This is a great opportunity to save an extra 20% off Bose's entire inventory of certified refurbished headphones, earbuds, soundbars, and portable speakers with you apply coupon code "HAPPY30TH". This code stacks with the instant discount you're already getting for choosing a certified refurbished model, for a total combined savings of up to 52% off.

eBay Anniversary Sale Sale: Extra 20% Off the Bose Outlet Store

I've broken out some of the more notable discounts below.

Bose Smart Ultra Soundbar

The Bose Smart Ultra Soundbar is the highest end sound bar speaker in Bose's product lineup. The soundbar measures 41" long and houses a 5.1.2ch array consisting of nine total speakers. Two of these are upward firing dipole speakers for spatial audio and Dolby Atmos supported content. The soundbar also incorporates Bose's TrueSpace technology, which does a great job of simulating a 3-dimensional soundscape even though internal speakers in soundbars are generally spaced close together. "A.I. Dialogue Mode" automatically balances voice and surround sound so that you don't need to turn up the volume to deafening levels in order to hear what everyone is saying.

Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones

The QuietComfort Ultra is Bose's newest noise-cancelling headphone, released in late 2023. It is a significant upgrade over the standard QuietComfort headphones in audio and noise-cancelling performance and is easily comparable to other current heavyweights like the Sony WH-1000XM5/XM6 and the AirPods Max. The Ultra features redesigned ear cushions that are both more comfortable and provide a more secure seal, resulting in better passive noise isolation. It also supports spatial audio for better immersion, and it's updated with the new Bluetooth 5.3 protocol. Android users can rejoice in the fact that the Ultra supports Snapdragon Sound, a feature that offers optimized sound quality, connection stability, and latency for your streaming audio when the headphone is connected to an Android device.

Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds

If you use an Android smartphone, the Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds is a better pair of earbuds than the AirPods Pro 2. This is Bose's top-end earbuds, with better noise canceling than the QuietComfort Ultra over-ear headphone due to its sealed in-ear design and better passive noise isolation. Of course the earbuds also boast top notch audio quality to match. Like the Ultra headphones, the earbuds support Snapdragon Sound when paired with an Android device.

Bose QuietComfort Headphones

The Bose QuietComfort is just a rename of the QuietComfort 45. Aside from the name and a few different color choices, they are the same headphone. The QuietComfort features excellent sound and noise cancelling performance for its price. They're close in quality to Bose's flagship headphone, which is nearly double the price. The QuietComfort is comfortable to wear and has been updated with faster USB Type-C charging, a longer 24-hour battery life on a single charge, and an "Aware" mode that lets you listen in on your surroundings.

Bose QuietComfort Ultra Open Earbuds

The Ultra Open earbuds is for people who don't want any type of noise isolation, be it passive or active. These earbuds site just outside your ear canal, thus leaving them completely unimpeded. These are a great pair of earbuds for situations where you need to be aware of your surroundings, for example if you're jogging on the streets, taking a fitness class that involves listening to a training instructor, or working at home whilst keeping an ear open for your kids. It's definitely a more niche type of earbuds, so make sure you know exactly what you want if you opt for this model.

Every LEGO Book Nook Set Now Available In September 2025

3 septembre 2025 à 23:30

LEGO hasn't been just for kids for a while now. There are countless "adults welcome" LEGO sets that are perfect for offices, game rooms, or to mount on your walls. Sure, most of these sets are nerd-adjacent, from Star Wars display models to an enormous Lord of the Rings Rivendell set, but they are a testament to just how much the toy brand has changed over the years. Some of the biggest upcoming LEGO sets are 18+ builds specifically targeted at adult collectors this year. And If you're both an avid reader and huge LEGO fan like me, the three new themed book nooks now available are absolutely worth checking out. These book nooks are an entirely new type of LEGO set made to fit perfectly on your shelf and live amongst your book collection.

With the new sets available now, LEGO joins a wide range of brands offering book nook kits for adults in 2025.

Every LEGO Book Nook Available Now

All three of the LEGO book nooks came out earlier this summer alongside the rest of June LEGO lineup, and the one pair of bookends here were just released at the beginning of September. They're all riddled with detail and Easter eggs from their respective series and are modular; there's the folded in book nook style and the "unfolded" view. The unfolded mode offers a great display of famous scenes like the Harry and Ron finding Platform 9 3/4 or Gandalf facing off against the Balrog. The modularity makes these sets not only serve their purpose as book nooks well but also as standalone LEGO display pieces for your shelves or coffee tables.

The set of Wicked bookends function a little bit differently by replacing the idea of a simple nook with more of a functional aspect. This is the only bookends set we've seen so far.

LEGO Lord of the Rings Book Nook

The Lord of the Rings LEGO Book Nook includes a super detailed Gandalf minifigure with his sword and staff and a buildable, fully posable Balrog figure. It recreates the iconic scene on the Bridge of Khazad-dûm in the Fellowship of the Ring, with a plaque stating "you shall not pass!" front and center. It's 1,201 pieces and is sure to be a fun build, especially if you have the movie playing in the background!

As a book nook, this set would also go great alongside a collection of Lord of the Rings books. Since it's release it has also topped our list of the best Lord of the Rings gifts for fans of the series.

