblox and Fortnite — LEGO's key audience demographic — seeks connected social experiences on a wider range of platforms. At the same time, however, the brand knows it must still cater to more traditional gamers as well.

"Really understanding today's kids is just always the most important thing," Löving says. "There's been a big shift in gaming and we all know it, we have all seen it. Games mean something different for the generation growing up today than it did for me. When I grew up on my Amiga 500, I was escaping into a world, I was escaping into a screen and I was playing these games with a very set objective.

"The primary objective today for kids growing up is to find an activity to do in a social space together with their friends. Secondarily, it's whatever the activity actually is around it." It's an observation that rings especially true following the huge spike in players this summer for games such as Grow a Garden and Steal the Brainrot, experiences that helped smash engagement records on Roblox — a social gaming platform that LEGO has so far steered clear of.

"The gamers are very fundamentally different," Löving continues. So, where does that leave LEGO?

"I was very lucky to work on LEGO Worlds," Nielsen recalls, a LEGO-y sandbox game that let players build intricate models using digital blocks. While successful enough, it was a product of its time — and despite the LEGO branding, it never seemed to trouble the already-dominant Minecraft, the game it was frequently most compared to. Still, its ambitions were clear. "That for me was a testament of what the physical brick was in a digital space," Nielsen continues. "We had fans creating models, creating worlds, creating stories, and I think that's really the power of digital play where you can create and share in different ways versus what you can in the physical world.

After working at LEGO for over a decade, Nielsen said the conversations she had working on the idea for Worlds remain "the same stories and the same things we talk about" today. "We need to mix IPs, we need to figure out what's the digital version of the physical expression. What's the real true game version of that? I don't think the conversations have changed a lot," she continued. "It's more about actually adapting to how kids play today and being open-minded about how you diversify play, how you become inclusive so that you make the right type of play for kids in the world they live in. I think that's where we've moved a lot through the last couple of years actually.

"Kids really use video games as a way to stay social and a place where can they meet up with their friends," Nielsen continues, echoing Löving's earlier words. "Of course we want to show up in safe and positive ways, but I think that just speaks to the type of games and the type of play we really need to serve as the LEGO brand. It's not about only having one version that fits for gamers, it's about having a diverse portfolio, for different play needs and different moments."

It's an approach that LEGO has demonstrated over the past few months, launching the Mario Party-esque LEGO Party to foster cross-generational multiplayer, the same month as indie puzzle platformer LEGO Voyagers. "LEGO Party, that's really where I want to play with my friends or with my family," Nielsen notes. "LEGO Voyagers meanwhile, was a test of my relationship, I'm not going to lie. There was a little bit of 'go away, this is me playing now.'"

And then there's LEGO Fortnite, which continues to evolve week by week. Its hard to gauge the current level of its overall success versus expectations, especially when comparing it to something like Grow a Garden's viral popularity. But its most substantial offering, LEGO Fortnite Odyssey, remains an evergreen hit and will soon receive its next big update (which fans expect will add characters from the hugely popular Ninjago franchise). Role-playing sim option LEGO Brick Life, meanwhile, enjoys a smaller audience, though is currently hosting a big The Simpsons takeover. And a core attraction for LEGO here remains the ability for players to build and make their own mini-games — something which should only become easier to do and more advanced in potential over time.

"My daughter loves the universe, the characters, the stories, the narrative," Nielsen says of LEGO Fortnite's modes. "We're starting to really grow and expand the opportunity for creators to make their favorite LEGO game, to tell their stories through gaming. It's still early days actually in that space," she continues. "It's not that we haven't had digital building or digital creation in our portfolio for the past 30 years, but the world around it has changed, as has the platforms and the pace of creation. When Fred joined, we had this sort of [joke] like, 'You've been used to making a game and it takes five years, I can do what you do and do that in four hours instead.'"

While that may not be true — yet — of something that looks as polished as TT Games' upcoming LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, some of LEGO's earlier output could certainly be recreated in Fortnite today, such as LEGO Island, the brand's second video game (and its first real digital hit). "It's just a different reality of making experiences and testing new things and trying them out in a way faster engine with the right partner, with the right creators," Nielsen says.

"And going back to what I mentioned around really understanding gamers of today," Löving adds. "Co-creation, agency, all the things that you just mentioned. They are becoming very quickly, if not already, table stakes for a lot of experiences out there, especially the big platforms."

All of that said, LEGO's more traditional gaming experiences are also not fully going away — as next year's arival of LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight proves. It was one of this year's biggest and best-received gaming reveals, and was recently shown to a hugely positive reception during Gamescom 2025. For LEGO, experiences like it is set to provide also remain a cruical part of its brand offering.

