Vampire Survivors VR officially announced for Meta Quest

14 novembre 2025 à 12:00

Facebook’s Meta Quest platform has been home to many VR ports of popular ‘flat’ games, including the likes of Resident Evil 4 VR; Fruit Ninja; Roblox; Tetris Effect: Connected and more. In a curious announcement, the visually-overwhelming reverse-bullet-hell (aka bullet heaven) indie hit Vampire Survivors has been announced for Meta’s VR platform.

Available to purchase right now for the relatively modest price of £7.99, Vampire Survivors VR fortunately does not put you into the eyes of the survivors themselves.

Instead, the game is presented as a “dioramic 3D voxel created environment” – offering a familiar yet surprisingly new perspective on the battlefield.

Unfortunately, as with many of these exciting virtual reality ports, Vampire Survivors VR is limited to the Meta Quest platform (namely the Quest 2, 3/S and Pro).

That said, if you do own a Quest headset, Vampire Survivors VR looks to be a rather satisfying visual experience – one which hopefully shouldn’t make you feel motion sick.

KitGuru says: What do you think of this announcement? Would you like to see more VR games take this diorama approach to its perspective? Let us know down below.

Sony celebrates PlayStation 5’s fifth anniversary with new player stats

14 novembre 2025 à 11:00

Though it feels like just yesterday, the latest generation PlayStation 5 is now officially half a decade old. Celebrating this milestone, Sony has shared a ton of interesting stats pertaining to the past 5 years of PlayStation – including the fact that over 100 billion hours of gameplay has been enjoyed so far on the system.

Publishing a post to the PlayStation Blog, the VP of Product Management at SIE ‘Shuzo Kikuchi’ wrote:

“Five years ago, in November 2020, PlayStation 5 marked a new era of speed, immersion, and creativity. As we celebrate its fifth anniversary, we’re looking back at how PS5 has evolved – year by year – through system software updates, new accessories, and community milestones that continue to redefine play.”

One of the first stats highlighted by Sony was the fact that since 2020, the PS5’s oft-forgotten ‘Share Screen’ feature has in fact been used more than 1.6 billion times – totalling over 900 million hours.

Beyond this, the past generation has seen Sony putting a greater emphasis on accessibility. This seems to be paying off, with the console maker revealing that 1-in-4 PS5 users have turned on at least one accessibility feature in the console’s settings.

PlayStation Sony

The full list of infographics and stats can be found HERE, but some of the other most notable include:

  • Cross-generation share play has been used over 700 million times
  • 5.6 billion game captures (screenshots/clips) have been shared
  • Over 1 billion voice chat sessions have occurred
  • 40 billion trophies have been earned
  • More than 100 billion hours of gameplay has taken place on PS5

As mentioned, in many ways it feels as though the 9th generation of consoles arrived just yesterday. That said, even 5 years on, the PS5 still has plenty of life left within it. It will be interesting to see what these stats look like once the PS5 reaches 10 years on the market.

KitGuru says: How long have you had a PS5 for? Did you pick the console up day-one? How many hours do you think you’ve played since the PS5 launched? Let us know down below.

Red Dead Redemption 1 has been rated for PS5, Series X|S and Switch 2

14 novembre 2025 à 10:15

Well over a decade on from its initial release on PS3 and Xbox 360, the much-loved Red Dead Redemption was finally ported to ‘modern’ systems in 2023. While a decent upgrade, the remaster was technically only released for the PS4/Pro and the OG switch (as well as PC), with Xbox users having to make do with an enhanced backwards compatible Xbox 360 version. In an unexpected move, it appears as though the original Red Dead Redemption is set to receive native current-gen and Switch 2 ports in the near future.

As discovered by ResetEra user –R, the ESRB (Entertainment Software Ratings Board) published a listing for Red Dead Redemption coming to the PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2.

Red Dead Redemption

While many fans would likely have preferred to get a current-gen version of its sequel RDR2, having a native PS5 and Series X|S version of the OG is still welcome.