LEGO Sherlock Holmes Book Nook

The LEGO Sherlock Holmes Book Nook is the biggest of the trio, coming it at 1,359 pieces, and definitely has the most Easter eggs — fitting for our favorite detective. When folded in nook form, the outer cover has the iconic silhouette of Sherlock and his magnifying glass from the actual Arthur Conan Doyle books. This set also comes with five detailed minifigures: Sherlock, Dr. Watson, Moriarty, Irene Adler, and seemingly a member of the Baker Street Irregulars. When unfolded, it's a detailed recreation of 221B Baker Street in London where Sherlock lives.

LEGO Hogwarts Express Book Nook

The LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts Express Book Nook should be familiar to longtime LEGO fans, since the iconic red train has seen many iterations over the years. Of the three, I'd prefer to have this unfolded as it seemlessly splits the scene between King's Cross station in London and the magical Platfrom 9 3/4. It looks a bit silly folded in book nook mode in my opinion, but it still works. At 832 pieces, it's the smallest of the three, but included are Harry Potter and Ron Weasley minifigures along with their trolleys, Hedwig, and Scabbers. If you're looking for a set of bookends for your Harry Potter book collection, this is a great gift idea for any Harry Potter fan.

LEGO Wicked: Glinda & Elphaba Bookends

We had the chance to build the LEGO Wicked bookends and found them to be a great alternative to the more traditional book nooks. This is essentially two sets in one and you build both bookends separately before placing them on your shelf. The insdie of each book houses a little scene that allow them to double as a book nook if you turn them on their side.

Are There Any Upcoming LEGO Book Nooks?

As of September 2025, there are no known plans for any more LEGO Book Nooks. That being said, the first three sets that released in June and the new Wicked bookends have been extremely popular so far. The success of these initial book nooks would indicated that LEGO will almost certainly be releasing more in the near future. We can only speculate as to which franchises will get the book nook treatment next, but since LEGO hasn't strayed beyond collaborations that are directly tied to book series', there's only so many potential next steps.

The first and most obvious next book nook would be an expansion of Dune. There has only been one LEGO Dune set so far and it was overall very popular. Something like a giant sand worm book nook would be a great choice. It's possible Disney could also join the fray with a Winnie the Pooh set or something similar.

The iBuypower RTX 5070 Gaming PC Drops to Just $1,099 at Walmart (The Best PC Deal Under $1,400)

3 septembre 2025 à 23:30

Walmart just kicked off one of the best budget gaming PC deals I've seen this year. As part of the Intel Gamer Days Sale, the iBuypower Slate gaming PC - equipped with an Intel Core i5-14400F CPU and GeForce RTX 5070 GPU - drops to just $1,099 after a $400 off instant discount. This PC is sold and shipped by Walmart directly with a delivery date as early as August 27. The RTX 5070 graphics card is an excellent choice for gaming at up to 1440p during Labor Day sales.

iBuypower Intel Core i5-14400F RTX 5070 Gaming PC for $1,099

The iBuypower Slate gaming PC is equipped with an Intel Core i5-14400F processor, GeForce RTX 5070 graphics card, 16GB of DDR5-5200MHz RAM, and a 1TB M.2 SSD. The Intel Core i5-14400F is a 14th generation Raptor Lake Refresh model with a max turbo frequency of 4.7GHz and 10 cores. It's cooled by a 120mm tower heatsink and fan combo.

The GeForce RTX 5070 GPU is an excellent choice for 1080p or 1440p gaming

Compared to the previous generation GPUs, the RTX 5070 performs comparably with the RTX 4070 Super. We wish there was a bigger generation improvement in raw performance, but the RTX 4070 Super was already an excellent card for 1080p and 1440p gaming. In any case, the RTX 4070 Super GPU has since been discontinued and is only readily available in the used market. The RTX 5070 also supports DLSS 4 with multi-frame generation, and the performance gap widens in games that support this new technology, including Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, Doom: The Dark Ages, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, and the upcoming Borderlands 4 and Battlefield 6 games.

Paramount+ Just Announced a Massive Discount for New and Returning Subscribers

3 septembre 2025 à 23:19

Paramount+ has launched a massive sale on its annual plans. From now until September 18, both new and existing subscribers can save 50% on a full year of the plan of their choosing. You can either grab the Paramount+ Essential annual plan for $29.99 (regularly priced at $59.99), or the Paramount+ Premium annual plan for $59.99 (regularly priced at $119.99).

50% Off Annual Paramount+ Subscriptions for New and Returning Subscribers

Besides whether or not you get ads, the big difference between these plans is whether you care about the Showtime library, which includes the likes of Yellowjackets and Dexter: Resurrection. For context: What was previously the Paramount+ with Showtime package has been rebranded as the Premium subscription.

The discount only applies to annual subscriptions, so no free trials and no big savings on the monthly plans. That said, a year of the ad-supported subscription at this price is what you would for about four months of the service on a monthly plan, which is still priced at $7.99/month. The Premium plan also continues to cost $12.99/month.

Unlike most streaming deals these days, the discounts apply to both new and returning subscribers. So, if you do happen to be enjoying the monthly plan and have some extra cash, it’s well worth considering grabbing the annual discount as an upfront cost.

What’s on Paramount+?

Paramount has a bit of a unique library compared to the likes of Disney+ or Netflix, but I’d like to think there’s a little something for everyone in there. Right now, it’s where you’ll find new episodes of South Park the day after they air (and cause whatever controversy) as well as the new season of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds.

The list of Paramount movies is pretty much endless, but some highlights there include Gladiator, the Transformers movies, and the Sonic the Hedgehog trilogy. The studio will also be developing the live-action Call of Duty movie.