"I passed down Star Wars to my son through a Lego game, Skywalker saga," Löving said. "That is a lot for a dad, to actually have that experience together with your son — not just playing together but passing down a fandom, enabled through the fact that it's a LEGO game. Even before I joined the company, I was just inspired to see, 'how do we even dial that up? How can we do that and really make it intergenerational play?'"

"Our brand stands for a lot of things and I think in some moments you're really diving in and you're immersing yourself in like a six-hour session," Nielsen affirms. "I play legacy board games, I know it's going to take a long time. I'm invested, and it's even better if I can actually play along or couch co-op with some of my friends or family members. That's fantastic and I think that's what TT Games does so well."

As LEGO enters its fourth decade in the digital space, the company clearly has ambitions that range beyond simple, static plastic. Ever since it dipped its toe into the world of simple robotics with MindStorms, through to its much more recently interactivitiy melded into LEGO Super Mario bricks, its clear the company is keen to experiment with what's possible with play. LEGO Dimensions, the brand's experiment in the toys-to-life category, was another example of that — and with its focus on IP mashups and adventure, could be seen as a precursor to LEGO Fortnite today.

At the end of the day, though, Nielsen says it's all about finding the right kind of play for the right audience. "Sometimes there's a time for a game and then you can almost take that game and bring it into the now — or to the future with different flavors and twists," she says. "It's no different than what is our LEGO version of Darth Vader or Batman. I think there's something generational to it."

It would be fair to say that the Magic: The Gathering set for Marvel’s Spider-Man didn’t hit the heights anyone was hoping, and while it wasn’t all that much fun to play, at least we got some cool artwork from it.

There’s no better way to get your hands on the set’s rarest, most expensive cards than with Collector Boosters. While they’ve been hard to find in recent weeks, Amazon has them in stock and is selling a box of 12 packs at a 23% discount.

For gamers who have been patiently hold out on any stellar deals on handheld gaming PCs, I have good news and bad news. The bad news, there aren't very many deals. The good news, the few deals to choose from happen to be excellent. They're also exclusively available at Best Buy. That's right, Best Buy is the one and only retailer who has discounted the Lenovo Legion Go SteamOS handheld gaming PCs as part of its Black Friday Sale. In fact, both Z2 Go and Z1 Extreme models are on sale today at the lowest prices of the year. These deals are good enough that I don't expect them to drop on Cyber Monday.

Lenovo Legion Go S Z1 Extreme SteamOS Edition

It may have only been around for a month, but Black Friday offers an ideal pickup for Pokémon fans who have held out on picking up Legends Z-A.

As with a brand new pair of Joy-Con 2 controllers and the Super Mario Galaxy and Super Mario Galaxy 2 double pack, Nintendo Switch owners can snap up the latest Pokémon adventure with a 20% discount via the WOOT app.

After a long wait, Metroid Prime 4: Beyond is finally coming to Switch 1 and Switch 2 on December 4. Nintendo recently revealed exactly what each of its Metroid Prime amiibo figures will allow you to do in the game — ranging from customizing Samus’s new ride to letting you unlock a secret movie without having to 100% the in-game collectables.

Nintendo is releasing three new amiibo figures for Metroid Prime 4: Beyond — namely Samus Aran herself, Samus riding the Vi-O-La motorbike, and bounty hunter antagonist Sylux. According to the announcement on Nintendo’s official Japanese website, the three Metroid Prime 4 amiibos will let you do different things with the game — with Sylux’s greatly lowering the threshold for what you need to do to unlock a secret movie.

Basically, the Sylux amiibo will allow players to view a special movie straight after beating the game’s main story. The movie will apparently be an edited-together cutscene of fragmented clips featuring the bounty hunter that play during your journey through Metroid Prime 4: Beyond’s story. It seems that watching the special movie will likely help players further understand Sylux’s motivations. Sylux has always been a bit of a mysterious antagonist and hopefully Metroid Prime 4 will shed more light on Sylux’s backstory and his apparent hatred of the Galactic Federation and Samus. As an added bonus, Sylux will say a random line of his dialogue each time you touch his amiibo to your Switch console.

If you don’t fancy forking out the money for the Sylux amiibo ($29.99) or would much rather put in the hard work yourself, then the special movie can also be unlocked by achieving a 100% scan rate and finding every single item in the game (so get ready to have guides and checklists on hand).