That said, given the fact that Red Dead Redemption already runs at 4k60fps on the PS4 Pro version (as well as the backwards compatible Xbox 360 version on Series X), it will be interesting to see what specific enhancements are added with this impending release – perhaps DualSense support?

KitGuru says: What do you think of this re-release? Would you prefer if Rockstar had announced a current-gen port of RDR2? Let us know down below.

Sony to cut PS5 prices by up to €150 for Black Friday

13 novembre 2025 à 18:00

While we typically see console prices coming down over the course of a generation, the exact opposite has happened with PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, with both sets of consoles getting price hikes years after launch. Fortunately, that doesn't mean that holiday season deals will stop, with reports indicating that PS5 prices will be slashed by up to €150 starting on Black Friday.

According to billbil-kun of Dealabs, a reliable source for PlayStation-related leaks, the PS5 Digital Edition will get a price cut of €150 for Black Friday, while the standard edition console should receive €100 price cut. If accurate, this would bring prices down to €349 for the Digital Edition and €449 for the standard PS5.

PS5 CFO

The PS5 Pro should also get a similar price cut to the standard PS5, bringing the sale price down to €699.

Sony has typically shaved around €100 off of the price of the PS5 each year for Black Friday, although nowadays, the deal isn't quite as good due to repeated price hikes. Still, if you want a PS5, Black Friday / early December should be the best time to buy.

Guerrilla Games next ‘big project’ is a multiplayer spin-off, not Horizon 3

13 novembre 2025 à 17:45

Earlier today, NCSoft and Sony officially announced Horizon Steel Frontiers, a new MMO set in the Horizon universe. Curiously, the game was only announced for PC and mobile platforms, seemingly skipping PlayStation entirely. Now, we may know why that is – Guerrilla Games, the creators of Horizon, are working on their own multiplayer spin-off game.

Jason Schreier has learned that Guerrilla Games' next major release will not be Horizon 3, a continuation of the single-player games, but instead a multiplayer spin-off. However, Schreier did not reveal any further details about the game. As this is the next big project for the studio, it means that Horizon 3 will be pushed further down the line, so fans will have to wait longer to see the end of Aloy's journey.

This is not the first time that Guerrilla Games has been linked to a multiplayer spin-off. Prior to the launch of Horizon Zero Dawn, it is understood that Guerrilla Games explored co-op functionality and other multiplayer elements, before settling on a single-player-only adventure. In recent years, Guerrilla has also posted job listings calling for developers with multiplayer experience.

It is unclear exactly when Guerrilla will have its own Horizon multiplayer game ready, but it is expected to arrive during the PS5 generation, before the release of Sony's next-generation hardware. If it slips though, it could end up being a cross-generation title.

Discuss on our Facebook page, HERE.

KitGuru Says: I'm not loving this trend of forcing single-player franchises to grow into multiplayer, multi-genre powerhouses. With that said, Guerrilla Games does have roots in multiplayer game design, having worked on the Killzone games prior to Horizon.

Amazon drops new trailer for Fallout season 2 ahead of December premiere

13 novembre 2025 à 17:15

The Fallout TV series garnered universal acclaim for its tone, sets and story. Season Two is now just a month away and in preparation, Amazon has now uploaded the full trailer for season two.

Amazon had released a teaser trailer for Fallout Season Two over the Summer. This new trailer is much longer, giving us a better look at what's to come over the next eight episodes:

Last month, Amazon had also rolled out a new set of character posters for the series, showing Lucy surrounded by a group of raiders, Maximus surrounded by members of the Brotherhood of Steel, Ghoul surrounded by … other ghouls and of course, CX404, otherwise known as Dogmeat, surrounded by Radscorpions.

In Fallout Season 1, we got to see Lucy escape from the vault and discover life in the wasteland. In season two, Lucy's journey will continue, moving on from the rubble of California and over to the Nevada desert to find Mr House and learn more about the conspiracy that sent the world into chaos.

Cooler Master expands MasterFrame lineup with compact 400 Mesh chassis

13 novembre 2025 à 16:30

Cooler Master has announced the MasterFrame 400 Mesh, a compact PC case designed for Micro-ATX and Mini-ITX builds. The chassis brings the company’s modular MasterFrame design to a smaller format, emphasising airflow and flexible orientation.