Paramount has been slowly expanding its live sports offerings. It's where you can watch the NFL on CBS as well as the UEFA Champions League. Most recently, the service signed a deal to acquire the streaming rights to the UFC franchise, which will be moving away from the PPV model used by ESPN starting in 2026. In other words, if you subscribe with the deal now, you’ll get to watch all the fights your heart desires next year.

Save Over $700 Off the Lenovo Legion 5 Gaming PC with AMD X3D CPU and RTX 5070 Ti GPU

3 septembre 2025 à 23:10

The most popular Legion gaming PC deal during Lenovo's Labor Day Sale is back at a lower price. Right now you can order a pre-configured Lenovo Legion Tower 5 Gen 10 AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D GeForce RTX 5070 Ti gaming PC for just $1,793.49 after you apply two coupon codes: "EXTRAFIVE" and "BUYMORELENOVO". Free delivery is included. This CPU/GPU duo can run even the latest and most demanding games with high framerates at up to 4K resolution.

Lenovo Legion RTX 5070 Ti Gaming PC for $1,793.49

The Lenovo Legion Tower 5 Gen 10 gaming PC is equipped with an AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D processor, GeForce RTX 5070 Ti graphics card, 32GB of DDR5-5200MHz RAM, and a 1TB M.2 SSD. The processor is (air)cooled by a robust 120mm tower heatsink and fan combo. A total of six 120mm RGB fans and a sensibly designed 30L midtower chassis keeps your components quiet and cool. An 850W 80PLUS Gold power supply provides plenty of power. The case offers toolless entry and most of the components are non-proprietary, so they are easy to swap out or upgrade yourself down the road.

The AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D is still an outstanding gaming CPU

The AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D has an established reputation of being one of the best gaming CPUs available. It's a slightly older model that has been replaced by the newer Ryzen 9 98000X3D, but it is still one of the best gaming CPUs you can get today. According to Passmark, the 7800X3D's gaming performance surpasses that of the latest generation Intel Core Ultra 7 265K. The 7800X3D is also more efficient than the 9800X3D, which means it will consume less power and produce less heat (and thus less noise because your fans don't need to spin as fast).

The RTX 5070 Ti GPU Has Excellent 4K Gaming Performance

Of all the Blackwell cards released thus far, the RTX 5070 Ti offers the best bang for your buck, especially when pitted against the previous generation GPUs. It performs neck-and-neck with the RTX 4080 Super and marginalizes the RTX 5080, which is only about 10%-15% faster but costs 33% more. Like all Blackwell cards, the RTX 5070 Ti supports DLSS 4 with multi-frame generation. It also has 16GB of GDDR7 VRAM same as the RTX 5080, making it suitable for AI.

Here's an interesting alternative: gaming PC with laptop CPU

Lenovo is also offering a Lenovo Legion Tower 5i Gen 10 RTX 5070 Ti gaming PC for just $1,764.99 after you apply the same two coupon codes "EXTRAFIVE" and "BUYMORELENOVO". According to Lenovo's spec sheet, this PC is equipped with an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX CPU on a customized Intel HM870 mATX motherboard. The 275HX is traditionally a laptop-class CPU, and it's important to note that laptop CPUs are (permanently) soldered onto the motherboard. Unlike a desktop CPU, a laptop CPU cannot be upgraded. If you do plan on swapping the CPU for something better in the future, then you'll have to stick with a gaming PC equipped with a traditional desktop CPU. If you don't intend on swapping the CPU, then you'll get excellent performance out of this chip. According to Passmark, the Ultra 9 275HX is roughly comparable in gaming performance to the Intel Core Ultra 7 265KF. It also has more cores (24 vs 20).

Get a Cordless Rechargeable Electric Air Duster for Your PC for Just $25 After Amazon Coupon

3 septembre 2025 à 22:10

Maintaining a tidy desk area doesn't have to be labor intensive or expensive. Traditionally you would use a can of compressed air to clean out your PC, but they're essentially one-time use, they usually target a very small area (because of their tiny nozzle), and the cost can quickly add up. Nowadays there's a better solution. As part of its Back to School sale, Amazon has the EUKI Cordless Rechargeable Electric Air Duster (Air Blower) for just $24.99 after you clip a $15 off coupon on the product page. Most electric air dusters under $50 on Amazon are pretty much identical, so you just want to get the one that's on sale. There are other more powerful options out there, but they are considerably more expensive.

EUKI Cordless Electric Air Duster for PC for $24.99

The EUKI cordless rechargeable electric air duster is a fairly straightforward device. An internal fan spins at up to 15,000RPM to move an appreciable amount of air. A nozzle funnels the air into a tight, high-velocity stream that's more than strong enough to kick up layers of dust that's been sitting on top of your computer components. It has three speed settings, although I would recommend keeping it at the max speed for optimal results. Note that it doesn't come with a long, thin nozzle like the ones that come with compressed air canisters. If that's what you're looking for, the deal below might be a better fit. The duster weighs about 12 ounces, light enough to be used for a while.

The best thing about an electronic duster compared to a can of compressed air is that it can be re-used. The battery lasts up to 100 minutes on a full charge (lower on max setting). It can be recharged within 2 hours with a USB Type-C cable, which is included. I have a similar variant of this air duster that I use for all manner of cleaning, not just my PC (cleaning my coffee grinder and blow drying my dog are two examples). If possible, do your dusting outside.