The Metroid Prime 4 Samus and Vi-O-La amiibo features the tough protagonist astride her brand-new, high-tech motorbike, Vi-O-La. Making its debut in Metroid Prime 4, Vi-O-La will allow Samus to speedily travel around the vast planet of Viewros. Therefore it comes as no surprise that the amiibo gives you several Vi-O-La related benefits. The Samus and Vi-O-La amiibo lets you quickly replenish your bike’s boost energy once per day, as well as allowing you to change the motorbike’s color. Touching the amiibo will tell you the distance you have travelled on the Vi-O-La.

The Metroid Prime 4 Samus amiibo lets you do a couple of things. Once a day, you can activate a handy shield that will not only restore Samus’s life but also blocks up to 99 damage. As an added bonus, you can use the Samus amiibo to change the music when riding the Vi-O-La across Sol Valley, Viewros’ vast desert.

Black Friday is upon us, and believe it or not, Alienware actually has the lowest price I've seen so far for a prebuilt desktop equipped with a GeForce RTX 5080 graphics card. That's right, Dell is currently offering an Alienware Aurora R16 RTX 5080 gaming PC starting at just $1,815. It's loaded with a current generation Intel Core Ultra 7 CPU and a fair amount of RAM and storage, but you can also opt for some upgraded specs for an extra cost. Alienware normally commands a higher price point, but this Black Friday deal totally flips the script.

Black Friday Deal: Alienware Aurora R16 RTX 5080 Gaming PC

A new batch of discounted games has just landed in PlayStation's 2025 Black Friday sale. Now these newbies are pure-breed Black Friday, cream of the crop, proper pick em' up before they never appear again kind of deals. Honestly, they remind me of Black Friday sales from five years ago.

To make sense of the chaos, the deals are split into two buckets: the fresh 2025 heavy hitters and the rest of the essential PS5 releases from the console's almost five-year run.

Right now, my top picks are from the 2025 bin, with Borderlands 4 and Battlefield 6 dropping to just $35, and Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater hitting $30. Let's see what else is up for grabs as well.

2025 PS5 Games on Sale for Black Friday

For the uninitiated, Black Friday deals tend to go live a week early these days, so while Black Friday isn't until Nov. 28, we've already got all the best discounts on PS5 games to check out.

As I mentioned, there's also my top picks in the sale like MGS Snake Eater remake for just $30. That's $20 better than its sale price from last week, and a similar tune is being sung for both Battlefield 6 and Borderlands 4 as well.

Other standout offers include more of my personal favorites from 2025, such as Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds and Assassin's Creed Shadows for just $30.

All of these were previously discounted in "the sales", but have since dropped even further to what can only be described as proper Black Friday deals. Non of that 5% off nonsense, try 50% off on new PS5 games. Now that's more like it!

More PS5 Game Deals for Black Friday

The first party PlayStation cuts are actually worth paying attention to this year, especially the newer releases. Astro Bot, the reigning Game of the Year 2024 winner, is sitting at $39.99 and absolutely justifies it.

If youre after more, Helldivers 2, Spider-Man 2, and both The Last of Us games are locked in at $29.99. Stellar Blade sits at $39.99, and Horizon Forbidden West hits a frankly ridiculous $19.99.

Walmart has also lobbed Elden Ring and Star Wars Outlaws into the mix at $15 a pop in a fresh round of discounts that just landed.

PS5 Digital Game Deals and More

I've barely scratched the surface across the sales as well, as there's even more games to check out between now and Black Friday, including a 2025 Game of the Year nominee, Death Stranding 2, for $49.69. That's $20 off, and matches the best deal on the game so far this year.

For example, Battlefield 6 is a significally better deal when buying a physical copy ($35 vs $59.49), while where as some games like Death Stranding 2 are just a tiny bit cheaper digitally ($49.69 vs $49.99). So, sometimes it comes in handy to have a disc drive (I'm looking at you, PS5 Pro owners).

Other heavy hitters in the PlayStation 2025 Black Friday sale include $100 off PS5 consoles and PlayStation VR2 bundles, $20 off DualSense controllers and the PlayStation Portal, and up to 33 percent off PlayStation Plus memberships.

And thats barely scratching the surface. There are loads more PS5 games discounted that didnt make the shortlist here, so it’s worth digging through the full sales pages at retailers like Amazon if you want the complete picture.

I'll be keeping this article updated throughout Black Friday and Cyber Monday, but in all honesty the deals are already here. I'm not going to waste any time, let's get straight into it:

Nvidia GeForce RTX 5000 Series Deals

Nvidia is the cream of the crop for cutting edge GPU tech, with anything over a RTX 5070 being worth your time over Radeon 9070 XT. You're getting the latest and greatest GDDR7 VRAM-powered DLSS 4 Blackwell architecture, which is the best artificial frame generation tech you can use right now. It just all depends on your budget, and for solid mid-range cards I'd go for a Radeon RX 9070 XT every day of the week.