The case supports vertical or horizontal layouts, with repositionable brackets to adapt to different setups. Despite its reduced footprint, it accommodates full-size components, including graphics cards up to 390mm long and CPU air coolers up to 190mm tall. Cooling options are extensive, with room for up to nine fans and multiple radiators, including 360mm units mounted at the top. A mesh front panel maximizes intake, while a tempered-glass side panel provides a clear view of hardware.

Connectivity includes USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 Type-C, dual USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, and a 3.5mm audio combo jack. A SickleFlow 120mm ARGB fan comes pre-installed, offering basic airflow and lighting out of the box. The case will be available in silver and black finishes, with aluminum accents and curved edges rounding out the design.

Cooler Master positions the MasterFrame 400 Mesh as the most accessible entry in the MasterFrame lineup, aimed at builders who want modularity and airflow in a smaller footprint.

The MasterFrame 400 Mesh launches in Europe starting January 2026, with rollout varying by country. Pricing is set at €149.

NCSoft targets H2 2026 for Aion 2 global launch, details new 2026 lineup

13 novembre 2025 à 15:30

NCSoft has confirmed the global launch window for Aion 2, targeting the second half of 2026. The announcement came during its Q3 2025 earnings report. While the rest of the world has a bit of a wait, the PC and mobile MMORPG is set to launch in South Korea and Taiwan next week.

During the investor call (via Massively Overpowered) where it confirmed the release window for its upcoming game, NCSoft also made a specific promise regarding its business model. According to the developer, Aion 2 will feature a less aggressive monetisation than Throne and Liberty in an effort to secure a wider user base.

As a direct successor to the original Aion (released in 2009), Aion 2 is set 200 years later in a game world said to span over 1,200 square kilometers. The original's signature flight mechanics are returning for both exploration and aerial combat. The game is built on Unreal Engine 5 and will support Nvidia DLSS 4 Multi Frame Generation at launch. NCSoft is promising eight classes, over 200 solo and group dungeons, and a variety of PvP modes, including 1v1 arenas and large-scale faction warfare.

Aion 2 is just part of a busy 2026 schedule for the publisher. It will be joined by Cinder City, an open-world third-person shooter with MMO elements for PC and consoles. Also slated for 2026 is Limit Zero Breakers, a free-to-play anime-style co-op action RPG for PC and mobile, and Time Takers, a team-based PC and console shooter featuring a unique ‘Time Energy' resource for revives and skill upgrades. With a release date not yet set, MMO fans can also look forward to the upcoming Horizon Steel Frontiers, an MMO set in the Horizon universe that was just announced at G-Star 2025.

AMD makes 3D V-Cache more accessible with £240 Ryzen 5 7500X3D

13 novembre 2025 à 14:30

The AMD Ryzen 5 7500X3D is no longer just a rumour. AMD has officially announced its new “budget-focused” gaming CPU, aiming to bring 3D V-Cache to a wider market with a launch price of £239.99. This chip packs the same 64MB slice of L3 cache as its more expensive siblings.

To achieve this price, significant concessions are required. The 7500X3D is a 6-core, 12-thread CPU based on the older Zen 4 architecture, rather than the newer Zen 5. While six cores are fine for most games, the biggest trade-off appears to be clock speed. The Ryzen 5 7500X3D has a maximum boost clock of 4.5GHz, 500MHz lower than the Ryzen 7 7800X3D.

This isn't the first 6-core X3D chip. AMD previously released the Ryzen 5 7600X3D, which actually had a higher 4.7GHz boost speed, but that CPU's availability was limited. The new 7500X3D is receiving a full global release. The low clock speed is a direct result of its 65W TDP, which means it will be relatively easy to cool.

As expected, AMD has provided its own internal benchmarks, claiming that the 7500X3D is, on average, 22% faster than the Core Ultra 5 245KF in a suite of 10 esports titles at 1080p, with a lead as high as 42% in PUBG. In AAA games, the claimed advantage is approximately 13%. According to AMD's data, the Core i5 14600K is also slower, but less significantly, with the AMD chip being 12% faster on average in esports and 8% in AAA titles.