The New ESPN and Disney+ Bundle Can Now Be Paired With an NFL+ Premium Subscription

3 septembre 2025 à 21:48

ESPN officially launched its streaming service last month with a tempting Disney+ bundle offer. Just one day before the NFL season kicks off for 2025, an even newer bundle has arrived. You can now choose to include a subscription to NFL+ Premium for an additional $10. The total price of this bundle would be $39.99 for the first 12 months and includes Disney+, Hulu, ESPN Unlimited, and NFL+ Premium.

This latest bundle isn't exactly a surprise seeing as ESPN is currently acquiring NFL Network. However when ESPN Unlimited first launched, this was a bit of a question mark about the service. ESPN already has access to some NFL games, but not all of them. With the addition of NFL+ Premium into the bundle, it solidifies the service as one of the best sports streaming options this fall.

What NFL Coverage Does This Include?

While this bundle doesn't get you access to every NFL game, it does offer a pretty wide range of coverage. ESPN Unlimited includes Monday night football games that air on ESPN and ABC. With NFL+ Premium, you'll also get access to local and primetime games as well as any of the NFL Network games. This includes NFL RedZone, which covers a lot of the action on Sunday. You will still need to get an NFL Sunday Ticket subscription separately if you want to watch out-of-market games on Sunday, though.

It's also worth noting that while NFL+ Premium grants you access to more live NFL coverage, you can only access the local and primetime games via your phone or tablet. It won't be naturally integrated into your ESPN app. For a list of upcoming games available on these service, you can check out the full schedule on the NFL website.

Man of Tomorrow: What Do We Know About the Plot and Villain of James Gunn's Superman Sequel?

3 septembre 2025 à 21:28

One of the fun parts about the new DCU is that James Gunn is never shy about suddenly dropping big news on social media. Case in point - Gunn recently tweeted out the title and release date of his hotly anticipated follow-up to Superman. Man of Tomorrow hits theaters on July 9, 2027, sooner than we would have anticipated.

We don’t know much about the plot of Man of Tomorrow at this early stage, but Gunn did leave DC fans with one other treat. His announcement was paired with a new piece of artwork from DC Comics CCO, Publisher, and President Jim Lee showcasing Lex Luthor and Superman together. That was immediately followed by two more Superman/Lex images from DC artists Jorge Jiménez and Mitch Gerads.

These images tell us a lot about the new movie and how it seems to be turning the DCU’s most bitter rivalry on its head. Let’s break down what we know so far.

Warning: this article contains full spoilers for Gunn's Superman!

Who Is the Man of Tomorrow?

Let’s start with the title. “Man of Tomorrow” is a phrase that should be familiar to a lot of Superman fans. Just as Batman is frequently referred to as “The Dark Knight” and “The Caped Crusader,” Superman is often dubbed “The Man of Tomorrow” in the comics. It’s a logical choice of title for Gunn’s Superman follow-up, akin to Christopher Nolan going from Batman Begins to The Dark Knight.

That said, we shouldn’t necessarily assume the title is referring to David Corenswet’s Kal-El in this case. Let’s not forget that Gunn has been adamant all along that this film isn’t Superman 2. He previously said, "... is it a straight-up Superman sequel? I would not say necessarily." Lee’s art certainly suggests that Nicholas Hoult’s Lex Luthor has as big a role as Superman this time around. Could the title be referring to Luthor instead?

We suspect it’s meant to refer to both characters. Superman certainly embodies the phrase, as he’s worked for three years and counting to protect the citizens of Metropolis and serve as a beacon of hope and inspiration to the world. But Lex clearly views himself as the true Man of Tomorrow, the only one with the intelligence and the drive to guide humanity into a better age. As he sees it, humanity should be led by humans, not aliens like Superman.

The film will probably focus on the tension between the two characters as each strives to be the symbol mankind needs. Who’s the real Man of Tomorrow here, the brilliant but ruthless tech billionaire or the guy who’s made kindness the new punk rock?

Superman and Lex Luthor: Frenemies?

If there’s one takeaway from Lee’s art, it’s that we’re looking at an unlikely alliance between Lex and Superman in Man of Tomorrow. The image shows the two characters leaning back to back, with Luthor decked out in his classic green and purple power armor. But rather than appearing threatened by Lex’s new battlesuit, Superman is cozying up to his foe. He’s even holding up a screwdriver, suggesting that Kal-El will help Luthor design his trademark suit in the new movie.

Gerads’ image strikes a different tone, showing the two characters locked in combat, while Gerads’ image seems to depict the two fighting side-by-side against a common enemy.

All of this points to a major change in the tone of their relationship in Man of Tomorrow. In Superman, Luthor couldn’t be more bitter and hateful toward Supes. His every move in the film is directed toward discrediting and destroying Superman. He even refers to Superman as “it,” showing that he refuses to accept Superman as a person worthy of basic human dignity. We can’t imagine Lex’s ire toward Superman will cool at all in the aftermath of Superman. The movie ends with his plot being exposed and a disgraced Luthor being carted off to Belle Reve Prison.

Their relationship looks to be undergoing the same evolution it does in the comics, where Lex slowly shifts from being Superman’s greatest rival to a more ambiguous antagonist and occasional ally.

Even so, it appears that something will happen to force Lex to reevaluate Superman and fight alongside him rather than against him. Their relationship looks to be undergoing the same evolution it does in the comics, where Lex slowly shifts from being Superman’s greatest rival to a more ambiguous antagonist and occasional ally. For example, Lex actually joined the Justice League during DC’s New 52 era, and in Joshua Williamson’s current Superman series, an incarcerated Lex has been cast as a helpful ally to Superman. Even in All-Star Superman, the comic Gunn has said inspired his first movie more than any other, Lex eventually has an epiphany when he gains Superman's powers and understands how his nemesis sees the world around him.

