Canada’s trade resilience faces uncertainty as CUSMA renegotiation looms

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Canada has fared pretty well amid U.S. President Donald Trump’s trade war so far. As Prime Minister Mark Carney likes to point out, the country has the best trade deal going with the United States, thanks to the Canada-U.S.-Mexico Agreement (CUSMA), with over 85 per cent of exports to America being tariff-free.