Sony and NCSoft’s Horizon MMO announced for PC, mobile but not PS5

13 novembre 2025 à 15:45

Over the past year, we've been repeatedly hearing about a new MMO based on PlayStation's Horizon franchise. This was partially confirmed earlier this year when Sony announced its new partnership with NCSoft. Now, the big game has been revealed as Horizon Steel Frontiers.

Horizon Steel Frontiers is an MMORPG spin-off set in the same universe as Horizon Zero Dawn and Horizon Forbidden West. The game will take players to a new area known as the Deadlands, which you can get a preview of in the reveal trailer below:

Interestingly, there has been absolutely no mention of this game coming to PS5, Sony's flagship platform and the console most Horizon fans use. Instead, the game has been announced for PC and mobile, with an emphasis on cross-platform multiplayer. We have to assume that there will be a console version eventually, as having a Horizon game specifically excluded from the PlayStation platform wouldn't make much sense at all.

There is no release date for Horizon Steel Frontiers yet, but we should learn much more about the game in 2026.

Discuss on our Facebook page, HERE.

KitGuru Says: It certainly looks like a Horizon game, but this trailer doesn't really give us a feel for the multiplayer portion of the game. The lack of PS5 version so far is also incredibly puzzling.

Leo Says 82: AMD AI is making money

13 novembre 2025 à 14:23

Here at KitGuru we are all about PC technology and love to talk about clock speeds, cache and outrageous gaming frame rates. Balanced against that, the companies that supply the kit we adore are driven by money so when AMD hosts a Financial Analysts Meeting we tune in, hold our nose and listen carefully.

We live in strange AI times, and just in case you missed the message, the Previous Tiddler AMD currently has 2.3x the market capitalisation of Previous Giant Intel. In our video you can see how their various financial charts head towards the heavens and perhaps you will ask yourself ‘will we ever see a sensibly priced gaming graphics card again?'

AMD also gave the smallest of hints about their Zen 6 and Zen 7 CPU technologies. While we are very keen to see this new hardware we expect Zen 6 Venice EPYC will arrive in 2026 but do not expect the Desktop Zen 6 Olympic Ridge to appear until 2027.

KitGuru Says: AMD is having the time of its life as it rides the wave of AI investment. We just hope the Client side of the company gives a thought to PC gamers.

The Rogue Prince of Persia comes to Nintendo Switch next month

13 novembre 2025 à 13:30

The Rogue Prince of Persia is a highly slick and satisfying 2D side-scrolling rogue-like metroidvania from Evil Empire – the current team working on the equally-as-excellent Dead Cells. Initially arriving in Early Access back in 2024, the game saw its full 1.0 release last August alongside a console launch for both Xbox and PlayStation. Though slightly later than the rest, The Rogue Prince of Persia has now been announced to be coming to the Switch family of devices next month.

Making the surprise announcement, Ubisoft officially confirmed that the excellent Rogue Prince of Persia is coming to the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 before the tail-end of the year – launching on the 15th of December.

Pre-orders for the game have yet to go live and so no official pricing has been announced. That said, assuming it costs the same as it does on other platforms, expect the Switch version to launch at around £25.

The Rogue Prince of Persia is one of the most satisfying rogue-likes in a while, with its seamless parkour mechanics tying into the game’s excellent soundtrack alongside a strong sense of momentum to make for an overall fun experience which is certainly worth trying.

Kingdom Come Deliverance II celebrates 4 million copies sold; Royal Edition announced

13 novembre 2025 à 12:30

7 years after the release of the first game, Warhorse Studios re-entered the limelight with the official launch of the much-anticipated Kingdom Come Deliverance II back in February. Seeing near-immediate success with over 1 million copies sold in 24 hours, KCDII has continued to perform well in the months since, having now officially surpassed 4 million copies sold.