We doubt Man of Tomorrow will depict Lex doing a complete 180 in terms of his Superman stance, but it may force him to reevaluate his hatred toward the Man of Steel and realize that there are far greater dangers facing humanity. On that note…

Who Is the Villain of Man of Tomorrow?

Again, these three images hint that Superman and Lex will be forced to work together against a common enemy in Man of Tomorrow. Who could that enemy be? Superman’s rogues gallery is certainly a deep one, but a few characters stand out as likely candidates.

One option is General Zod, a character who’s certainly no stranger to live-action Superman projects at this point. Zod was previously played by the late Terence Stamp in 1978’s Superman and 1980’s Superman II, while Michael Shannon took on the role in 2013’s Man of Steel and several other DCEU movies. Gunn’s Superman already revealed that the Kryptonians had designs on Earth. Even Bradley Cooper’s Jor-El, normally a paragon of virtue, intended for his son to conquer Earth and create a new generation of Kryptonian/human hybrids.

Most versions of the Superman mythos eventually reveal that Dru-Zod and his soldiers survived Krypton’s destruction because they were imprisoned in the Phantom Zone. There’s no reason to assume the DCU will be any different. We wouldn’t be at all surprised if Man of Tomorrow shows Zod leading an army to conquer Earth and do what Kal-El refused. At that point, even Lex will be forced to accept that he’s better off with the devil he knows.

Another option is Brainiac, a major Superman villain who surprisingly hasn’t appeared in a live-action movie before. Brainiac is a ferociously intelligent collector who has tasked himself with absorbing the knowledge of intergalactic civilizations, bottling up cities as trophies, and destroying the rest. In some versions of the mythos, Brainiac is responsible for Krypton’s destruction.

Brainiac would make for an especially great villain in Man of Tomorrow because he’s on equal footing with both Superman and Lex Luthor. Between his cybernetic enhancements and various alternate bodies, he’s powerful enough to go toe-to-toe with Kal-El. And in terms of his intelligence, he’s the only villain in the DCU who can rival Lex.

Finally, we can’t help but think of Doomsday, arguably the strongest and most bloodthirsty of Superman’s many enemies. The opening crawl in Superman reveals that Kal-El has been on the job for three years and never lost a fight until his clash with the Hammer of Boravia. That would suggest that the DCU hasn’t yet experienced the brutal showdown between Superman and Doomsday that leaves both dead in the heart of Metropolis. Maybe the time has come to tell that story?

We don’t know that Gunn would want to return to the Doomsday well so soon after projects like 2016’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and the TV series Superman and Lois. But if any villain is fearsome enough to require an alliance between Superman and Lex Luthor, it’s definitely Doomsday.

Who do you think will be the villain of Man of Tomorrow? Vote in our poll and let us know your pick in the comments below.

The LEGO Batman: The Animated Series Gotham City 4,210-Brick Set Is on Sale for the First Time

3 septembre 2025 à 21:10

One of the best LEGO x DC collaborations is on sale for the first time ever. Right now Walmart is offering the LEGO Batman: The Animated Series Gotham City Set (#76271) for $267.00. That's an 11% discount from its retail price of $300 which is less than the typical LEGO deals we post, but I've actually never seen this set discounted in the past. It's also an outstanding value at only 6.3 cents per brick, especially for a themed LEGO set that was released just last year.

LEGO Batman: The Animated Series Gotham City for $267

The LEGO Gotham City set is a huge 2.5D diorama depicting all of the most memorable landmarks showcased in the Batman animated TV series. It measures 30" wide by 16" tall and is comprised of a whopping 4,210 pieces, making it the largest LEGO x DC set ever by a fair margin (the next biggest set is the upcoming Arkham Asylum at 2,953 pieces).

Unlike traditional LEGO Art sets, Gotham City has a surprisingly high degree of interactivity even after you've finished building it. The diorama is comprised of 15 separate panels that can be removed to reveal the inside of Wayne Manor, the Batcave and Arkham Asylum, and the activities of numerous villains from Batman: The Animated Series. The set also includes 4 minifigures: Batman, The Joker, Harley Quinn, and Catwoman, as well as the Batmobile and Batwing.

Both Kevin Wong and Seth Macy at IGN built this set and absolutely loved it. It's definitely a challenging build that fully deserves the 18+ rating, but the end result is more than worth it. LEGO does include two sets of building instructions so that two people can work on it simultaneously.

The Best Streaming Services For Watching Live Sports in 2025

3 septembre 2025 à 21:00

Watching sports used to be simple. You’d just flip on the TV, and chances are, you’d catch the big game. Today, though, navigating the world of sports streaming is a far more complicated affair. From regional blackouts and extra paywalls to figuring out which service holds exclusive rights to the games you want to watch, it’s a maze that leaves fans scrambling now in 2025.

With so many streaming services broadcasting live sports, figuring out where to watch and what's worth subscribing to can be a challenge. Luckily, we've done the heavy lifting for you. Below, you’ll find a list of the best sports streaming services for live games, matches, and fights, tailored for every type of fan.

TL;DR — These are the best streaming services for sports

Hulu + Live TV

Best Streaming Bundle For Sports

Hulu + Live TV features a comprehensive offering of the most popular sports across its more than 95 channels, including NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, NCAA, international soccer, UFC, and more. In addition to games airing on local channels, there are several sporting events to watch regularly on ESPN, CBS Sports Network, NFL Network, and FS1, just to name a few.