AMD Radeon RX 9000 Series Deals

AMD Radeon cards are great mid-range cards, with the best one being a Radeon RX 9070XT. If you want to spend less but get the best performance for the price point, this is a great option. If you want more performance, better AI Frame generation/upscalling and GPUs with GDDR7 and better ray tracing support, Nvidia is your port of call (For a premium).

Intel ARC GPU Deals

Intel ARC GPUs are actually pretty sound for budget builds, aiming at the low end to mid-range market. If you're building your kid a cheap gaming PC, this is a solid choice.

Nvidia GeForce RTX 5000 Series Gaming PC Deals

Let's kick off with my budget pick from the RTX 5000 series prebuilt gaming PCs on offer, OcUK Gaming Mach 1.1. It rocks a AMD Ryzen 5600 CPU, RTX 5600, 16GB DDR4 RAM and a 1TB NVMe SSD. All of that for £759.95, currently £40 off, isn't a bad deal at all. You're not going to get ray tracing, high settings and ridiculous frame rates, but this is a solid 1080p gaming setup for most titles. You've also got the benefit of DLSS4 frame generation and image upscalling to push this budget rig way past what it's physically capable of.

If you're looking for a mid-range beast, it's OcUK again with their Mach 5G rig. It has a far wmore capable 7600X3D and a GeForce 5070Ti 16GB GPU slapped in there for good measure. RAM is 32GB DDR5 @ 6000MHz with an 750W 80 Plus Gold PSU. It's £99.95 off and a solid performer for 1440p, at a push some 4K gaming but at sub-60FPS. This will dominate any game at 1440p with ray tracing thrown in, especially if you plan on taking advantage of DLSS4. Plus you'll have an upgraded 2TB NVMe SSD to store your backlog on.

For a high-spec 4K gaming monster, i'd go with the OcUK Gaming Beryllium Ore, featuring a stunning RTX 5080 with 16GB of GDDR7 and the powerhouse that is the Intel Core Ultra 9 285K CPU. RAM and SSD is the same as my mid-range pick, but the GPU and CPU upgrade alone is going to take you into a very comfortable 4K Ray Tracing landscape with solid frame rates to boot. The Core Ultra 9 285K will be liquid cooled also thanks to the Tryx Panorama SE 360 cooling unit, featuring a 3-fan radiator. It's £3,499.99, so certainly a high-end setup price, but it's £300 off right now and you get a choice of two free games to go with it, including the brand new Battlefield 6.

AMD Radeon Gaming PC Deals

There's not much choice when it comes to AMD Radeon RX prebuilt gaming PC, but the best GPU is out in force with this lineup, the 9070XT. Long story short, paying out the extra £100 on the Ryzen 7 7800X3D build is well worth the extra gains. You're going to see a massive 36% boost in 64-core speed, and is overall a much more popular CPU out of the two. You're also getting a bit more headroom with your power supply unit at 850W vs 750W. I'm not saying the Ryzen 5 7600X3D is a bad CPU, far from it, but if you're already spending this kind of money on a prebuilt gaming PC, an extra £100 isn't a dealbreaker when it's also £100 off. Winner.

In terms of what you can expect from the 9070 XT, it's a solid 1440p GPU and perfect for mid-range build and a spot of 4K gaming. I run a 9070XT and the sweet spot is deffinatley 1440p if only for the higher frame rates. I can push it to 4K output, but i'm hitting around 50/60 FPS.

Gaming Laptop Deals

So for a budget Nvidia powered gaming laptop, go for Acewr Nitro V 15 with an RTX 5060. It's rocking 16GB DDR5 RAM and a 1TB SSD, which is a solid setup for the price point, which is a Black Friday deal at £899.99 (£150 off). It also has a 165Hz FHD screen, which translates to this being a fantastic 1080p high FPS machine.

If we're talking mid-range, Acer Predator with a RTX 5070Ti stuffed in with 32GB DDR5 RAM is a cracking pick. It's one of the bigger Black Friday deals on Overclockers right now with £300 off and a pick of one of four free premium games from Intel. It has a brilliant 3ms response time, 240Hz 1600p panel, so this is going to be a lovely 1440p gaming machine that can push those 150+ frames per seconds highs. It's also packing a Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX, which is over 30% faster than a Ryzen 7 7800X3D on all fronts.