Making the announcement on their socials, the team at Warhorse Studios wrote:

“4 million copies of Kingdom Come: Deliverance II sold. We can't thank you enough for helping us reach this incredible milestone. Every one of you – players, fans, modders, creators, and long-time supporters – made this possible. From all of us at Warhorse, thank you for standing by Henry's side and believing in what we do.”

As mentioned, Kingdom Come Deliverance II sold 1 million copies in its first 24 hours. This then grew to 3 million within its first 3 months on the market. While a majority of titles do sell the most during their launch period, the original Kingdom Come Deliverance continued to push millions of copies years into its life – recently hitting 10 million total sales.

Assuming KCDII has equally as long legs as the first game, we can expect the sequel to hit many more milestones over the coming months and years. It will be interesting to see whether the recently-announced Royal Edition (as well as expected GOTY nominations) will wind up giving Kingdom Come Deliverance II a notable sales boost throughout the remainder of the year.

Gran Turismo 7’s first paid DLC brings 50 new races, Sophy AI 3.0 and more next month

13 novembre 2025 à 11:30

Gran Turismo 7 has received countless consistent free updates ever since the racing title first launched back in 2022, adding new vehicles; tracks; expanded modes; enemy AI and much more. While the free updates are set to continue with the upcoming Spec III patch, Polyphony Digital has now announced its first paid Gran Turismo 7 ‘Power Pack’ DLC.

Making the announcement during Sony’s most recent Japan-focused State of Play, Polyphony Digital confirmed that Gran Turismo 7 will be getting its first paid DLC in the form of the ‘Power Pack’.

Set to arrive on the 4th of December (at the same time as the aforementioned Spec III update), this DLC brings with it quite a lot in the way of new content – and some questionable decisions:

  • 50 new races across 20 themed categories “inspired by global automotive and motorsport traditions”
  • 24-hour endurance racing “for players who crave the ultimate test of skill and stamina”
  • Full race weekends where you can “practice, qualify, and compete in the main event for a true racing simulation”
  • Gran Turismo Sophy 3.0 AI “for intense, tail-to-nose battles that push your limits”
  • 5,000,000 in-game Credits

While the addition of 50 new races in particular is welcome to see for all those who enjoy GT for its single player ‘campaign’ experience, the limiting of Sophy AI 3.0 to those with the DLC is odd.

For those unaware, Sophy AI was first introduced to GT7 as a free update in early 2023. Described as a “revolutionary superhuman racing AI racing agent,” the AI rival was improved and expanded upon in subsequent updates; hitting version 2.1 just earlier this year.

Depending on how complex this new version of Sophy is, PlayStation / Polyphony Digital may be able to justify its inclusion as part of the paid DLC. We will have to wait and see when the free Spec III update – and the Power Pack DLC – releases next month.

Discuss on our Facebook page HERE.

KitGuru says: What did you think of the State of Play? Do you welcome paid DLC coming to GT7? Should Sophy AI 3.0 be part of the free update instead? Let us know your thoughts down below.

Fractal Ion 3 Gold 1000W PSU Review

13 novembre 2025 à 10:36

It has been some time since we last looked at a power supply from Fractal, so today we check out one of their latest Ion 3 Gold units. The new range of Ion 3 power supplies are available in black (with the 1000W model also available in white) and are fully modular, are ATX 3.1 compatible, incorporate Japanese capacitors and are protected with a full 10-year warranty. The series is also 80 Plus Gold certified, though Fractal don't appear to be working with Cybenetics for any certification which is an oversight in my opinion as Cybenetics is the superior testing platform.

Fractal are releasing three units in this new range of power supplies, a 750W, an 850W and a 1000W. Scan have listed them for pre-order over HERE. UK release date is said to be sometime in December 2025.

750W Ion 3 = £99.98 inc. VAT.
850W Ion 3 = £109.99 inc. VAT
1000W Ion 3 = £139.39 inc. VAT (white and black options are the same price).

Fractal are working with Seasonic as the OEM for the new Ion 3 Gold series.

