SteelSeries today announced the arrival of its Arctis Nova 3 Wireless headset and the accompanying Arctis App, expanding its Arctis Nova family. This launch arrives as gaming continues its meteoric rise, with Newzoo forecasting nearly 2.9 billion global gamers by Q1 2025 and a sustained rebound in console gaming.
The new Arctis Nova 3 Wireless (3X and 3P) features custom-engineered neodymium magnetic speaker drivers developed in-house to deliver audio with deep bass and intricate detail. This is complemented by immersive 360° Spatial Audio, fully compatible with technologies like Tempest 3D Audio for PS5 and Microsoft Spatial Sound. Communication is crystal clear thanks to the new Arctis Nova 3 Wireless Series microphone with 32KHz/16-bit audio support.
Versatility is key with the Arctis Nova 3 Wireless series. A convenient quick-switch button allows transitions between 2.4 GHz wireless mode and Bluetooth 5.3. Mobile connections remain on standby during gaming, ensuring players receive call alerts, while separate EQ profiles maintain distinct settings for gaming and on-the-go audio. The compact USB-C dongle offers universal compatibility, effortlessly moving between Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, PC, Meta Quest, handhelds, and USB-C-enabled devices.
Optimised USB-C rapid charging delivers up to 9 hours of usage from just a 15-minute charge. A full charge can provide over 30 hours in 2.4G wireless mode and over 40 hours when utilising Bluetooth. Comfort and durability are also important, so Steelseries designed these headsets with a tough yet flexible build with dual-hinged arms and breathable memory foam ear cushions. Weighing in at 260g, the Nova 3 Wireless Series uses height-adjustable arms and a flexible secondary cloth headband, distributing pressure evenly. These headsets are available in black, white, bright blue, and lavender for £99.99/$109.99/€109.99.
In addition to the new headset series, the Arctis App is being introduced as a central point for real-time audio customisation. This app provides access to over 200 game-specific audio presets, all crafted by audio engineers, esports experts, and game developers. This means players can fine-tune their sound profiles for popular titles such as Call of Duty, Fortnite, and GTA without leaving the game.