Since Hulu + Live TV also includes the Disney Bundle as part of its monthly subscription price, you'll also gain access to ESPN Unlimited which unlocks all ESPN chanels, additional exclusive sporting events (like UFC and college sports), original programming, and more.

Hulu + Live TV also includes a three-day free trial, so you can test out the service before you use it.

ESPN Unlimited With NFL+ Premium

Best for Streaming Live NFL Games

ESPN Unlimited is still a new service, but as of September 3 you can now choose to bundle it with NFL+ Premium. This new streaming option comes after ESPN announced it was acquiring NFL Network back in August. The service will include everything available on ESPN Unlimited as well as the full suite of coverage from NFL+ Premium for $39.99. You can also choose to bundle this with Disney+ and Hulu for a limited time.

This new streaming service won't have all of the NFL games available, but it will have most of them. Access to ESPN channels will get you Monday Night Football while the NFL+ Premium subscription will get you access to local and primetime games as well as NFL RedZone on Sundays. The main downside is that NFL+ only allows you to watch these games live on your phone or tablet.

Fubo

Best Variety

Fubo may not be a household name, but it's our pick for the best variety of sporting events to stream. It features more than 55,000 sporting events per year including NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, MLS, NCAA college sports, NASCAR, golf, tennis, boxing, MMA events, and much more. Additionally, international soccer fans can enjoy popular options such as Premier League, LaLiga, UEFA Champions League, Ligue 1, Liga MX, and Serie A.

If you're itching for even more sports programming, Fubo also has various sports add-on packages that include extra channels such as NFL Redzone, MLB.TV, NBA League Pass, a number of international sports channels, and many NCAA conference-specific channels. If you want to try out the service before you commit, there is a fubo seven-day free trial available for new subscribers.

While Fubo is still a standalone streaming service, it's worth noting that the company is in the process of selling to Disney. According to recent reports, that sale is expected to happen sometime in early 2026. This sale would see Hulu + Live TV combining with Fubo eventually.

Peacock

Best For Premier League Soccer and WWE

Since Peacock is owned by parent company NBC Universal, you'll have plenty of sports at your fingertips to stream with this subscription. Premier League soccer, arguably one of the most popular sports worldwide, is widely available to stream on Peacock. With season-long live coverage and exclusive matches available, you'll be able to catch the biggest matches from the likes of Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal, and more.

For fans of WWE, Peacock is a no-brainer as it's the exclusive live streaming home for every WWE premium event including Wrestlemania. But that's not all Peacock has to offer as you'll also be able to catch every NFL Sunday Night Football game as well as Big Ten college basketball.

Although Peacock doesn't currently offer a free trial, there are occasionaly subscription deals for the service that drop the price pretty significantly.

ESPN Unlimited

Best for ESPN Networks

ESPN has officially launched a new streaming service that includes the full suite of ESPN Networks in one package. ESPN Unlmited has expanded what the previous service, ESPN+, had offered prior. In addtion to original content, the new service includes the following channels: ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPNEWS, ESPN Deportes, SEC Network, ACC Network, ESPN on ABC, ESPN+, ESPN3, SECN+ and ACCNX.

ESPN also recently reached a deal with the NFL that will eventually bring the NFL Network over to the service. There was also a new agreement reached with WWE that will bring WrestleMania to ESPN Unlimited sometime in 2026. So while this service is still fairly new, there's more expected to arrive on it next year.

An ESPN Unlimited subscription is $29.99 per month or $299.99 annually. New subscribers also have the option to sign up a Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN Unlimited bundle at no extra cost for the first 12 months. If you're looking for just the content offered on ESPN+ previously, you can choose to sign up for the cheaper ESPN Select plan.

DirecTV Stream

Best Cable Alternative

DirecTV Stream is the satellite-free offering from DirecTV that anyone can sign up for. This streaming-only option includes everything you'd expect from a cable alternative including local networks and popular sports channels such as ESPN, ESPN 2, ESPN U, NBC Golf, FS1, NBA TV, MLB Network, and the Tennis Channel.

For sports fans specifically, the DirecTV Choice package is the best bang for your buck, providing access over 125 channels, including major nationwide games and a strong selection of regional sporting events based on your location.

For new subscribers, DirecTV Stream has a five-day free trial that lets you test out the service. DirecTV Stream is also our top pick for streaming NBA games live.

Paramount Plus

Best for PGA Golf

Paramount+ offers all the sports content you'd expect from CBS Sports, including NFL on CBS games and every UEFA Champions League soccer match. Along with a library of sports movies and TV shows, Paramount+ provides daily programming from CBS Sports HQ, documentaries, and more.

For golf fans, upgrading to the Paramount+ with Showtime plan is a great option, as it includes everything in the Essential tier and adds access to major PGA Tour events like the Farmers Insurance Open and the Wyndham Championship.

Paramount+ actually does offer a free trial for new subscribers and is a great way to get sports and other streaming favorites. Paramount is the home of franchises like Sonic the Hedgehog, SpongeBob, and new South Park episodes, so it's a good one to try for free if you haven't already.

Paramount has also recently reached a deal with UFC that will bring the sport to Paramount+. This is a seven year deal that is expected to begin in 2026.

