The Anne Frank Trust UK, the education nonprofit she co-founded, announced that Schloss died in London on Saturday.

Eva Schloss, the Holocaust survivor and step-sister of Anne Frank, died aged 96 on Saturday.

Eva Schloss survived Auschwitz as a teenager and spent the rest of her life speaking publicly about where hatred and racism can lead.

Schloss wrote several books about her survival and its aftermath, using her own story to continue the work of Holocaust remembrance.

Eva Schloss lived as a child directly opposite the Frank family before both families were forced into hiding. Anne Frank is pictured.

Eva Schloss and her mother were deported to Auschwitz-Birkenau in 1944 and survived until the camp was liberated by Soviet forces in January 1945.

The dead were identified as Arius Thompson, 4, Isaiah Johnson, 13, Evelyn Johnson, 88, and Heather Thompson, 32.

Heather Thompson, 32, is suspected of killing her two young sons and their grandmother just before dying by suicide, according to authorities.

Two of the victims were identified as Arius Thompson, 4;, and Isaiah Johnson, 13.

Heather Thompson was said to be estranged from the children's father, Jeremiah Thompson (above).

The family’s home sits along East Little Richland Road, a rural stretch of Waverly, Tenn.

Deputies with the Humphreys County Sheriff’s Office discovered the four bodies during a welfare check at a home in Waverly on Friday morning.