The best deal in this lineup is also the highest spec one, and no, it's not the £3,799.99 Legion 7i Pro. Bearing in mind my top high-spec pick has pretty much the same specifications with an extra 60Hz refresh rate and sacrificing an OLED screen, OcUK Pinnacle is £2,699.99. That's £1,100 saved on brand tax. You'll get a Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 with 24GB GDDR7 VRAM, 64GB DDR RAM, Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX CPU, 80Wh battery and a WQXGA 2560 x 1600 300Hz 16-inch screen. If that's not an absolute steal I don't know what is.

1440P Gaming Monitor Deals

OK, so I made a section for ultrawide monitors below, so we're going to ignore that for a second whilst I tell you about my favourite pick from Overclockers 1440p monitor Black Friday deals. AOC Agons 34-inch 3440x1400 Ultrawide is OLED, curved, has 175Hz refresh rate, 0.03 ms response time and support for VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400. It's a beast and down from £669.95 to £488.99, that's a solid £180.96 saved.

In all honesty all of these monitors are good deals, it just depends on how fast and premium you'd like your 1440p screen to be.

4K Gaming Monitor Deals

Having used a MSI Ultrawide 1440p monitor for some time now, i'll all in with their value for money and quality gear, so the best deal for a 4K monitor for me personally is MSI 32" MPG 321URX for £698.99. It's a QD-OLED screen rocking a 3840x2160 widescreen 4K aspect ratio, 240Hz refresh rate, 0.03MS response time, Freesync Premium Pro and is £150.96 cheaper than the well-recieved LG UltraGear 32GS95UV. By the way, LGs alternative is exactly the same spec.

Ultrawide Gaming Monitor Deals

Now we're in the UltraWide realm proper, I'm going to go with MSI MPG 491CQPX for £898.99. If you're going to get an ultrawide screen over a standard 1440p monitor, you mightaswell go all in. Plus competitors like LGs alternative come in with similar specs and a smaller screen. This is 49-inches of 240Hz, 0.03 ms response time, curved OLED epicness.

Stranger Things Season 5 Volume 1 is out now on Netflix, and with it comes major reveals not just for what’s gone before, but what’s coming next.

Warning! Spoilers for Stranger Things Season 5 Volume 1 follow:

In Season 5, Episode 4, we see Noah Schnapp’s Will display powers, complete with Eleven-style nosebleed. When all seems lost, he is able to take control of multiple Demogorgons and kill them, stopping the invasion from claiming the lives of much of the cast.

It’s a huge moment for Stranger Things and a significant development in what we know of Will’s abilities. Season 5 had built up to this moment by showing a growing connection between Will and the hive mind Vecna had created within the Upside Down, to the point where he was able to see through the eyes of the Demogorgons himself. In a prior scene, Will was seemingly able to force a Demogorgon to hold back against his mother (Winona Ryder), and then, right at the death, he levels up, eyes white and arms aloft as this new power ignites inside of him.

Where this is all going in Volume 2 is a matter of intense speculation among fans — and something we here at IGN have discussed ourselves (check out our article, Stranger Things Season 5: Our Biggest Burning Questions After Episodes 1-4, to find out more).

In an interview with IGN, Noah Schnapp and Millie Bobby Brown reacted enthusiastically to the revelation that Will would get powers, and teased that Volume 2 will explain how it works. We asked the pair if they shared notes on how to do the arm movements associated with Stranger Things psychic powers, but Noah countered to say he wanted Will’s movement to feel different.

“I remember talking about this with The Duffers,” Noah said. “They’ll explain more in Volume 2, like how it works. But the powers come differently, so I wanted to make sure that it wasn’t Eleven’s thing.”

That line about the powers coming differently is an interesting one. It’s something the Duffers explained in detail in a recent interview with Variety. They confirmed Will’s powers are proximity based — unlike Eleven, who can turn her powers on and off at will, essentially Will must be near the hive mind, which Vecna created within the Upside Down in order to take control of its various monsters.

“He taps into the hive mind,” Matt Duffer explained, “and then he can manipulate anything within the hive. You’ll see how far he can take it as you continue to watch. But that’s how he’s able to manipulate the monster. So he can’t open a door, because the door is not part of the hive mind.”

And how did Will get his powers? They came as a result of being hooked into the hive mind, which we see at the start of Season 5 in a flashback scene that takes us back to the moment Will was kidnapped by Vecna a decade ago. “So it’s very different from Eleven in that regard,” Matt continued.

Also in our interview, Millie Bobby Brown reacted to the shock return of Kali/Eight, who it turns out was captured by the military and confined to a room in a base inside the Upside Down.