MLB.TV

Best for out-of-market MLB games

Major League Baseball games are available with almost all of the streaming services on this list, but no service has everything. Due to various licensing agreements, it's impossible to find all MLB games on a single service, but an MLB.TV subscription will get you the most. For $94.99 a year or $29.99 a month you'll get access to every out-of-market game. This includes both the the regular season and offseason games.

If you want to test out the service to see what kind of coverage you'll get, there is a 7-day free trial currently available.

Sports Streaming FAQs

Can You Watch Live Sports For Free?

Yes, you can watch select live sports for free. Although, the type of sport and frequency varies significantly. You can access local channels with a TV antenna and watch many popular sporting events including NFL, MLB, and NBA games, just to name a few, over the air. Streaming services like Sling Freestream also offer ad-supported access to certain live sports.

Which Sports Streaming Services Have Free Trials?

Just about every sports streaming service mentioned above has a free trial you can take advantage of. Hulu + Live TV, Fubo, DirecTV Stream, and Paramount+ all have trials that range from three days to a week. And, if you time it well, you may even be able to watch multiple live sporting events that you're interested in during the free trial period. The only outliers currently without a free trial are Peacock and ESPN+, although the latter is available as part of the Hulu + Live TV free trial.

If you're looking to stream more than just sports, check out our list of the best streaming services with free trials in 2025 or more specifically dive into the live TV services with free trials list we've curated.

Netflix’s Wednesday, Season 2, Part 2 Review

3 septembre 2025 à 21:03

Spoilers follow for Netflix’s Wednesday Season 2, Part 2. Also, Season 2, Part 1. And Season 1.

It’s hard to pin the success of Netflix’s Wednesday on any particular element. Is it Jenna Ortega’s pitch-perfect central performance as Wednesday Addams? Nostalgia for the characters created by Charles Addams, the movies, or the TV show? It certainly could be the odd-couple pairing of Ortega’s dour Wednesday and her roommate at Nevermore Academy, the chipper Enid Sinclair (Emma Myers).

....Or maybe it’s that dance craze on TikTok, which repurposed a scene featuring Ortega’s COVID-fueled moves with audio of Lady Gaga’s “Bloody Mary” and helped the show explode into one of the most-watched Netflix series ever.

It’s that last bit, the viral spark of simple-to-do dance moves and easy-to-repurpose audio that Wednesday Season 2, Part 2 tries to recreate, thanks to a brand new song from Lady Gaga herself (who also briefly guest stars in the new episodes), as well as a (hopefully non-COVID-related) choreographed dance from Myers. And it also points to the essential fault in the series: Wednesday seems to be constantly grasping for something slightly beyond itself, whether that’s an unreproducible organic success, the trappings of a supernatural school mystery series, or the dark humor of the Addams Family itself.

In the second part, the series created by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar picks up – and quickly disposes of – the cliffhanger from Part 1 that Wednesday has seemingly died. She’s not dead, of course; it would be hard to continue the show without the main character. But it’s still part of the overpacked nature of the series that Wednesday heads to the afterlife, meets the ghost of her former headmaster, Larissa Weems (Gwendoline Christie), and is back alive all by the end of the opening credits of the first episode. The rest of the season attempts to balance the ongoing counsel of Ghost Weems, plenty of Addams family drama, mysteries in the school involving werewolves, a siren cult, a duplicitous new headmaster, ghosts, curses, and even a love triangle that turns into a love rhombus around Enid.

Wednesday is busy, and you can often feel the flop sweat of ideas hiding paper-thin messages about family that only sort of connect with the characters.

It’s too much for Wednesday – the show, not the character – to handle, as the series zips around the halls of Nevermore, out to the Addams house, and even briefly to a Day of the Dead themed reskinning of the local Pilgrim World theme park. Wednesday is busy, and you can often feel the flop sweat of ideas hiding paper-thin messages about family that only sort of connect with the characters.

Wednesday’s sometimes romantic interest, Tyler Galpin (Hunter Doohan), continues to draw an inordinate amount of focus in the show. Not only does he have an extended family, which is nowhere near as interesting as the Addams’s, but the show also leans into the series’ over-reliance on CGI monster fights. Wednesday’s best special effect, hands down, is Ortega’s performance… To spend so much time swooping past monsters that look like they’re trying to ape the kitsch of Tim Burton’s clay-animated creations from movies like Beetlejuice and otherwise, but with the slick sheen of computer animation, is a crime. Like the attempt to re-viralize the show with Enid’s new Gaga dance, it’s an echo of what could be, a corporatized version of a homemade sensation.

By contrast, though, when the show focuses on the characters over plot, plot, plot… it works. And that’s on display in not just the best episode of Season 2, Part 2, but the best episode of the series, period, which finds Wednesday and Enid switching bodies. While there’s still a lot more going on in that particular hour-plus episode, it’s arguably the only one of the 16 episodes produced so far that manages to properly balance supernatural shenanigans and the overall plot while elevating the central relationship of the show to the forefront and actually giving Wednesday and Enid clear arcs where they learn things about themselves and each other. You know: a properly structured episode of television.

It’s also an absolute blast to watch, as Ortega dances to Blackpink and apes Myers’ effusive performance, while Myers clamps down her emotions to a simmering fury, plays the cello, and gets to sarcastically dismiss everyone else in the cast. When the show pairs these two characters with and against each other, Wednesday works – which is why it’s unfortunate that it continues to separate them so frequently. There’s certainly an attempt to recenter the show on Wednesday and Enid in Part 2, but the series keeps getting distracted with other plot beats or forcibly sending the two actresses in physically opposite directions, to its detriment.