Key features:

  • ATX 3.1 compatible for next-generation components, supporting ATX 3.0 power excursion to ensure stability with upcoming graphics cards.
  • 16-pin PCIe Gen5 12V-2×6 600W cable provides native support for modern graphics cards. Shortened sense pins improve reliability and powers down the GPU
    if the connection comes loose.
  • 80PLUS Gold certification delivers high efficiency, with reduced energy use and heat generation thanks to optimized power delivery.
  • Fully modular design simplifies installation with reduced clutter inside the system.
  • Zero RPM semi-passive mode keeps the fan off until 30% load and allows silent operation under lighter loads.
  • Fractal UltraFlex cables provide superior flexibility for clean cable management.
  • Unsleeved 24-pin ATX motherboard cable improves handling and routing.
  • 140 mm Fractal Momentum fan with fluid dynamic bearing (FDB) ensures lower noise, cooler operation, and a longer lifespan.
  • Premium 105° Japanese capacitors provide maximum reliability and durability.
  • 10-year warranty and full electrical protection suite offer long-term peace of mind.

Helldivers II “is doing extremely well” thanks in part to Xbox launch

13 novembre 2025 à 10:15

Helldivers II is easily one of PlayStation’s biggest success stories in recent years, with the co-op PvE shooter selling over 15 million copies within its first year on the market across PS5 and PC. The game then received a major boost in eyes following its surprise arrival on Xbox in late August of this year. According to Sony, this most recent launch has helped the game see “a significant increase in sales of the title year-on-year.”

As part of Sony’s latest fiscal earnings report (transcribed by WindowsCentral), the console maker confirmed that the launch of Helldivers II on Xbox has been a success, saying:

“Helldivers 2, which was also released for Xbox in August of this year, is doing extremely well, not only attracting new users on Xbox, but also seeing increased engagement from existing users on PS5 and PC. This resulted in a significant increase in sales of the title year-on-year.”

Helldivers Xbox

Of course, it is worth noting that Arrowhead Game Studios have been heavily supporting Helldivers II since its launch on PS5 and PC last year, adding all sorts from new forms of progression to new enemy types; weapons; upgrades and much more – leading to bumps in engagement even before the game’s arrival on Microsoft's console.

All that said, it is safe to say that Sony’s experiment in bringing Helldivers II to Xbox seems to have paid off handsomely. It will be interesting to see where Sony and Arrowhead go from here.

Valve officially unveils the Steam Frame, Steam Controller 2 and Steam Machine console

12 novembre 2025 à 19:10

In recent months, rumours have been swirling around new hardware from Valve, the company behind Steam. Today, the curtain was officially lifted, revealing not only the Steam Frame wireless VR headset, but also a second-generation Steam Controller, which serves as a more traditional gamepad compared to the original. On top of all of that, Valve's Steam Machine is also making a grand comeback, this time as a first-party console to complement the Steam Deck.

The Steam Frame is, as previously predicted, Valve's wireless VR solution. Replacing the Index, this is a lightweight VR headset with Touch-style controllers and built-in sensors. It isn't just a VR headset though, it is its own PC, complete with SteamOS installed, so you can download and run traditional PC games and play them on a massive virtual screen.

Just like with the Valve Index, the Steam Frame is designed with comfort at the forefront. The dimensions of the headset are compact and slim, so you won't have too much weight hanging off your face. The headband is designed to easily slip on and off, and there is a tuning dial in the headset to help you fine-tune the fit.

Custom lenses have been created for the headset to create a large viewing window and keep the image sharp from edge-to-edge. Better yet, you'll have a total pixel count of 2160×2160, so you shouldn't even really notice gaps between the pixels, something that was an issue for early-generation VR headsets. Games will feel fluid too, with a full 144Hz refresh rate.

Just like the Steam Deck, Valve will have a ‘Steam Frame Verified' system in place, so you'll easily be able to tell at a glance which titles in your library, or on the Steam Store, can comfortably run on the headset.

Now the second announcement today is one we did not expect. Valve is bringing back the Steam Machine. It is a small cube-shaped PC, one that measures smaller than a banana, meaning it should be easy to integrate into most gaming set-ups. If you really don't want to see it, it should be small enough to stash behind your TV, or a plant, or just about anything. The faceplate of the Steam Machine is also removable, so you can swap out the plain black one for a custom one of your choosing.