"I didn’t know that she was coming back, so when I read it I was like, oh my god! Kali!" she said. "It just felt like that storyline started and never actually got the closure it deserved. So I’m really excited. I think what’s really exciting about the next volume is that she’s back for a reason and it’s pretty impactful.”

Kali, otherwise known as Eight, is one of the children who were experimented on in Hawkins Lab, and is a sort of sister to Eleven. She has psychic abilities, but not telekinetic powers like Eleven does. Given what has happened to Kali, it seems likely she’s not going to be happy about recent events.

Stranger Things Season 5 debuts on Netflix in three parts, with the first four episodes arriving for the Thanksgiving holiday on November 26. The next three episodes premiere on Christmas, and the series finale will debut on the streamer and in over 350 theaters nationwide on New Year’s Eve.

It's been a rough few years for Tony Stark, but things are looking up as 2026 dawns. Marvel is gearing up for the launch of a new monthly Iron Man series, as Superman and Dark Crisis writer Joshua Williamson hops over to the Marvel Universe to establish a bold new status quo. Williamson will be joined by Exceptional X-Men artist Carmen Carnero, as the world is reminded of one critical truth - Iron Man isn't the real threat; Tony Stark's big brain is.

On Making the Jump From DC to Marvel

Williamson is one of the biggest names at DC these days, where he currently writes the flagship Superman series and has a major hand in the DC K.O. crossover event. That's why it was surprising to see Marvel announce a new Iron Man comic with Williamson's name attached. Williamson makes it clear that while he isn't leaving DC anytime soon, he did see an appeal in crossing over to the Marvel Universe for a change.

DC is my home, and I have a lot of love for that universe, its characters and the publisher as a whole," Williamson tells IGN. "But at the end of the day, I love all of comics, and there are a lot of Marvel characters that I love. And I would regret never working on them. I had to explore the opportunity. I’m not leaving DC, or Superman or GI Joe, but I knew I needed to take a swing at Marvel. I love that universe too much not to.

Williamson reveals that this series has been in the planning stages for the past year, saying, "A bit over a year ago I started to talk with Marvel editors here and there and that led to my awesome Iron Man editors offering me the new series. Iron Man is one of my favorite characters in all of comics, so it was impossible to turn down. I had to do it for the nerd in me, BUT I also had this idea for years that I wanted to do. I had a lot of thoughts on Tony and his world that I wanted to get down on paper. And luckily that story idea is the one we’re telling in the new series."

Williamson continues, "I also saw it as a challenge. It’s good to mix things up every once and while and surprise people by working on projects that are unexpected. And I think for a lot of people…me doing anything at Marvel was a surprise. But I’ve been having a lot of fun with the series and working with Carmen and my editors. That was also a big part of the appeal of working on a Marvel series, a chance to work with artists I’ve never worked with before."

Tony Stark's Dangerous Mind

As soon as Marvel announced the new volume of Iron Man, it became clear that one of the central themes of the book is going to be the notion that Tony Stark's mind, not the Iron Man armor, is the truly dangerous weapon. Williamson reveals that one of the goals is to explore what might have transpired if Tony never had that life-altering experience where Iron Man was forged in a cave. What other terrible weapons might have been created by someone so dangerous?

"I wanted the story to not be about the Iron Man armor but about Tony," Williamson says. Before Tony became Iron Man he was a selfish and ego driven person who used his genius for destructive gains. I’ve always wonder what role would someone like Tony have played if he never had his near-death experience in the bunker?"

Williamson continues, "When he thought he was going to die, it changed him. It was never the armor that Tony built in that cave. It was Tony. Tony is the creator. And I honed in on the idea of focusing on Tony as the creator who made a weapon…but TONY is the true weapon. We’ve seen him use his genius before in questionable ways, so yeah, Tony is the dangerous piece there. The armor has been stolen a million times now, and it always made me think…why don’t they kidnap Tony? Have him make new armors? And then it led me down a path of thinking about…what if instead of making new armors, someone made a new Tony?"

Despite that ominous premise, Williamson is also adamant that the new series is meant to be a fun superhero romp. As mentioned before, the past few years haven't exactly been kind to Tony Stark, and in some ways Williamson wants to get back to basics in terms of portraying Tony Stark as the suave, overconfident billionaire.

"I didn’t want Tony to read like a bummer," Williamson says. "I wanted the cocky version of Tony. The one who puts his foot in his mouth. The one who knows he is the smartest person in the room and doesn’t understand why that is a bad thing. I didn’t want to focus on the boardroom, or his money. I wanted to focus on Tony and pure super hero escapism. I want to see Tony’s role in the Marvel Universe in a different way. He is feeling a bit of 'is this all I’ve done with my life…build armor?' but he isn’t letting that get him down. He’s too distracted by Madame Masque and A.I.M. The events of the first five issues will make Tony confront a part of himself and then take him down a new path."