There are other parts of the show that work, to be fair. Evie Templeton as Agnes DeMille, who can turn invisible and is obsessed with Wednesday to the level of stalking, is an absolute unhinged delight, and goes from a one-note joke in the first part to a more nuanced character in the second part. Steve Buscemi continues to bring the right amount of quirky energy to his role as the mysterious new Dean of Nevermore… His delivery finds him one step removed from the material, commenting on its ridiculousness while relishing living in it. It’s basically “How do you do, fellow kids?” but make it supernatural. Christie is also a welcome return presence, managing to bring arch humor to her scenes and a fair amount of wistful pathos, as well. And Joanna Lumley as Grandmama Hester Frump eats up every scene she’s in as both confidant to Wednesday and withering dismisser of her daughter, Morticia (Catherine Zeta-Jones).

The issue is that Wednesday has more characters than it knows what to do with, and those mentioned above who are allowed to relish the material stand in direct contrast to the more grounded members of the cast. An ongoing plot about a siren cult focusing on Nevermore student Bianca Barclay (Joy Sunday) is so to the side of the action that when it comes to the forefront, one of the characters expresses surprise that a whole other thing was going on – and it’s quickly wrapped up. Enid’s relationship drama is mostly a non-factor, which is fine given the lack of sparks Myers has with anyone other than Ortega, but spending any time on this love rhombus romance seems a nod to the school setting without ever fully embracing the joys of the genre. Similarly, Tyler’s family drama takes up too much real estate and is far too grounded to not leave the viewer wanting to see the more fun elements of the show, like the mostly off-screen Fester Addams (Fred Armisen), who is reportedly getting his own spinoff. In fact, there are so many characters being juggled that some of them barely get a scene or two, and several have their plotlines shoved off for the already greenlit third season of the series.

What’s more frustrating about this is that unfleshed-out characters get to stick around long-term, while the show kills off guest stars with regularity. Perhaps this is down to contracts, and given Christie returned as a ghost, there’s always room for more. But the issue here is that Wednesday doesn’t seem to have a clear idea of what’s working and what’s not (see the frequent separation of Enid and Wednesday, as mentioned). Killing characters who are fun to watch is taking chances so that nobody feels safe, for sure. Other than Wednesday (and likely Enid), there’s no plot armor on this show. But it’s also a bummer because the eliminated characters were – get this — fun to watch.

This lack of focus also applies to the general premise of the show, which seems singularly uninterested in the Nevermore Academy setting. There’s not a single scene in Season 2, Part 2 where the characters attend a class of any kind, so when the school year ends, it’s jarring: How much time did this season take place over, because it felt like maybe a week. Instead, there are off-site trips, galas, jaunts to the Haunted Hacienda in Pilgrim World, and plenty of time spent underground (literally) with Tyler. You’ve got an entire school filled with supernatural characters with powers; why not utilize that?

It’s surprising that Wednesday is as unfocused as it is, given that Gough and Millar helped popularize the “freak of the week” format on their breakout show, Smallville. That sort of mix of supernatural problems reflecting the emotional journey of the character on an episodic basis should be the bread and butter of the series, as seen in the body swap episode. And given there’s likely to be a long gap between Seasons 2 and 3, there’s plenty of time to take a look at what worked in Season 2 and what didn’t: Focus on the characters, keep exploring the central relationship of Wednesday and Enid, and jettison the detritus.

But more likely, Wednesday will keep dance, dance, dancing, with its hands, hands, hands, above its head, head, head, trying to recapture the unrepeatable success of Season 1’s TikTok craze. Woe is them.

This Warhammer 40K Tyranid MTG Card Spiked 350% in Value Thanks to Sonic the Hedgehog

3 septembre 2025 à 21:00

Magic: The Gathering is in a strange spot right now. With so many ‘Universes Beyond’ products, plus Secret Lairs for third-party IP mounting up, it’s becoming the Super Smash Bros. of card games, and that’s leading to some fun synergies.

As spotted by Wargamer, one Tyranid card from the Warhammer 40k Commander Decks has climbed some serious value in recent weeks thanks to a surprise team-up with, uh, Sonic the Hedgehog.

Winged Hive Tyrant, from the 40K Commander deck Tyranid Swarm, is a 4/4 with flying and haste, as well as text for ‘The Will of the Hive Mind’. It reads “Other creatures you control with counters on them have flying and haste.”

Meanwhile, Sonic the Hedgehog from the recent Secret Lair drop is a 2/4 with haste and ‘Gotta Go Fast’.

“Whenever Sonic the Hedgehog attacks, put a +1/+1 counter on each creature you control with flash or haste,” the text reads, while also creating a Treasure token (tapped) when one of those creatures is dealt damage."

Put this unlikely (some may say unholy) duo together, and you have Sonic dishing out counters, and then the Winged Hive Tyrant giving everything haste and flying.

The best part? Each of these cards is really pretty affordable, despite the limited printing of Warhammer decks and Secret Lair drops.

At the time of writing, Winged Hive Tyrant has spiked on TCGPlayer, but only as far as $4-$5, while Sonic—despite being a Secret Lair card—is around $3 for the non-foil.

So, if you’ve ever wanted to see what happens when a Tyranid teams up with a hedgehog, you can find out for less than $10.

Lloyd Coombes is an experienced freelancer in tech, gaming and fitness seen at Polygon, Eurogamer, Macworld, TechRadar and many more. He's a big fan of Magic: The Gathering and other collectible card games, much to his wife's dismay.