Valve is promising 4K/60FPS gaming from the Steam Machine (with FSR), making it ideal for living room gaming. Under the hood, it is powered by a custom AMD chip with six Zen 4 CPU cores, alongside a semi-custom RDNA 3 GPU with 28 Compute Units, 8GB of VRAM and a 110W TDP. As you would expect, it comes with SteamOS pre-installed, and it has plenty of USB ports to hook up a controller, keyboard and mouse, along with any speakers or additional peripherals. Through its HDMI 2.0 connection, you can achieve 4K at 120Hz, or alternatively, you can use the DisplayPort 1.4 port for 4K resolution at up to 240Hz.

Just like the Steam Deck and Steam Frame, games on the Steam Store will all be subject to a verification programme, so you'll easily be able to filter your library, or the Steam Store, for games that will reliably run and play well on the system. As this is essentially a desktop PC, you can always exit the Steam Big Picture mode and access the full desktop, enabling you to install your own apps, get work done or browse the web.

To complement the Steam Machine, Valve has also announced its new Steam Controller. This is a lot larger than your typical Xbox or PlayStation style game pad, thanks to the addition of two large trackpad surfaces underneath the thumbsticks. It also has gyro controls, HD rumble and a wireless charging puck. Imagine a Steam Deck without the screen and the two controller halves smushed together and bam, you have the new Steam controller. It isn't quite as nice looking as the original to me, but if you are after a pad with lots of functionality, this one appears to have it in spades.

Unfortunately, we do not have pricing information just yet, but all three products are due to launch in ‘early 2026', so expect more news within the next few months.

KitGuru Says: Valve now has an entire hardware ecosystem for PC gamers, fully leveraging the power of the Steam platform. As we've seen with the Steam Deck, Valve is also likely to support these systems for a long time, so anyone buying won't have to worry about a ‘Gen 2' being just around the corner. Valve has shown a willingness to wait for technology to deliver truly meaningful upgrades, rather than jump at the first opportunity to push customers to newer, more expensive devices.

12 novembre 2025 à 18:00

FromSoftware and Bandai Namco have announced the first expansion for Elden Ring Nightreign – The Forsaken Hollows. Better yet, the DLC will launch for all platforms in just a couple of weeks.

The Forsaken Hollows introduces two new playable characters, Scholar and Undertaker, each offering distinct abilities. Aside from the two new playable characters, the DLC also adds two more boss fights, and a new in-game event called The Great Hollow. In The Great Hollow, players will explore a vast cavity filled with ruins, temples and sacred towers that hint at an ancient civilisation, all while avoiding cursed crystals that drain life.

PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium line-up revealed for November 2025

12 novembre 2025 à 17:30

Each month, Sony reveals a new batch of titles for the PlayStation Plus Extra library, alongside new ‘classic' titles for PlayStation Plus Premium members. November 2025's line-up has just been announced, and as expected, Grand Theft Auto V is the headliner, but there are nine other titles also being made available at no extra cost.

Grand Theft Auto V will be available to PlayStation Plus Extra subscribers once again, marking the third time that the game has joined the library. It is likely to remain playable for a couple of months at least, but it will eventually be removed again, as Take-Two prefers to rotate games in and out of subscription services, rather than leave them in there long-term.

Here is the full list of titles joining PlayStation Plus Extra this month:

  • Grand Theft Auto V — PS5, PS4
  • Pacific Drive — PS5
  • Still Wakes the Deep — PS5
  • Insurgency: Sandstorm — PS5, PS4
  • Thank Goodness You’re Here! — PS5, PS4
  • The Talos Principle II — PS5
  • Monster Jam Showdown — PS5, PS4
  • MotoGP 25 — PS5, PS4

Those subscribed to PlayStation Plus Premium will get one extra ‘classic' game to install this month – Tomb Raider: Anniversary, specifically, the original PS2 version.

Subscribers will be able to download all of these titles starting on November 18th.