Williamson adds, "This leans a bit more classic with Tony as a suave Avenger. But he still feels a heavy responsibility to use his genius to help people. At the end of the day, I wanted to write a Tony that was fun to write and to read."

Iron Man's Enemies and Allies

Ryan Stegman and Adam Kubert's respective covers for Iron Man #1 hint at a large cast of both supporting characters and villains in the new series. Williamson confirms that Madame Masque will be a major focus of the series right out of the gate, with the villain doing nothing less than helping A.I.M. to build a new Tony Stark.

"Madame Masque knows Tony," Williamson says. "They once had a relationship. Maybe they still do? But Madame Masque knows some of Tony’s nightmares. She knows what he loses sleep over. And can use that against him. And she enlists A.I.M. to do it. Together they try to build a new Tony. And that makes Tony question his past, present and future."

But A.I.M. isn't the only threat here. It also appears that the series will be reviving the classic Thunderbolts roster, though Williamson confirms there's a new person wearing the mantle of Citizen V. But are they friend or foe?

"I’m a big fan of the original Thunderbolts and its cast. I had to find places for them," Williamson says. "Fixer has a role in the first five issues and the identity of the new Citizen V is a mystery that will be spread out across a few issues. It’s someone who sees Tony as dangerous and is keeping an eye on him. There will be a few mysteries and new pieces added to Tony’s ongoing mythology."

Most surprising of all, it appears that Norman Osborn will be part of Tony's supporting cast. Osborn himself is in the midst of a redemptive arc, even moonlighting as Spider-Man in the pages of Joe Kelly's The Amazing Spider-Man series. This series will dig deeper into their shared history and the current ties they share.

"I think there will be some concerns about Tony and what he is planning in response to what A.I.M. is doing from all kinds of corners of the Marvel Universe," Williamson teases. "But I also like the dynamic between the two of them. Two billionaires who have made…questionable choices and often seek redemption. I love writing the conflict between the two of them. They knew each other before they became Iron Man and Green Goblin, and I wanted to explore that relationship. Also when you have Norman…Spider-Man isn’t too far behind."

Designing the Mark 75 Armor

A new Iron man comic usually means a new suit of armor, and this series is no exception. Carnero has designed the Mark 75 armor, a suit that looks to be among the most powerful weapons in Tony's vast arsenal. But as for what specifically sets this new armor apart from its 74 predecessors, fans will just have to read the series to find out.

"Carmen did an amazing job on the new armor," Williamson says. "We wanted something that felt iconic. To start, we looked back at our favorite armors. My faves are Marks 4, 9, 12, 13, 15, 51 and 70. There are more but those were the ones that hit the vibe of we were going. How this armor is different for Tony will be played out across the first year. I don’t want to give it away yet. It’s a story piece that we’ll explore. Why Tony built this armor and now."

Williamson contineus, "Carmen took all the pieces that we’d talked about and created an awesome new look for Iron Man and Tony. She’s been a blast to work with and I hope people check out Iron Man #1 to see the beautiful work she’s done with Nolan Woodard!"

Black Friday has arrived, and as you’d probably expect, there are plenty of deals on Magic: The Gathering products. Our beloved, TCGplayer, however, is doing things a little differently.

Black Friday is finally here, and the sales weekend is already bringing in a whole batch of new deals to check out. That's especially true for Nintendo Switch fans, with up to 50% off a slew of Switch games, some top discounts on memory cards, and even some cheeky Switch 2 accessory deals.

For starters, while there isn't a new Switch 2 console deal, I'm still recommending folks pick up the Switch 2 Mario Kart 8 Bundle to save $30 on buying each item individually, while stock lasts.

Other standout Switch 2 Black Friday offers today include Switch 2 Joy Con 2 controllers from $71.99 via Woot (using the Woot App), and the released Samsung P9 512GB microSD Express card for just $74.99. This is the best option for expanding your console's internal memory.

There are also big discounts on games like Super Mario Odyssey, now just $30, alongside a whole host of other Switch games with mega discounts. Tears of the Kingdom finally got a deal as well, after being absent for most of the Black Friday build up, and is down to $38 at Woot (you can upgrade to the Switch 2 edition for $10 as well).

You can find all of Nintendo's Black Friday deals at the digital Nintendo eShop, as well as at participating retailers such as Amazon, Target, Best Buy, and Walmart.

Is Nintendo Switch 2 On Sale for Black Friday?