Fallout 3 tipped to get Oblivion-style remaster

12 novembre 2025 à 17:00

Bethesda surprised us all earlier this year with the release of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered. As it turns out, they may have another big remaster cooking up – Fallout 3.

We've been hearing rumours about a Fallout 3 remaster for years. However, now that Bethesda has discovered this new method with Virtuos, allowing them to completely overhaul the graphics while leaving the underlying code untouched, a remaster is more feasible than ever.

With The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, the game essentially runs the original game under the hood, with an Unreal Engine 5 wrapper to handle graphics. This means that the entire game remains intact from the original release, with no extra work required to rebuild systems and mechanics. This also has the added benefit of carrying forward mod support.

While Bethesda has not publicly announced any plans for a remaster for Fallout 3, VGC claims to have heard that the project does exist and is being actively worked on, with plans to make it similar to the Oblivion remaster.

If true, it would help Bethesda bridge its massive gap between major projects. Right now, the company is hard at work on The Elder Scrolls 6, but as we learned recently, the game is still ‘a long ways off'. Unfortunately for Fallout fans, this also means that Fallout 5 is no closer to release, and likely won't see the light of day until after 2030.

While not a remaster, recently Bethesda did also release an Anniversary Edition version of Fallout 4, although the update has not been particularly well received amongst PC players.

Spider-Man will be playable in next Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls beta

12 novembre 2025 à 16:00

Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, the new fighting game from Arc System Works, is getting another beta test soon. This time around, fans will get access to even more of the character roster, including Spider-Man for the first time.

The new beta test will be taking place on December 5th and will run right through to the end of December 8th, giving fans three full days to put the game through its paces. The previous beta test allowed fans to check out characters like Iron Man, Captain America, Storm, Doctor Doom and more. This new beta test is notable thanks to the addition of two more fan-favourite characters – Spider-Man and Ghost Rider.

In the announcement trailer above you can see some new gameplay for both Spider-Man and Ghost Rider, both of which will be in the full roster of characters at launch.

Unlike traditional tag fighters, Fighting Souls introduces a 4v4 system. Matches begin with one primary fighter and an assist character, but as battles progress, players unlock access to their full team. This mechanic is tied to mid‑match conditions such as damage thresholds and “Wall Breaks,” a feature borrowed from Guilty Gear Strive that transitions fights across multiple arenas.

There is no release date for Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls just yet, but the full game will be launching on PS5 and PC sometime in 2026.

KitGuru Says: I became an Arc System Works fan through Dragon Ball Fighterz, and it looks like that same level of attention to detail is carrying over nicely to Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls. We will no doubt see this game play a pivotal role at next year's EVO fighting game tournaments.

Silicon Power launches Xpower XS90 Gen 5 SSD with 14.3GB/s read speeds

12 novembre 2025 à 11:30

Silicon Power (SP) has announced its new flagship M.2 SSD, the XPower XS90. This drive is the company's fastest to date, built on the PCIe Gen 5 x4 interface and designed to handle demanding workloads from AI, high-end gaming, and professional content creation.

The XS90 drive's performance is attributed to a new TSMC-built 6 nm controller, paired with an LPDDR4 DRAM cache. Silicon Power is claiming sequential read speeds of up to 14,300 MB/s and sequential write speeds of up to 13,400 MB/s (10,500 MB/s on the 1 TB drive).

Interestingly, the product is being marketed with a no-heatsink design, making it compatible with a broader range of motherboards and laptops. However, given the high speeds, users will almost certainly need to provide their own cooling, such as a motherboard's integrated M.2 heatsink, to prevent thermal throttling.

The XPower XS90 will be available in 1 TB, 2 TB, and 4 TB capacities. It supports the NVMe 2.0 protocol and ships in a standard M.2 2280 form factor. Silicon Power is backing the drive with a 5-year limited warranty.

KitGuru says: Although slightly slower (at least on paper) than most recently launched flagship PCIe 5.0 SSDs, if priced correctly, it can still become an interesting solution, especially now that SSD storage prices are increasing.