There’s no denying that the Nintendo Switch 2 has been a runaway sales success, but ever since its pricing was revealed, I've personally been wondering if we'll ever actually see a reasonable discount on the console.

But, as the nascent handheld hybrid comes into its first Black Friday sale, it’s not looking likely that the console will drop in price. Still, let me explain why not all is lost.

Your best bet in the Black Friday sales is to opt for one of the limited time Switch 2 bundles. The most popular, and still in stock, over the sale period has been the Mario Kart bundle, at $499. This includes the console and Mario Kart World, at a $30 discount compared to buying each individually.

It's a great way kickstart your Switch 2 collection, and the the best possible Switch 2 Black Friday deal we're getting. Everyone is after a Switch 2 for the holidays, whether for gifting or themselves, and the bundle is a limited-time offer, so if you're after one, I'd snap it while stock lasts, as I expect this will go before Christmas.

Switch 2 Games On Sale for Black Friday Deals

When it comes to games, my top pick is Super Mario Odyssey, which ranked fourth on IGN's "Top 100 Nintendo Games of All Time", for just 30 bucks. There's also Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door Remake, Splatoon 3, and more down to just $29.99.

But, there's also some brand new deals to check out thanks to Walmart's official Black Friday sale finally going live. The retailer has undercut Nintendo's official sale, bringing games like Luigi Mansion 3, Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, Donkey Kong Country Returns HD, and more down from their original $39.99 sale price, to now just $30. That's a huge additional saving, and what Black Friday is all about.

There's also loads of games at 20% off for today only at Woot right now. That's another proper Black Friday offer, if I ever saw one. Score Donkey Kong Bananza, Mario Kart World, and more at a discount for a limited time only via the Woot app.

Several third-party games also just got even better discounts as part of the new sale, including Star Wars Outlaws (including all its DLC) for $30 on Switch 2, $30 off its original list price.

There's also Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds at just $30 on Switch. That's 50% off, down from $59.99, and $15 less than every other retailer. Now that's a proper Black Friday bargain!

Another top game, now under the $20 sweet spot, is Sonic X Shadow Generations, for just $15 on Switch. That includes a free Switch 2 upgrade as well. That was $25 everywhere else earlier this week, so you're saving an additional $10 on top if you've buying now. What a steal!

Best Switch 2 Accessory Deals for Black Friday

If you're setting up a fresh Switch 2, or just trying to get your launch unit properly kitted out, the headliner accessory deals for Black Friday 2025 are finally here.

For starters, for any gamers who’ve been feeling the pinch enough that they can’t splurge on an extra pair of Joy-Con controllers for your Nintendo Switch 2, Woot has a double Black Friday deal that will save you almost $30.

Next up, Switch 2-compatible MicroSD Express cards have dropped to the lowest prices of the year for Black Friday, from the modest 256GB to the mega 1TB capacities. My favorite deal is still on the 512GB version, now just $74.99 at Amazon.

But, if the Samsung P9 microSD card deal is still a little too steep for you, you're better off waiting until Cyber Monday to secure a discount on the 256GB memory cards instead.

Dropping from $59.99 to $39.99, this will certainly catch the attention of Switch 2 owners, especially since microSD Express cards are the only option for expanding their console's internal storage.

How Do These Deals Compare to Last Year?

In all honesty, this year’s deals are a mixed bag. The Switch 2 joy con deals, the fact the console is actually in stock and the discounted bundle still available, Super Mario Odyssey and the rest of the OG Switch lineup for $30 or, and the Samsung P9 512GB memory card for $75 are clearly fanatasic offerings, and nothing to sniff your nose at.

But, we're also left wanting for a lot of other Switch 2 related deals, whether that's more games, accessories, or console deals. There aren't any discounts on Nintendo's first-party Switch 2 games like Mario Kart World, Donkey Kong Bananza, and Pokémon Legends Z-A.

Then when we're comparing the deals to last year, take the The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom discount, which is immensely popular (and for good reason). Last year, the original Switch version fell to just $29.99, which was a huge saving and a no-brainer for anyone who hadn’t picked it up yet.

This year, as there's a new Switch 2 edition that you can upgrade to or buy seperately, it's changed the dynamic completely. Say if Nintendo dropped Tears to $30 again, with a $10 upgrade, you could have the full Switch 2 version for just $40 instead of the new $70 MSRP.

While we've got the fairly good Woot discount, there's no way Nintendo would be caught with the game on sale right now, at least not for this year. The gaming giant wants you happily spend $70 on games like Tears of the Kingdom for Switch 2, not $40-$50. We can only help next year brings along some better Switch 2 deals, and keep our fingers crossed for no more price hikes.
